On one of the wild sacred planets of the sect, there’s a natural race, the most prestigious in the entire Nine Star Tree Sect. This race not only has the most powerful cultivators, but they also pride themselves on being the closest living relative of the legendary Nine Star Tree. This race is the same as Noak’s: the Starry Sky Tree.

Alm and Bruno spent about three months immersed in the vast library of the sect, only leaving when they were sure they had absorbed all the available knowledge.

’Our suspicions are pretty much confirmed. The Nine Star Tree isn’t a natural race, but a mutation in the Starry Sky Tree bloodline. Everything points to the existence of only one individual of this species, though there are legends about this tree even in our previous universe,’ Bruno reflected seriously.

Alm nodded in agreement. ’The God of the Forge seemed certain. For an immortal cultivator to reach that level, they must have some connection to past lives. Maybe they created a reincarnation technique that allows them to recover memories. For him to be so famous, he must be an immortal and have traveled through many universes. But if he managed that, then others could benefit from it too. And with his teacher’s mark, he surely taught that technique to many.’

They both agreed that if this information wasn’t recorded in the library, it wasn’t something anyone was allowed to know. And considering the taboo surrounding the Nine Star Tree, it was clear what had happened.

’The Queen probably stole all of that for herself,’ Bruno added. ’The seed we need to create must have a connection to the whole. Only with the Starry Sky Tribe can we find out more.’

The whale calmly stepped out of the monumental library building. As soon as they set foot outside, three figures rushed to their side: Sesel, Leafar, and Ervly, who had been waiting since they felt his presence arrive at the sect through the array.

"Good to see you’re alright," the whale said, looking directly into their eyes and noticing a subtle apprehension. "Now that I’m here, why don’t you show me around?"

The three nodded silently, as if afraid any word could be overheard. Alm and Bruno had already noticed for a while that, on this planet as vast and powerful as that of the Dragons, at least a dozen heroes were discreetly acting in some buildings.

They showed the sect’s training structures, the most imposing places, and everything they could, perfectly pretending to just be showing their home to an old friend. Then, they led the whale to a teleportation formation.

After pretending they had already shown everything, they planned to take him to their homes. The Nine Star Tree Sect had a different structure. Disciples only visited the main planet to exchange points for resources. Most of the time, they lived on the sect’s divine wild planets, where they cultivated.

These planets were entirely covered by lush nature. On them, countless plant races coexisted in harmony.

Demonic beasts were forbidden, and there were a few divine beasts, but they were just inhabitants of the planets and not sect members. The only unnatural race allowed in the sect were the Elves, the humanoid beings connected to natural life. Although the Feys were too, they hadn’t been part of the sect for a long time; but most of the galaxy’s Elves still resided there.

After meeting the whale at the convention, the three heroic disciples moved to live on a single planet. As prominent members of the sect, their planet was as exalted as possible, being the same home of the Starry Sky Tree race.

Alm and Bruno found themselves on that grand wild planet. The wind was pure, and everything around was dominated by vibrant, radiant nature, similar to the sacred forest they had created on the Pristine planet. But here, the entire planet seemed to pulse with that energy, not just a separate region.

Quickly, the three disciples led the whale to their private places. There, he found two large armies.

Sesel had recruited thousands of Elves, all young ones who had passed rigorous tests. Upon seeing the whale, they visibly became nervous, almost panicking.

Leafar and Ervly presented only one army. It was Ervly’s, made up of hundreds of plant races of all sizes.

As for Leafar, being a master of the beast taming technique — a technique taught to Ruri — he had a personal army hidden in his beast world. He bowed slightly to the whale, saying:

"Sorry, everyone I recruited are demonic beasts with a strong bloody aura. If I release them, the planet and sect will be immediately alerted."

Although Leafar’s army was smaller, with only a few hundred beasts, all were extremely well-trained and resilient. While Sesel’s and Ervly’s armies weren’t as defensive, Leafar focused on recruiting especially strong and defensive demonic beasts. Together, the three formed a force capable of adapting to any battle situation.

The whale nodded in satisfaction. The three had already received permission to add their soldiers to the array earlier. Ruri was their general, and in the future, she would come to the sect and personally oversee the soldiers’ training, ensuring they were ready... since loyalty wasn’t an issue.

Everyone introduced quickly knelt, visibly disturbed in front of the whale, not daring to raise their eyes. These three had been appointed in the past as missionaries of the whale’s religion in their universes.

When tasked with recruiting their soldiers, the priority was to ensure they all were part of the religion. Talent wasn’t the most important thing; absolute loyalty and courage were.

"Great. Later, Ruri will visit them. Soon, the time will come when you can fight by her side," the whale said, handing the three complete and incomplete Daos, as well as techniques.

Before, he had only given them the array. Now, he felt confident enough to share everything they could. Afterward, they would make immortal weapons and items for everyone.

