Dem Zarn, up high, was watching in complete shock at the image of the android. Thea stood there, her entire body covered in steam with her metallic parts glowing red with flames. The blast had severely overloaded her; she hadn’t built her body for this level of power.

In that instant, a robotic figure resembling an iron golem, standing two meters tall, appeared beside her. It nodded, and numerous metal plates emerged from its body, attaching themselves to her. The sound of metal connecting echoed.

After three seconds, she moved; her body was relatively functional again. Thea now resembled a medieval knight in full armor, with only her face showing.

Zaimo’s armor had lost two-thirds of its pieces. Its size was practically the same as before. It no longer had its great defensive capability but could fight in support. It shaped all its power to be Thea’s sidekick, not just her shield but also able to provide her with a second body to use.

The dust haze settled completely. The human and the demoness appeared in Thea’s view, who was surprised to see them fully recovered. But she only snorted and quickly focused, moving her arms forward. Her rifle-shaped arms were still functional.

A white light emerged from the barrels, accumulating power. The air seemed to freeze, and the whole environment felt heavy with this motion.

Dem Zarn and the two women widened their eyes. That last strike clearly took a toll on the android. Now she had only briefly recovered, but everyone felt the next shot would be equally undefendable.

Bruno sighed and understood perfectly. She combined the power of the Yang tattoo with the corruption of the Golem God Dao; Yang was a law of wild and explosive life, perfect for such uses.

After the first shot, Thea better understood how to use this power. The previous shot was exaggerated; with only a third, she could have killed them both. Now, she adjusted the Yang’s power not to suffer too much and could still easily bring them down.

’This changes nothing; an Empyrean Conqueror possesses pseudo-immortality and does not die in the usual way. Obviously, there must be a method to kill them, but this caught us completely off guard. If we had everyone go through the tribulation as planned, everyone would be doomed because we wouldn’t be able to kill them within the tribulation. After it ended, all our allies would be very injured, and they completely fine,’ Alm spoke dryly.

Bruno sighed. ’Ruri using her power or using the golems to attack won’t solve it either; they’ll just come back to life. Indeed, we were doomed to lose this fight; we were saved by the system. Now... how the hell are we going to escape is the problem.’

’If we don’t know how to escape, then let’s dig a path to try to kill them or buy time until we figure it out,’ Alm spat coldly and sent a message through the array.

The fights of the other groups were still at a standstill, but after those events, all groups briefly stopped to observe the rebirth and power of that fight.

"Hahaha, now do you understand how insignificant you are? With this little power, did you think you had any chance? Hahaha," the dark elf spoke, laughing ridiculously while staring at Corin.

’Hmm?’

Alm and Bruno immediately heard those mocking words and felt something was amiss. This dark elf had fluctuations very different from the other women; the five seemed shocked at how strong the groups were, but they were still calm. But this dark elf... the initial reaction of someone who always felt superior, after fear was sown, was to belittle and intimidate others in an attempt to reaffirm themselves; it was a common defense method among Young Masters.

’What does she fear?’ Alm pondered seriously.

Bruno recalled, ’She was fighting Corin, and her manifestation... she only used it once and didn’t dare to use it again because she knew Kaiyka would attack in the opening, and both would trade life for life... wait... if she can’t die, why didn’t she just attack again?’

The two realized in surprise, the answer was simple: Kaiyka could indeed kill her. With her current power, it wasn’t possible. But she was very close to reaching the peak of Mortal level in the Sword God’s Dao. That black elf felt it instinctively, but she didn’t know that Kaiyka still couldn’t use this new power.

Within two seconds, Thea was almost ready to fire. It was at that moment that the message from the whale echoed in everyone’s minds.

’Gather. Kaiyka, you’re the only one who can kill them with the void sword. Thea will create the opportunity, and the others will protect both of you. Everyone’s lives depend on this.’

In Kaiyka’s eyes, a fluctuation disturbed her mind immersed in the Sword’s Dao. But... she gripped the hilt of her katana and took a deep breath, reflecting.

’To master the sword of mind and heart, to conquer the void.’ That was the mission of the Heaven’s Will, to be able to bring Venjio to her side. It must have been hundreds of years in that universe where he is now. (Chapter 521)

Before, he was still young and didn’t have enough for the whale to bring him with them. He needed time, and she trusted he wouldn’t disappoint her. If she brought him now with her own strength, the whale might reconsider and accept him. But... she had to reach the void, something she couldn’t even scratch in her other life.

’I reached this void once in the past. It was before I could break through to the immortal realms.’ In the midst of her thoughts, the whale’s voice sounded, awakening her. ’I was alone after exterminating all forms of life. After a few centuries, the torment of my memories and life consumed me; I just lived reminiscing about the past.’ (Chapter 1)

Kaiyka was surprised. Memories? That didn’t seem connected to the void.

