The multicolored world of Corin was eclipsed. Suddenly, a small point in the sky shone like a black star, making the celestial laws tremble. All the Yin in the environment was drawn in, as if a new divine law was summoning it.

Alm and Bruno felt the presence of that star; it was the soul gem that kept Rehvka alive. She had learned to use the powers of this gem and used it as the basis to complete her Dao. Within a second, the heavens collapsed, and a mist of death descended upon the land.

The entire environment became so cold it could freeze the soul. It was a presence of death so palpable that everyone felt as if they were in the middle of a battlefield, where mountains of corpses lay scattered.

It wasn’t just an analogy. The Yin of death, equivalent to this scenario, simply appeared without warning, engulfing them. Everyone felt suffocated. But everything around converged towards a single demonic target, completely sealing everything around it.

In all universes within the black holes of the underworld, one celestial rule always prevailed: where there was Yang, there would also be Yin, and vice versa. Even if it was 99% Yang, it would never exceed that; the world would balance itself with Yin naturally emerging nearby. If there was no force maintaining this maximum imbalance, the tendency towards equilibrium would prevail.

Alm and Bruno watched all the phenomena in awe. That soul gem disappeared and, just like Ruri’s Dao, Rehvka no longer existed anywhere. Ruri imprisoned her targets in a separate world, becoming the world and its laws, like a lunar goddess. Rehvka, on the other hand, attracted the Yin of death from the entire region, becoming completely an incarnation of this law.

It was an astonishing Dao that, no matter the situation, was effective. Yin would always exist somewhere; Rehvka could simply attract it from the environment and literally become one with it.

"Die!"

Dem Zarn was enveloped in a dense, thick black domain. He couldn’t be seen with the eyes; everyone just heard and slightly felt the fluctuations. He roared furiously and tried to attack in all directions.

All the Yang in his body was completely erased by a power at the level of celestial laws. It was as if the world and its laws were attacking and trying to eliminate him at all costs. He couldn’t counterattack. Later, he tried to escape, but that was impossible; there was simply no way out other than trying to stay alive...

CRACK!

Until a black dagger emerged from the void like a malevolent ghost, piercing him. His black blood spread everywhere.

"You bitch!"

He roared and tried to break free, but couldn’t. In the next second, another sound of a small blade cutting through the air was heard. At that moment, everyone felt the Emperor’s Domain Technique completely unravel. She did it!

Alm and Bruno could feel Rehvka’s presence through the array. Therefore, they felt the events clearly surprising them. That dagger was made of Dark Ice, which they had gotten from a random chest. They had received information about this material through the Dao of the God of Forge, so they thought it was just something rare; but now they realized it was something truly special beyond what they could imagine. (Chapter 428)

Dark Ice is formed exclusively in the underworld under very specific conditions. Upon contact with a person, it can even drain all their life and Yang. This affects both enemies and the user. Not even pure Yin life forms of the underworld can use this Dark Ice. Despite not having Yang, their lives are devoured. It is considered a taboo and deadly material, used only by those wishing to perform a suicidal act.

But Rehvka was a special life form, and her body had no life or Yang. Everything was within the soul gem in her heart. Only she could use it without suffering retaliation. And that... could really kill Dem Zarn.

After hitting Dem Zarn multiple times, the Chaos Dragon bloodline instinctively moved to nullify the technique and save him with all its strength. If the bloodline moved instinctively to save him, it meant that even his resurrection power wouldn’t save him if Rehvka hit him directly again.

After this confrontation, the fight stabilized. Dem Zarn’s defensive power prevented the dagger from piercing him again. Alm and Bruno sighed; if Rehvka had the sharpening seal, she could’ve easily killed him.

She wouldn’t be able to win, and the Qi cost to maintain this Dao was high. But, as long as her Dao was active, even this powerful demon could only defend with everything or die.

’Our disciple saved us.’ Alm and Bruno grumbled, then turned back.

"We don’t have time; this is our only opportunity, and it will last for two minutes," the whale said to everyone.

At that moment, Corin completely deactivated his Dao. The whale pulled out Liumi and snorted dryly.

ROOOAR!

Deryu roared furiously after being fully suppressed. The four women widened their eyes, feeling a solid sense of death locking them in place. They were relatively separated, but everyone stared at them furiously, and a dark smile appeared on their faces.

There was no time to waste. In a second, a sea of blood needles emerged from the void around two of them; Idris consumed all the blood possible at once. The demoness and the dark elf roared in fury and tried to block, but thousands of spikes attacked mercilessly from all sides.

While they were defending, they felt their bodies stiffen. The environment around them became covered in a greenish mist, and poisonous lines appeared in their eyes. Kisala appeared above, using all her poison rune and everything she had at once.

CRACK!!

An axe breaking through space hit the dark elf, shattering her defenses. The poison and needles penetrated her body. Ambry attacked with his runic seal, then pulled out the Tomahawk and attacked without hesitation.

The other two tried to help, but hundreds of flying swords surrounded them from all sides. Calirer waved, attacking, and the human and the demon beast tried to block. But suddenly, hidden figures emerged right behind them.

Zaimo and Quirio smiled. Quirio’s eyes lit up, and his demon bloodline ignited. He attacked with a black explosion, while Zaimo roared and unleashed his most powerful armament. A cannon exploded, and a missile advanced. A double attack, with everything from both, hit the two from behind.

