The altar in the center of the black lake slowly rose into the air, releasing an unlimited murderous intent. It felt like a berserk demon god about to annihilate the entire world. The whole lake trembled violently, and the aura became increasingly suffocating.

The whale joined Ruri, and both quickly moved towards the altar. A black rune detached from the altar and began to writhe. Ruri waved her hand, and countless multicolored runes appeared, surrounding the black rune. The entire formation had created the demonic metal but had obviously sealed it inside; when it was ready, it would send a message to the sect.

In seconds, the rune and the entire formation were dominated with the help of the Dao of the God of Formation. Ruri waved, and the whale climbed onto the altar. The entire seal on the metal was undone, and then they saw and felt something unusual.

’Does this... have a soul?’ Bruno said, surprised.

At the center, there wasn’t a crude, malevolent metal as usual. Instead, there was something very close to a two-meter black blade. And the strangest thing was that Alm and Bruno immediately felt, at the center of the blade, an immortal core and a soul inside.

Suddenly, the blade pulsed and moved on its own, creating chaos in the surroundings. A rough, almost guttural voice sounded: "Finally... free... that hero... I will fight again, you’ll pay!"

Alm and Bruno narrowed their eyes. ’Hero? Well, screw that,’ Alm thought, and the whale activated the Yin tattoo.

When the power of the tattoo was activated, all the Yin in the demonic metal was sealed. The blade trembled and became unable to release its power.

"YOU! YOU FILTHY HUMAN!" The voice roared furiously, focused on the whale. Seeing his lack of expression, the voice noticed Ruri beside him. "A typical lecherous human, next to a B..."

The whale’s gaze narrowed, cutting off the voice’s words, and Alm activated the tattoos. The blade fell violently from the sky with terrifying force.

The blade crashed into the ground and embedded itself. All the black water of the lake evaporated instantly, and the surrounding area fractured due to its immense weight.

The whale snorted dryly. He had dared to curse Ruri in their presence. They would have killed him immediately in any other situation. Both approached the trembling blade in the ground.

"Hmph, don’t pretend to be dead. I have some questions for you," the whale said coldly, and Alm was clearly eager for him to refuse.

But no matter how they called out, the blade refused to respond. They didn’t know if he had really fainted from rage or was just intentionally ignoring them. But Alm certainly liked his courage; they had many ’fun’ methods to make him talk.

Alm narrowed his eyes, and a bloody aura emanated from him. When he threatened to use the tattoo’s power again, Bruno intervened. ’It’ll be worse, idiot. I’ll handle it, just stay quiet.’

Bruno took over. The whale stepped forward, and the blade stopped trembling. He then rolled up his pants and took off his shoes, followed by his socks.

Ruri looked at the whale, curious. She had no idea what he was thinking.

"The last few days have been so exhausting. I’ve got blisters on my feet. This blade looks sharp enough for a pedicure," the whale said, starting to lift the blade and bring it close to his foot.

"STOP! YOU DAMN HUMAN, HOW DARE YOU TREAT ME LIKE THIS?! STOP!" The voice sounded panicked and furious.

"What did you say? It’s an honor for you?" The whale touched his foot to the blade.

Suddenly, a light flashed, and the whale immediately pulled his foot back. However, the blade cut his sole, causing blood to gush out.

Bruno was surprised. Such a heavy weapon should focus on weight, but it was unexpectedly also very sharp.

Moreover, his blood was pouring out like a flood because of the wound. There was some special energy in the wound trying to make his blood clot. This also shocked him; this metal had a strange power.

Bruno waved his hand, and the power of faith circulated, but he narrowed his eyes and used more and more power of faith. After wasting almost twenty times more than expected, the strange energy disappeared, and the cut closed.

Just that small cut on his foot, which barely pierced the skin, consumed an enormous amount of energy to heal. After a moment, the whale silently put his socks and shoes back on.

The voice roared again. "Bastard, you will never subjugate me! I will break free and kill all humans, take revenge on this cursed race and that hero! Then..."

"Ruri, you should turn around. He’s naive and not very obedient right now, so I’ll use my central elixir to baptize him and let him be reborn."

