Alm and Bruno were deep in meditation in their room. After freeing the Chaos Yin Dragon, they received 170 upgrade points and system improvements as a reward. While reflecting on these improvements, a message popped up on the green screen:

[Improvements will only be applied to Main Quests.]

They took a deep breath, trying to control their frustration. They had risked everything in a very dangerous situation, and now the system wouldn’t even reveal what they had gained.

Ruri had mentioned that Kaiyka received a mission against the Divine Inquisitors, and the information provided by Heaven’s Will was essential for them to decide how to proceed. It became clear that using Ruri’s Dao to cut the Inquisitors’ connection to the heavenly laws would be a very effective strategy. The difference in treatment was ridiculous...

’We’re the ones who work the hardest and get the least. Kaiyka even got a blank card as a reward to use any miracle she wants,’ Bruno said, resentfully.

Before this, they had received an optional mission to steal the master key. The reward gave them 10 celestial points and a Divine Level Celestial Knowledge, outside of the traditional options.

They thought of some random knowledge they wanted, but nothing specific came to mind. This only raised suspicions of manipulation by Heaven’s Will, for something that was yet to come.

Then, they reflected on the upgrade points and decided to invest in one of the available celestial knowledges.

The Immortal Level Knowledge of the Yin and Yang Laws cost exactly 170 upgrade points. The fact that they received exactly that amount seemed like another manipulation by Heaven’s Will, suggesting this choice.

If blindly following Heaven’s Will manipulation was the key to victory, all the missionaries would have already achieved great things, and the situation wouldn’t be so desperate. However, Heaven’s Will could see things that Alm and Bruno still couldn’t, including the future, which gave them a certain advantage.

They decided to take a middle path: they would make their own decisions, but when they didn’t see a clear way forward, following the signs from Heaven’s Will didn’t seem like a bad idea.

This was the first Immortal Level Knowledge they received, and the amount of information was absurdly complex. They felt like foolish mortals, starting to learn about cultivation again. They knew it would take years to absorb everything, something they clearly wouldn’t have.

Still, they dedicated themselves as much as they could, excited about the new knowledge. Without realizing it, they entered a deep meditation, disconnected from the world.

During this time, they barely understood the basics, but even that made their minds spin with countless possibilities. They mastered Yin and Yang, so eventually, they would put everything into practice. Since they didn’t have time to study everything calmly, practicing would be the fastest way.

Suddenly, the whale opened its eyes.

They hadn’t realized how much time had passed, and they widened their eyes in alarm. "Damn, was it years?" the whale exclaimed in shock.

Living long and having spent so much time alone created this in them, leaving them desolate. It was at that moment they noticed something on their lap; it was a purple cat with yellowish eyes staring at them.

"Master finally woke up... it’s been so long... thank the heavens! Everyone was desperate, finally!" the cat said, its eyes trembling with emotion.

The whale’s heart raced in despair. How could they have made such a foolish mistake?

Then, a light chuckle sounded, and they turned to the spirit cat, stunned. "Hehehe... master is very serious. I or Ruri could have woken you up without harm easily. It wasn’t years, just eight months," Liumi said, chuckling softly.

The whale sighed in relief. Eight months meant that the sect members had already started exploring the sealed worlds, but they hadn’t had time to attract too many problems yet.

Only the soldiers and disciples of the sect had been sent; their main group would only go to the high-level black worlds. Without him to lead them, they just waited.

It was at that moment that Alm and Bruno noticed Liumi’s strange look at them. Why was she there? They wondered, feeling a slight unease coming from her.

"Did something happen? Why didn’t you call me?" they asked softly.

Liumi sighed, and before answering, through the array, they felt an urgent commotion. Two figures entered the building, running toward the room.

The door opened, revealing Ruri and Quirio, both with nervous and worried expressions. They had sensed the whale waking up through the array and rushed to find it.

"Master..."

"Brother..."

They both spoke at the same time, visibly disturbed. The whale shot them a serious look, demanding an immediate explanation.

"Master, it’s about Mistie... she’s been pregnant for a while..." Ruri started to speak and choked up; at that moment, Alm and Bruno felt a bad premonition.

"... her baby refuses to grow. She’s forcing the baby to survive, using her own life for that, but..." Ruri said, tears streaming uncontrollably.

Alm and Bruno felt an overwhelming pain seeing Ruri’s despair. ’Damn... we knew this would happen,’ Alm murmured bitterly.

"Brother, please, I’m begging you. Only you can do something. She refuses to accept... everyone who analyzed it said this isn’t a normal problem... the laws seem to refuse to grant the three natural energies necessary for growth," Quirio said, clenching his fists in pain; every word felt like a dagger piercing his heart.

"The laws don’t allow us to have a child. But she refuses to accept it... please, save her. Tell her to stop, to accept... I’d rather have her alive," he said, trembling until tears finally fell from his face. "I just want her to survive..."

Alm and Bruno cursed themselves internally. They created this situation, knowing exactly what the outcome would be. How could they have believed that everything would turn out fine?

The answer was obvious to both: once again, they hadn’t put themselves in others’ shoes, and didn’t even bother to deeply reflect on the consequences. If Alm from the past were in Quirio’s place, how would he feel?