"Sir," Sesel spoke thoughtfully. "Everyone in the sect cultivates a unique Dao of the sect, called the Overgrowth Dao. Should we abandon it now or cultivate it until the right moment?"

Alm and Bruno were uncertain. A unique Dao was often a way to describe an incomplete Dao. They asked for an introduction to the Overgrowth Dao, which wasn’t secret and was part of the sect’s entrance test, used to select disciples who could easily adapt to it.

As they thought about the Overgrowth Dao, they understood why the sect didn’t accept races disconnected from nature. This Dao was a cultivation technique that gathered natural energy and fused it with the body, enhancing affinity with nature and boosting raw power.

This technique multiplied the cultivators’ power several times over, considered their supreme treasure; other types of races were completely incapable of practicing it. In fact, only natural races could fully grasp it. The elves struggled a lot, being the lowest-ranked disciples in the sect because of that.

This was one of the reasons why the Feys left the sect in the past. The Feys could practice this incomplete Dao, but it was so hard that they always remained at the bottom of the sect’s hierarchy.

Living on Gloom, which was protected by heroes, keeping their entire race united, was way more beneficial than being part of one of the biggest sects but staying small and irrelevant.

As for Elf Sesel, she was an anomaly in the sect, and thanks to her, many Elves benefited... something she obviously credited to the whale, creating new followers. But when you think about it, it wasn’t a complete lie.

Sesel’s question came up because everyone in the sect knew that this technique was incomplete. In the early realms of divine cultivation, it was super useful and made a huge difference. However, in the last two realms, it became chaotic, even being able to misdirect Qi and kill the cultivator. That’s why everyone abandoned it over time.

’That... it’s incomplete because it’s way too broad. It’s like a technique meant for all elements and laws possible; it’s impossible to embrace everything at once,’ Bruno analyzed. ’All races connected to nature can practice it, but that’s its flaw. There’s no focus on something specific, and in the end, it turns into chaos.’

Alm agreed, but quickly noticed something surprising. He remembered the Dao of the Fey Goddess he got from Les after the events on Devil Mountain. Excited, he spoke up:

’The Dao of the Fey Goddess! It was created based on this Overgrowth Dao. That Fey learned it in this sect and then completed it, perfectly adapting it for the Feys.’

Bruno’s eyes went wide. An ancient disciple of this sect completed the Dao, and no one knew? No, probably, since the Fey Goddess fought against the Queen and died in the war, everything about her was wiped from history.

Then they both had a brilliant idea. They looked at Sesel, Leafar, and Ervly seriously. "I’ve got an important task for you guys. Let’s isolate ourselves." The three took a deep breath and clenched their fists, ready for anything.

The whale entered a mountain and sealed it, staying only with the three. He used the power of the Behemoth to make sure no one could see anything from the inside.

"This should completely change your lives if you can..." Alm explained what they had discovered and then asked for the complete Overgrowth Dao. The three didn’t hesitate and handed it over immediately.

Days passed, and Alm and Bruno focused as hard as they could. Using the immortal knowledge of the Yang Law, Bruno manipulated natural energy with the Overgrowth Dao. Meanwhile, in his inventory, Alm used the Tree of Chaos, which was a natural life, to enhance it; he had the help of the immortal knowledge of the Laws of Chaos they had recently acquired.

Three days later, they adapted the Dao, using the changes the Fey Goddess made to complete it as a base.

"I’ll call it Near-Overgrowth Dao," the whale said calmly, turning to the three who were anxious. "Now it’s up to you three."

The whale handed them the new base technique. Now, they would have to complete it, using their own bloodlines to make it perfect for themselves.

Fifteen days passed...

It was early morning when everyone on that wild planet felt a shift in the heavenly laws. The most powerful looked up at the sky and noticed the laws focusing on a single point, confused.

Until someone noticed something strange: "This... it looks like three things are popping up?"

Inside the mountain, Sesel, Ervly, and Leafar were wide-eyed, all radiating a pure and sacred aura, mixed with their bloodlines.

"Excellent, now you’ve developed your own Divine Daos," the whale said calmly. "The heavenly laws want a name for this."

The three trembled with their eyes filled with emotions. Then they knelt. They looked at the whale and spoke at the same time.

"Dao of the Faithful Elf."

"Dao of the Follower Blazewillow."

"Dao of the Loyal Willowkins."

Alm and Bruno felt a bit awkward, but kept the whale’s impassive expression. It was lucky to get the Dao from that Fey, along with immortal knowledge in two different perfect areas at the same time. But, no one but them would have the capability to do what they did.

’When it was still an incomplete Dao, this sect was already one of the most powerful. Now, we can make all natural races complete it and develop a specific Dao. Their power will be multiplied thousands of times. Great, let’s make a new unmatched army rise, hehehe...’ Alm murmured with a villainous laugh.
