Alm and Bruno clearly sensed the fluctuations from that person. He was young, with a cultivation level in the early stages of the Divine Origin Realm, but his Qi was extremely weak. They weren’t sure if he was injured, but it was likely. The most important thing was something else: he was human. However, his fluctuations were strange and abnormal.

They turned to Vuorinen, an old dwarf who knew many things about the world. The whale sent him the fluctuations he had sensed. The dwarf pondered for a moment and then nodded affirmatively before speaking:

"He’s from the Three Sovereign Gods Sect. That human sect was formed by the union of three great nations, where three deities reign. All disciples are divided to study one of the three Divine Daos. This young man cultivates the Dao of the Berserker God."

The whale almost let out a sarcastic smile. A human sect divided into three groups? Powerful humans splitting up? That had all the makings of chaos, with each side trying to suppress and destroy the other. Schemes, political moves, intrigues... all the things humans excel at.

"Pff... this galaxy must be full of isomeric dramas. A real game of thrones... let’s just ignore it and pretend we didn’t see anything," Bruno scoffed, preparing to completely ignore the situation. Getting involved in human problems was a massive headache.

"Sir, if I may, I think we should do something." Seeing the whale disinterested, the dwarf spoke up. "Yes, humans are always killing each other and creating senseless problems among themselves. But the Berserkers cultivate a different Dao. They don’t get involved in intrigues and are very friendly with dwarves. It’s because of them that we dwarves can maintain a good relationship with that sect. I give you my word, they don’t cause problems... well... not for humanoids."

Alm and Bruno were intrigued by his words. If a well-experienced dwarf vouched for something like that, it wasn’t trivial. Among humans, there are good and bad, just like any race, but when too much power is involved, the greedy and evil ones are attracted and band together.

’Maybe it’s good to help him. If he’s really someone worthy, we’ll forge a bond with that sect. Soon, we’ll have to face everyone at the Convention; this could be useful,’ Alm reflected seriously.

Bruno nodded thoughtfully. ’But this formation is high-level. Without Ruri with us, we can’t save him discreetly.’

They both sighed; it had only been a day, and they already missed her. ’It’s time to accept that we’re not good at being sneaky. This is the work of one of the three major factions of that sect; we’ll just cause trouble with one and ally with another,’ Alm said dryly.

The whale turned to the dwarf and nodded positively. With Ruri by their side, things would be simpler. But destroying this formation was easy for them; the law they created could destroy even the seals of primordial beasts, and a human formation was ridiculous in comparison.

But they couldn’t save that human from this high-level formation; if they used their law to destroy it, everything would explode violently, and he would die. The solution was simple: they just needed to make the creators of the formation open it for them.

The whale moved and reached out to the runes of the formation. Within his inventory, the runes of the law Duality of Shadows began to be created rapidly. Dozens of runes appeared and moved to specific spots within the formation.

*Crack! Crack!*

The Duality of Shadows law was carefully used to destroy only the weakest points of the formation. It wasn’t enough to destroy it, but certainly enough for the creators to notice. A high-level formation definitely had security mechanisms.

The whale kept inserting his laws one by one, calmly, and small parts of the formation were slowly being destroyed.

Until, within minutes, intense fluctuations were felt arriving at the planet and shooting towards the south pole, where they were.

Alm and Bruno smiled and moved to the top of the hole they had created. Based on that young man’s cultivation, it was likely a fight between disciples. And as expected, only humans with similar cultivation came.

The dwarf and Thea felt a dozen auras approaching on the horizon. Thea sighed and prepared her weapon.

The whale turned to her and shook his head. They couldn’t kill them, as the dwarves were allies, and that would cause problems; if these youngsters dared to do this, it meant they had big figures backing them, and killing them now would be problematic.

The group of a dozen humans arrived and immediately focused on the trio. Mentally, the dwarf spoke to the whale:

’They’re humans who cultivate the Dao of the Warlock God. These bastards are always involved in bloody schemes. I’m sure they sealed that Berserker to drain the energy of his Dao! That’s considered taboo, so they did it secretly and spared no resources on this formation.’

The whale smiled; it was simple: humans killing others to gain something. They probably did this to get extra power for the Convention.

The angry voice of a young man with long red hair rang out towards the trio. "YOU! How dare you interfere in my business?"

"Human! I’ve seen what you’ve done here; you’re not getting away," Vuorinen growled harshly.