The four were ruthlessly targeted at the same time. But it didn’t last more than five seconds. On the side of the human and the beast, they only saw their world suddenly covered in darkness. The Dual Dragon Breath, with all the forces of Runula and Deryu, turned them to ashes.

On the other side, the two whose bodies were covered in green veins only felt a subtle fluctuation when a sea of wooden spikes, surrounded by a purple aura, encircled and impaled them mercilessly; the whale and Liumi attacked.

Afterwards, above, a furry white figure pulsed. Then, a white net covered a vast area.

The attacks were at maximum strength but at the same time calculated. They destroyed their physical bodies but not the souls. Thea didn’t attack because her power was too extreme. Everything was prepared for Coltia’s divine silk net, which was created with all her capacity. The net surrounded them and in a second closed, trapping the four souls and gathering them together.

SLASH!!

A katana cut cleanly. With a single move, the souls of the four were shattered. In the next second, heroic runes formed and started the resurrection...

SLASH!!

"Just die," said Kaiyka dryly as her blade returned to its sheath.

The whale made a swift move, grabbing two shining points in the air. Unfortunately, to kill them, it was necessary to destroy their bodies and souls, which prevented them from obtaining information from their memories. The only hope of finding a way out was in the belongings they carried.

They moved and killed two, calculating where their rings were without damaging them. Now, holding them, they quickly inspected the contents...

"Ruri!" The whale roared and threw one of the rings towards her.

Ruri caught the ring and looked at the contents. Inside was a black tablet, very similar to the one the elder of the Shadow God branch possessed, but this one was radiating boundless pressure and authority. This was definitely from the main sect.

Ruri carefully analyzed the tablet and felt the same as her master. There was a subtle and minimal spatial connection. She focused on sensing the connection using the spatial laws... A minute passed before she opened her eyes.

"This connects to a nearby place, it seems like a small separate world... but it’s not the center of the galaxy; it must be where the branch is," she quickly said to the whale.

Alm and Bruno quickly reflected. That must be a communicator between the people of the branch and the main sect. Since the women and Dem Zarn received the mission from the branch, they got support through the tablet, maintaining minimal communication.

Inside the secret world, nothing could communicate with the outside world. If this tablet still maintained the connection, it was a strong enough link to be used by someone daring enough.

"Can you use the tablet?" the whale quickly asked.

"I know a high-level spatial formation that can do this... but... the level of Qi required is impossible," Ruri replied, distressed.

Alm and Bruno had only one more minute before Rehvka lost her strength. At that moment, something in the whale’s body vibrated. They turned to the mark of the Immortal Golem and suddenly had an idea.

"Prepare the formation," the whale ordered, immediately summoning all the nearby golems and jumping towards them.

When they arrived, everyone looked at the whale. He snorted and spoke dryly. "The Immortal Golem gave me the task of taking care of you. I need the help of all of you, give me all the Qi from your bodies and meridians. Abandon the body you cultivated and give me everything. I won’t abandon you and will take the heart of earth from all of you. Afterwards, you will gradually rebuild yourselves."

After these words, all the thousands of golems in the secret world bowed in unison. They knew the urgency of the situation and did not hesitate. From the moment they were born, they knew their mission. This round figure was the one who would take care of them and lead them out of this prison. Losing the body and cultivation? That was irrelevant, their bodies were just something disposable with the Dao of the Golem God.

The whale waved, and the Yin and Yang tattoos pulsed, sucking everything like two black holes and directing it into the array. Ruri received an almost infinite amount of Qi.

"We don’t have time, twenty seconds left," the whale said to her while collecting all the earth hearts of the golems for inventory.

Ruri snorted. The formation was 40% complete, but there wasn’t enough time. She moved and positioned all the Qi she received roughly. It would be more than enough to use the full formation, so the excess would be used to make up for the lack of time and create a wild explosion to break the space.

Ten seconds...

Five seconds...

Everyone was gathered around Ruri. The whale pulled out Fides and got ready.

The Yin domain opened. In the same second, the heavy sword brutally fell, and the celestial flames clashed with Dem Zarn.

"GHAAA!"

He roared, feeling his existence melt and burn in deep pain.

The whale moved, and its arms grabbed a shadow in the midst of the dispersing Yin. Rehvka appeared and hugged the whale. They ran immediately towards Ruri.

Two seconds later...

Dem Zarn opened his eyes again, after being reborn. His face twisted as he searched...

"What?"

He found nothing. Suddenly, he rushed forward and grabbed something that was dispersing. He recognized it and murmured, completely astonished.

"Spatial fluctuations? A formation?"

In the middle of spatial currents...

The whale’s group was in the midst of a completely turbulent spatial channel. Spatial blades and distortions surrounded and clashed against them. Corin and the whale moved to protect the weaker members of the group from the worst, but everyone was being injured and cut.

Ruri and Calirer were the saviors; they activated the storage seals on their clothes. Then the laws of the earth protected them and the weaker ones. Even so, those laws couldn’t protect them completely; they just avoided fatal injuries. It took ten seconds until their world was covered by light.

Everyone was wounded and exhausted, so they looked around and found themselves in the center of a huge hall.

Crack!

Huge gates at the back opened wildly. In them, they saw a blue female figure enter. She stopped, and her entire existence radiated surprise and then malice.

[Congratulations, Side Quest completed!]

[Do you wish to accept all rewards?]

[Yes / No]

Alm and Bruno smiled sarcastically; life is ironic. They had escaped. But now, they were almost out of energy, in the heart of the entire Shadow God branch, completely surrounded by enemies and alone.