’I know what you’re thinking. You want to empty your mind and seal all your feelings and thoughts. You think that’s the void,’ Bruno spoke softly to her. ’You have feelings, experiences, desires... it’s impossible to rid yourself of everything. The void isn’t stripping away who you are. It’s simply accepting everything that flows within you and letting them pass. It’s like watching the waves of the sea; they’re just passing waves, you can’t stop them, and you must let them flow without conflict. Thus, they will soon disappear. When everything becomes fleeting, that’s when everything becomes nothing, or the void.’

Bruno spoke something he heard on Earth; he didn’t really understand it at the time he heard it, but after experiencing this state, everything became clear. On Earth, some people think that meditating is about not thinking at all, and after trying, they discover exactly what Kaiyka is going through; it’s impossible. Meditating and touching the void is simply delving deeply within oneself, seeing and feeling everything inside and letting them pass without clinging to anything. All fears, anxieties, and desires must be felt; it was painful, but only then can one grow.

BANG! BANG!

Thea fired, sending two beams of white light tearing through space towards the two enemies.

They snorted; they would kill them again, so what? This power couldn’t be used indefinitely, while every time they reincarnated, they were completely restored with all their energies. Victory was just a matter of time.

But... in the microseconds before their bodies and souls were destroyed, they felt the presence of death looming over their heads.

They only had time to turn their eyes to a place above. Then they saw two pairs of eyes pulsing in a light blue as if devouring their souls.

BOOM!

Dem Zarn saw them both explode, but quickly turned his eyes to the fighting groups around. They all suddenly roared, pouring out everything they had; then a wave of astral winds spread.

Ruri and her group moved with the disappearing spatial laws. Meanwhile, Corin roared, and the laws of wind and lightning merged around him and Calirer; they moved equally fast. All of them appeared beside Thea.

’Why the hell did they...’ Dem Zarn thought, but stopped midway, feeling the heavens and earth tremble. His heart began to race frantically, and his gaze turned upwards, where a human female figure stood.

Kaiyka had her katana back in its sheath and gripped its hilt. Suddenly, she took a step forward. Her blade unsheathed, and even without seeing it, Dem Zarn felt as if the world had been suddenly cleaved in two.

A line in space appeared. A flash of light descended.

The katana came without warning. Everyone just felt that she had struck, yet they didn’t see; there was no fluctuation, and it hit like a lightning bolt at something that seemed not to exist. At the same time, Kaiyka was back in her previous position, her katana slowly returning to its sheath. It was like the roar of the heavens or the cry of a primordial beast.

’The power of her strike and its return came practically simultaneously. Did her blow break the constraints of time? Otherwise, how could such a thing happen?!’ Dem Zarn thought in shock when...

CRACK!

Suddenly, he turned his gaze to the ground. There, Dem Zarn saw the two Empyrean runes of his women. The runes were already formed and they would reconstruct themselves... then, the runes exploded completely.

No fluctuation remained. Dem Zarn was completely stunned; they had died completely, he had no doubts. This attack had been absolutely bizarre. If that human had wanted to kill him, how would he resist?

A cold sweat ran down his back. If she had used this on him before he knew, there was no way he could react and would simply die. It was a speed and killing power so terrible that it allowed no reaction. He could only await his own death.

Kaiyka was enveloped in spatial runes and appeared beside Ruri. Alm and Bruno, from afar, breathed deeply, equally shocked. They had found a way to kill them. Kaiyka had managed to reach the void, but it had worn her down and injured her internally. She might use it once more, maybe twice if lucky.

Killing the other women was possible. But they felt that now that Dem Zarn had seen this, he wouldn’t be hit in any way. There were many defensive methods and life-saving treasures; information was everything in battle, preparing everything could be avoided.

All three groups were gathered around Thea. Then space vibrated.

While the remaining four women were in complete shock and disbelief, Thea showed no mercy and prepared her shots again. Her shots were undefendable to them, and after they fell, Kaiyka could kill them for real.

The four felt death over their heads and turned to Dem Zarn in despair. In that second, they saw a malevolent smile spread across that demonic face.

"Excellent, hahahaha!" Dem Zarn exclaimed excitedly. "This metallic thing will be great for studies. As for the others, they’re all excellent. I will take them with me."

After saying this, a golden rune appeared on his forehead. Then the world faded, swallowed in total darkness.

He was the only thing that existed. Yin runes, completely different and unnatural, surged around him. It jumped into a nefarious power, and in that moment, Alm and Bruno widened their eyes. That was a manifestation, but... this power was very familiar to them.

’That’s Yin of death being burned in exchange for pure power,’ Alm muttered dazedly.

Bruno, who couldn’t sense, jumped upon hearing the confirmation. ’Life Essence Devour... he... he’s an Ancestral Devil?!’