"Stupid dwarf, if I did it, it’s because I can. Do you think you’ll leave here alive to report me?"

He retorted coldly, and then all the others behind him nodded. Suddenly, thousands of small runes appeared and quickly covered all directions, creating a closed dome around the trio.

Vuorinen scoffed at the sight of it. His body glowed, and his cultivation in the Divine Sovereign Realm emerged. "Hmph, what nonsense is this? Do you think this can trap me?"

"Trap us? Not at all. These runes are linked to our lives. If you want to get through, you’ll have to kill us." The human said, then laughed sarcastically. "With your cultivation, that should be easy, but I’d like to see if you have the guts. I’m the son of the Warlock Emperor, one of the three leaders of the sect. Would you dare kill me and my servants? Hahaha!"

The dwarf’s expression darkened. The Three Sovereign Gods Sect didn’t have a single leader; it was ruled by three Emperors. If he killed this young man, the boy’s father would certainly find out and start a war with the dwarves. Even if they were in the wrong, humans were irrational and petty enough to come up with random justifications and still pretend to be the righteous side of the story.

"Now that you understand, let me warn you: you’ve messed with something that will cost you your life. I’m going to kill all three of you, and if you resist, my father will send someone to deal with you. Save me the trouble and just kill yourself already, you ridiculous dwarf."

The voice was cold as Vuorinen clenched his fists in fury. The answer was obvious; the God of the Forge was with him, and no dwarf would blame him for taking out these three. In fact, if they knew someone dared to threaten their God, the dwarves themselves would start a war, enraged. To hell with what came afterward.

He was about to take a step forward, but the whale just sighed and turned to the dwarf. "Stay quiet. They came to help us; I’m the one who called them."

The dwarf’s eyes widened at these words, while the humans above started laughing uncontrollably upon hearing this.

*RUMBLE!!!*

Suddenly, all the runes in the dome around them trembled. A wave of Qi surged like a wild, destructive force. The ground began to shake, and spatial laws twisted.

All the humans immediately felt their hearts pounding wildly in their chests. They looked down at the ground and saw the image of the whale, now terrified.

Around him, there seemed to be an aura capable of destroying the world with a single move.

"I was looking for a punching bag to practice on." The whale’s voice was slow and cold, and all the humans felt a primal fear growing inside them. "Thanks for volunteering."

He took a step forward and then suddenly leaped. Everything seemed to move in slow motion, but no one could move a muscle. Then he punched.

*BOOM!*

Space shattered, and a violent boom reverberated throughout the wild planet. The dwarf was stunned; but when he smelled the blood and realized that all the humans had been turned into a bloody mist, his eyes lit up.

It was a single move...

The whale landed calmly on the ground. The dome around them didn’t even budge. It took a second, then golden runes appeared above, and the resurrection began.

Vuorinen looked at those golden runes and sighed in surprise. They were undoubtedly Empyrean Conquerors. In his long life, he knew that Conquerors were incredibly rare, something almost no one had ever seen. That’s why he hadn’t thought of it before.

It was always known that these cultivators existed in the great sects, and they were considered legendary figures everywhere. But nowadays, they were wandering the world desperately, scouring every place in search of resources.

He thought he could kill those youths, but in reality, it had been impossible from the start. The dwarf’s face twisted. Those youths had been provoking him on purpose, just to make him attack.

They didn’t need anyone to send people to deal with him. His failure to kill them would be even more ridiculed. He could never win, and eventually, he would run out of Qi and truly be killed; there was no way he could handle immortals.

And his attempt would undoubtedly be recorded and then used against the dwarves in the future. These humans never miss a single opportunity to profit.

Alm and Bruno waited calmly for them to resurrect. With their current power, they couldn’t kill them easily. Certainly, if they swallowed the golden runes in their inventory, that would stop them from reviving. But the goal wasn’t to kill them.

In five seconds, all those humans were fully resurrected. Immediately, they turned to face the whale, who was lazily staring back at them.

"That was a good punching bag," he commented calmly. "But now that the warm-up is over... it’s been a while since I’ve had a little fun."

Alm spoke, and Bruno just sighed, letting him do whatever he wanted. As for the twelve humans, they felt a cold sweat trickle down their spines. The whale smiled and took a step up, disappearing. Suddenly, he appeared above them and made a light movement, punching downward.