With that synchronized thought, Alm and Bruno realized they had caused the same pain they once felt. Their brother and the Fey, who trusted them, were brought into this situation by their own actions.

Suddenly, another strange movement occurred; a subtle and weak aura entered the building quickly.

In the midst of their whirlwind of thoughts, they didn’t even notice the presence approaching through the array. Then, the door opened, and a figure only a few centimeters tall, pale... as pale as death, appeared at the entrance.

"MISTIE!" Ruri shouted in tears, rushing to carefully hold the small Fey. "You’re so weak..."

The Fey looked at the whale with every gram of the little strength she still had. Everyone fell silent in the face of her unwavering determination.

"Please..."

She murmured, placing her hand on her belly. Nothing could be felt or seen there; the small fetus hadn’t even begun to develop. Maybe it had grown for one or two months, but when it needed the energies of life to continue, it didn’t receive them and began to die. Still, it was being sustained by Mistie’s own life, which she refused to let go.

Alm and Bruno felt immensely bad looking into her eyes. A huge shame overwhelmed them.

Mistie paused, gathering strength to keep speaking, until her almost inaudible whisper echoed:

"...I beg you... I want to have him... you possess the will of the heavens... allow me to have this life..."

’Shit, shit, shit...’ Alm cursed himself repeatedly, clearly disturbed by the situation.

Bruno was in shock. They didn’t know how to respond. ’Does she think we’re God or something? Why the hell does she think we can alter the heavenly laws, perform a divine and celestial miracle... or even create life?’

’...’

Suddenly, Alm interrupted his self-punishment, and his eyes widened. Bruno, confused, turned to him, noticing a strange glint in Alm’s gaze.

’...what’s up?’ Bruno asked, tense.

Alm murmured, thoughtful: ’Miracle... creation...’

’How? Even if we had a miracle like ’do whatever the hell you want,’ there are limits and rules. If we cross those limits, the Queen will sense our presence. To make a miracle work, we need to have the exact knowledge of what we’re trying to do and alter reality as little as possible. Without a complete solution... we need... knowledge...’

At the same time, both thought of celestial knowledges. The green screen of the system appeared before them, and they focused on the new option available.

[Divine Level Celestial Knowledge, outside of the available options] [Free]

As soon as they saw the available option, Alm and Bruno selected it without hesitation.

[Decide what type of knowledge you want.]

[Searching...]

[Divine Level] [Races, bloodlines, and everything about the natural life forms of the universe.]

[Accept?] [Yes / No]

Without any discussion or doubt, they accepted instantly. The synchronization between Alm and Bruno was so perfect that they no longer felt like two separate individuals; they thought as one, even while physically apart.

Three seconds after Mistie stopped speaking, a flood of knowledge rushed into their minds. The whale huffed lightly and looked at Ruri. "I’ll take care of this. Keep her stable for a while longer."

The whale said, then closed its eyes.

In the room, everyone jumped, their hearts racing uncontrollably. Excitement and hope grew in each of them. It took them a few seconds to react and smile, almost in disbelief. Soon after, they looked at the whale with tears in their eyes; and when it said it would resolve it, no one doubted.

An hour passed...

Six hours...

A day...

The whale finally opened its eyes. With a thought, a new green screen appeared in front of it.

[Available Celestial Points: 50]

[Miracle of Creation] [10 Celestial Points]

They immediately bought it, but they knew that something so cheap, at the first level, wouldn’t be enough for the grand miracle they were about to perform. Without hesitation, they activated the screen again.

[Available Celestial Points: 40]

[Miracle of Creation] [30 Celestial Points]

[Use again?] [Yes / No]

’Yes.’

Suddenly, everyone in the room felt a multicolored aura emanating from the whale. An immense pressure, both sacred and divine, engulfed the entire place.

The celestial laws and the light of the world seemed to bow before it. Slowly, the whale rose. Its presence radiated the essence of the will of the heavens; at that moment, it was the heavens, the world, and its laws. Everything seemed insignificant before it — it was the law itself.

"Come," the whale called to Mistie.

She trembled completely, but without any hesitation, flapped her small wings and flew towards it. There was no trace of fear. She felt certain seeing it before her; if a deity existed, it would look like that.

The whale gestured slightly, and a small white sphere, radiating life, appeared in front of it. Mistie, without hesitating, flew into it.

At that very moment, runes appeared around the environment, covering everything. They weren’t ordinary runes but celestial runes — the very laws of the world opened up before them.

The runes spun around the whale, which pointed to some of them, pulling them in its direction. It reflected aloud:

"Demon, Fey, Human, Primordial Beast..."

"The human is neutral, the Behemoth can mold itself, the demon is a Yin life... hmm, let’s revert the Fey to its origin and keep everything homogeneous."

"Interesting... the primordial Fey is more neutral, great. Now it’s just a matter of putting the pieces together..."

[Create a new race?] [Yes / No]

The confirmation screen appeared. Alm and Bruno sighed in relief and confirmed.

[Define the name of the new race.]

"Hmm... it’s a new type of Fey, but it’s also nothing like that. Yin is its base, but there are the laws of the earth... I got it: Dire Fey."

[Name registered.]

[New race created, congratulations on the achievement!]
