The whale snorted, and at the same time, the tattoos on its fists glowed intensely. With a thought, Yin and Yang merged. In another moment, its divine souls returned to their primordial state, reaching Wuji.
"Corin, get ready."
The whale said, as all the invincible spatial laws converged towards the group.
Alm and Bruno sighed in sync. Where were they? In a devastated battlefield where cultivators of incredible levels had died. How many had perished here over the years? And how many had died just in the last hour?
The whale made a gesture, and immediately the ground vibrated. At the same moment, all the land in a vast area turned black and pulsed with a macabre energy; it was the purest form of Death’s Yin.
This energy rose from the ground and enveloped the group in a sphere. At the same moment, explosive sounds echoed like thunder in everyone’s ears.
The Yin served as a shield to protect them, but in an instant, it turned into a completely cracked eggshell, about to explode.
The whale signaled, and an opening appeared above. A powerful spatial blade sliced toward the group. Corin roared and leapt, and soon the dark environment was covered in a swirl of colors.
BANG! BANG! BANG!
A series of destructive blades struck Corin repeatedly. All his physical cultivation and bloodline were pushed to the limit, turning him into a human shield. It took only a second for the opening to close.
Corin fell to the ground, completely bloodied, but quickly got up. The entire group took a deep breath when they saw all the cracks in the Yin shield heal. However, the recovery lasted only a few seconds.
Everything looked like an eggshell again. The whale gently set Ruri on the ground, then leapt. A new opening appeared, and the blades started coming in. It collided with them and blocked all the attacks, amidst explosive and violent sounds.
The whale landed on the ground, its body showing some wounds, but in better shape than Corin. Its physical cultivation was higher, and the laws of the earth provided it with greater natural defense.
The Yin shield recovered once more. But soon Corin had to block again, followed by the whale. They took turns and were repeatedly injured; Alm used the Yin as a shield, redirecting part of the tension inward when it was at its limit.
Despite Corin being severely injured, his physical cultivation had a high natural regeneration, and the power of faith could recover both when they reached a limit. This was only possible because the Yin in that place was as powerful as the spatial laws.
Still, they were at their limit and with their backs against the wall. The Yin was wearing out faster than the spatial laws and would eventually leave them vulnerable.
Outside, all the demons watched in shock from the sky at the epicenter of the battle. They could clearly see the black sphere covering and blocking the invincible spatial laws. How was this possible? The demon leader wondered, alarmed.
All the distortions and dangers from the spatial laws were concentrated in a single point. It had been a few hours since the whale’s group entered the sealed world. During this time, all the cultivators from smaller sects who had been invited had entered some time ago.
That sealed world wasn’t large, only a few kilometers. But no one could see far or move quickly due to the deadly danger present.
Now, all the cultivators were safe in that place, thanks to the demon’s movement. But, as Alm and Bruno had noticed earlier, it was empty and showed no sign of that precious life form.
With nothing more to do, everyone started moving toward the battle, curious to see what was happening.
There were millions of demons, but the number of ’invited’ cultivators present was four times greater. In no time, everyone had gathered at a safe distance around the epicenter. Recognizing the demons’ clothes as belonging to the Shadow God Sect, it wasn’t hard to figure out they were trying to exterminate the whale’s group.
Muted sounds of destruction echoed incessantly. Six hours had passed with no visible change. However, the demon leader could clearly see that the Yin was extremely weakened, while the spatial laws hadn’t diminished even a third of their strength.
"Just a little more..." he murmured coldly.
Thirty minutes later, a cracking sound resonated.
The spherical Yin shield fractured completely and couldn’t recover, trembling with an imminent final explosion. All the demons tightened their grips on their weapons; it was coming to an end.
"Hahahaha!" The demon leader laughed, excited, as he focused on the golden tablet he was holding. If he was quick enough, he could salvage the remains of the bodies as proof of his victories and maybe even obtain their treasures.
CRACK!!
The Yin collapsed, and everyone around watched attentively. Suddenly, all the spatial laws froze.

"WHAT?" The demon leader tightened the tablet, stunned.
In an instant, the spatial laws began to tremble...
Then everything moved smoothly...
Everyone’s eyes widened as they saw that power seemingly being magically directed to a single point.
The runes and spatial power moved towards the sky... then, a luminous point appeared like a star before everyone’s eyes. A calm voice echoed from all directions.
"Come to me."
Instantly, all the laws trembled, and with a terrifying speed, everything was pulled into a black hole in the sky.
It took two seconds... and everything evaporated as if it had never existed.
Then, everyone’s trembling eyes saw the light in the sky dim. Soon, they discerned a small human figure.
She looked like a fairy coming out of a painting. She descended gently from the sky and landed beside the whale, holding its hand. They exchanged glances, and a satisfied smile appeared on Ruri’s face.
"Good job."
The whale said softly, then turned forward. With that gaze, all the demons were petrified, as if their souls had been cruelly stabbed.
The cultivators watching from a distance were divided between confusion and shock. They only saw the whale and Corin completely bloodied, trying to understand what had happened. Their sects had never been to this place, so they had no knowledge of the level of danger and power of these spatial laws. They thought it was spatial power from some demon’s trick; they had no idea of the magnitude of what they had witnessed.
Alm and Bruno smiled inwardly. They might have used the Yin earlier and perhaps eliminated everyone quickly. However, besides not knowing what the demons had in store, they still needed information.
"You wanted me alive? Well, I wanted you alive too." The whale murmured softly.
Ruri squeezed the whale’s hand and her eyes lit up. All the spatial power was absorbed into her internal spatial rune. The rune was an artifact from the Behemoth seal, composed of the highest-level spatial laws possible. Probably something used by immortal cultivators to seal the primordial beast.
In other words, the level of her internal rune was higher than the laws of that place, which were merely remnants of the past. Ruri still didn’t fully control this power, but she found a method to attract and store the laws in the rune.
"Come."
She spoke slowly, activating a small part of the spatial laws. Immediately, the demon leader felt the space around him warp. Then, he felt a hand gripping his neck tightly.
He widened his eyes as he realized he was face to face with the whale. It wasn’t the whale that moved, but he who was forced to move. He was almost teleported to the front of the whale.
"Go ahead."
Ruri said softly, making a gesture. The people around were confused, thinking she would let the demons escape. However, the demons didn’t move an inch, paralyzed by the sense of impending death.
"Forever, of course." She added sarcastically, and then...
BOOOM!
The space in the sky ruptured, and all the demons exploded simultaneously in a shower of black blood.
"Kaiyka, a perfect live one for you." The whale waved, sealing all the demon’s cultivation and movements before throwing him back.
Ruri staggered. She couldn’t fully control the power, but using it brutally was simple, though it exhausted her greatly. She climbed back onto the whale’s back and closed her eyes, passing out. All those cultivators around felt terrified by the spatial power, but also saw that she couldn’t use it again.
Kaiyka grabbed the demon. Reading the memories while he was still alive would provide valuable information and make bypassing obstacles easier. She thought about starting the process but stopped and looked around.
She and the entire group realized they were surrounded by a swarm of cultivators four times larger. They were all from the smaller sects, and they stared at them coldly.