*CRACK! BOOM!*

It was as if a colossal beast had delivered a blow to the twelve, sending them crashing to the ground without any defense.

But this time, they didn’t explode into a bloody mist.

It only took a few seconds for that red-haired youth leading them to stand up, his body completely battered and in a pitiful state.

"HOW DARE YOU ATTACK ME?!"

He roared, and all his power activated. The whale saw five mystical runes light up on the human’s body. Suddenly, laws of fire and wind began to circulate around him; it was the Warlock God’s Dao.

Alm and Bruno watched closely. It was indeed a divine Dao; they clearly felt the two laws merging perfectly. Fire and wind intertwined, and then the human roared in fury, unleashing an explosive wave upward.

*BOOM!*

An apocalyptic explosion echoed. Above, everything became distorted, and the other humans finally got up, severely injured.

The red-haired youth grinned wickedly, spitting. "A disgusting hybrid trying to compete with me? Just because you have some physical power…"

"And a really interesting Dao," the whale’s voice cut in calmly.

Fire and Wind together formed an explosive and terrifying combination. From the five runes that appeared on that young man, it was clear that this Dao had the potential to unite all the basic natural elements. The offensive power was immense, but the physical bodies of these youths revealed a major defensive flaw. They had probably tried to steal something from that other human to compensate for this weakness.

"KILL THIS BASTARD!"

The leader roared, as Fire and Wind united again. The others around him also activated their Daos, and various elements appeared within them. Each one had specialized in combining two distinct elements, creating varied and unique attacks. It was, without a doubt, an interesting Dao.

But Alm and Bruno had seen enough. Two Yin and Yang tattoos appeared on their fists. Using basic laws against them? That was a joke.

In an instant, all the laws around the humans froze. Their eyes widened. The whale smiled. "Hope you have fun."

*BANG!*

With a single punch, they were all reduced to bloody mists.

They resurrected right after, but the experience changed. The whale began to destroy them slowly, piece by piece. And so, the cycle repeated… and repeated… each time in a different way, each death a new form of pain.

After almost fifty times, the humans were resurrecting, screaming in despair. It was an endless torture.

They then realized that the whale was laughing sinisterly; he was really enjoying himself, and this seemed far from over.

After a hundred times, they resurrected and tried to flee. There were twelve of them, and if they all ran, maybe they could escape… but Thea stopped them. With a single shot, they fell, but they didn’t die so easily.

The cycle continued dozens of times. The whale seemed to notice where they felt the most pain, making everything even worse. Each death was more painful than the last.

"Let me go! I’ll remove the dome!"

*CRACK!*

One of them tried to speak, but the whale kicked him, silencing him without killing him easily. "Why leave so soon? We’re having fun."

"What do you want?!" The leader roared in complete desperation.

"Just remove the formation underground and leave behind all your spatial rings and everything you have." The whale said calmly. The human trembled, but Alm wouldn’t give him time to respond.

*BANG!*

His body exploded, and he resurrected with a contorted face. The whale smiled sinisterly and advanced toward him.

After dozens of times… suddenly, tears of sheer terror streamed down his face. "Spare me! I’ll obey!"

"Hm? I’m just recalling my techniques, wait a few more hours." The whale said coldly.

The human tried to say something, but was silenced. He died again after several minutes. When each of them resurrected, they were first broken to prevent them from escaping or screaming. Then, the fun continued. It was a process impossible to escape or react to.

"Let me go, I beg you!" After a few more hours, the leader was resurrecting on his knees, begging.

"Hm? Where’s your arrogance now?" The whale sighed sarcastically.

Seeing the whale pause for a second, the human immediately activated a hidden spatial rune in his body. Inside was his spatial ring; it was a technique that helped him avoid being robbed even if his body exploded.

A useful technique that guaranteed the protection of his belongings during resurrection. But it was his downfall, as this demon in the form of a whale didn’t allow him to make the move and retrieve it.

He desperately threw the ring toward the whale, surrendering everything he had. Seeing this, all the other humans did the same.

"The key to the underground formation is inside!" one of them quickly said.

The whale looked inside the ring of the one who spoke and confirmed there was a key to the formation’s control.

"What a shame… anyway." The whale snorted and then took a step.

All the humans contorted their faces in anticipation of the pain to come… but they only felt the world spin with a violent impact.

*BANG!*

The whale kicked them away, and they all shot out like blood missiles, being launched off the planet.