The whale stepped on the blade with one foot. Ruri was confused but didn’t question and immediately turned around. The whale slowly placed his hand on his belt.

"Hey! What do you think you’re doing?!" A furious and alarmed voice sounded.

"Child, don’t be afraid. Let me baptize you in my divine elixir. You will be completely reborn. Through my baptism, you will no longer be violent. You won’t be lost anymore. My divine elixir will guide you. It will light the beacon of your life. You will no longer be a lost sheep. Your life will finally have meaning and direction..." Divine light suddenly began to bathe the whale’s face as he spoke devoutly and piously.

Ruri couldn’t hold back a laugh. Even though she was turned away from him, just hearing the absurdity he was saying, she could imagine his righteous expression.

"Bastard, don’t you dare! You can’t!" the voice cried out desperately.

The blade struggled, but it was sealed and had no power. With the whale stepping on it, there was no way to hurt him. It trembled violently.

"Child, my divine elixir is coming. I haven’t drunk much water lately, so it might be a little yellow. You have to savor it carefully and make sure to experience it fully. Don’t be afraid; only by breaking from the past can you build success in the future. Without experiencing the pain of the cocoon, how can you ever become a butterfly? Prepare yourself. The divine baptism is about to happen." The whale took a deep breath, preparing to release the divine baptism.

"Bastard! Damn human! I don’t... fine! I admit defeat! Let me go, and don’t you dare pee!" The blade’s voice was full of anger and resentment, but it admitted defeat nonetheless.

"You really don’t want my divine baptism? This is the first time I’ve offered my baptism to others. My essence has become very thick. Don’t you want to consider it?" the whale asked with a solemn expression.

"You’re a supreme monster! I admit defeat. If you want to ask something, just ask," the voice spat out resentfully.

Bruno smiled wickedly. He finally found the weakness of this evil blade. The stronger it was, the greater its dignity and ego, and the more it would be offended by an insult.

Only then did the whale stop preparing for his divine baptism. Rolling up his belt... or rather, putting away his divine tool, he tidied his clothes.

Alm took over and asked, "When did you fight against the Hero? And how many exchanges did you last before being defeated?"

He wanted to know how strong this blade was. It said it wanted to fight again, so it must have tried once; to dare challenge a hero, it had to be extraordinary.

"This question..." The voice began to stammer.

The whale’s expression turned odd. "A hundred exchanges?" he probed.

"Um... a bit less," it answered awkwardly.

"Eighty exchanges?" Alm spat out quickly.

"Close, just a bit less."

"Fifty exchanges?"

"Maybe... no, a bit less again."

"Thirty? Twenty? Ten?... Five?" Alm asked each response met with repeated negatives.

The voice spoke pompously, "Numbers are relative and meaningless. Why cling to such small things?"

"Don’t tell me you got defeated in just one move?!" Alm said dryly.

The voice didn’t respond this time. Alm snorted, "A bastard who only knows how to brag."

"What do you think a hero is?! How many people in this world dare to challenge one?! No matter how you put it, at least I had the courage to fight him!" the voice roared.

"Pff... what a waste, it’s just trash. I’ll just melt it down, maybe a restart can save it." The whale said emotionlessly.

The voice retorted, "What do you know?! Heroes are the pinnacle of this world! And I am not a weapon, damn you! My true body is still alive, I will reclaim it!"

"With just you? Maybe you could if I sent you to reincarnate. As for this metal, it’ll be useful to me." The whale spat.

The voice roared, "You’ll never succeed! I’ll destroy myself and take all this demonic metal with me!"

Ruri watched as her master and a piece of demonic metal cursed at each other. She covered her mouth and started laughing. She couldn’t understand how things had escalated to this point, but it was rare to see her master arguing like this.

Finally, Alm lost his patience and used the tattoos. The entire blade froze and fell silent.

The situation was strange; this spirit was oddly irrational. And if it really wanted to explode, Alm and Bruno could use their divine soul, but it was impossible to prevent everything, and the precious demonic metal would be severely damaged.
