Kaiyka was extremely tired after using all her power to the maximum and withdrew. The whale and Ruri were left alone inside the cave.

They sat down and took Ruri off their back, placing her in their lap. She was awake, but her breathing was irregular, and her entire existence felt weak. Ruri had used the Eternal Bond with all her might, sparing nothing. Her mind, soul, and life force were severely damaged.

They exchanged deep glances, then saw a glimmer of excitement she tried to conceal with all her might. After a sigh, they asked seriously, "Why didn’t you use your Dao as we told you?"

Ruri struggled to speak. "There was risk... he has much higher cultivation."

The whale sighed and looked into her eyes. They knew that, but they chose to take the risk. They didn’t want to see her in this pitiful state after using that technique they had developed together. Yet she had done as she pleased, and they couldn’t argue against it, as using that technique was the safest and surest choice.

Still, Ruri would have obeyed their wishes in any other situation. The whale sighed again, this time in acceptance; they understood the obvious reason behind her decision. Ruri seemed to brighten with excitement, leaning forward and embracing them affectionately.

The whale simply nodded, and the laws of the land across the entire mountain changed, sealing the outside from within completely. Then Ruri began her full recovery process, amid many explosive and intense feelings. Once she felt renewed, she wasn’t satisfied and pushed further; they had to enhance the effectiveness and ’studies’ on this technique. After all, the Everlasting Link was developed with that purpose in mind. (Chapter 520)

An hour passed, and far away, Rehvka and Calirer moved completely hidden from the world.

They left the sect without being easily seen or sensed, now moving towards a very specific point to the north, in the great black forest.

Another hour passed until, in a secluded spot in the middle of the forest near a river, a male figure from the Feral Fey clan awaited something from the top of a tree. He appeared to be asleep, but suddenly a dense demonic power surged and struck him, causing him to startle awake.

As he stood bewildered, he saw two pairs of deep red eyes staring at him, and he swallowed hard. It was a demoness with ample curves and her skin quite exposed; a radiant scarlet aura enveloped her, making her bluish skin stand out. Her grayish horn, with just one glance, could make the soul of that Fey tremble. She was stunningly beautiful and terrifyingly demonic at the same time.

"Gather everyone from your clan immediately," her cold voice, full of icy intentions, echoed. "The plans have failed, and I have secret orders from above that must be executed immediately. I will summon the other side, gather in one hour at the black zone."

As soon as she finished speaking, a wave of demonic power flowed around her, instilling a terrible fear in the Fey. Then, the Demoness simply disappeared before his eyes, leaving him in shock. After a few seconds, he jumped up frantically and ran.

Calirer and Rehvka headed to the secret communication point of the Barbarian Fey clan. From the memories they accessed, they confirmed that the elder was suddenly chosen by the branch leader. She argued angrily with her High Elder advisors about the timing of sending him, though those advisors feared the whale might be plotting something. Nonetheless, she decided on her own that this was the ideal day and sent him hastily.

The elder arrived on this planet and stealthily infiltrated just minutes before the attack. Neither clan saw him; they only knew that an elder would come with his cultivation sealed at some point. Hence, they had no idea when or who exactly he was, only that he was a Soul Eater demon, evidently.

In recruiting, the sect gathered information that Calirer was half-human, half-demon, and they knew she had Soul Eater blood. But it was subtle, and besides her horn, she had no other characteristics of that race. Her half-human aura was easily sensed by anyone.

Their changes were drastic and very rapid; it was impossible for the clans to know about them. To ensure secrecy, throughout this time, it was the youths from their group who fought against the enemy disciples. At night, Calirer engaged in battle, ensuring all invading demons were eliminated to prevent leaks of information. Communicating her presence openly wouldn’t make sense; she didn’t stand out so much in battle, and demons of the same race still recognized her as a hybrid.

Everything culminated in that night being a unique opportunity that wouldn’t repeat so easily. Using the elder’s tablet and memories, Calirer could easily pass as a member of the Shadow God branch.

With Rehvka’s concealment power, coupled with her soul cultivation, she could create a mystical and terrifying impression on all Feys. She also carried the elder’s tablet and clearly had knowledge of clan secrets. Even though her cultivation was below divine realms, everyone knew the elder had his cultivation sealed, and she demonstrated abnormal and terrifying power convincing enough, at least initially.

Thirty minutes passed.

Calirer appeared in front of a small Fey hidden in the dark forest. Her actions and words were identical, except that they were supposed to meet in thirty minutes.

The small Barbarian Fey immediately ran after she disappeared. Then the two moved to the designated location, called the Black Zone.

It was a location not far from the sect, to the north, situated exactly between the regions dominated by the two clans. All cultivators from those clans were powerful, and if given five minutes, they would still arrive on time. However, time was given for the message to reach clan members inside the sect, allowing everyone to move quickly to the location.

Demons were particularly extreme about hierarchy and higher orders, and Feys moved without hesitation to avoid trouble with the Shadow God branch; they didn’t dare question anything.

The "Elder" said both clans would be involved and mentioned a secret plan. Thus, all members remotely linked to them gathered in a dark region between four mountains. The place was deep and seemed like a hidden abyss, perfect for dark and discreet meetings.

Feys were silently waiting while looking at each other. Unbeknownst to them, Calirer and Rehvka observed everyone from above. By the arrangement and separation of the groups, they spotted two prominent figures and were certain: they were the leaders of the Feral Fey and Barbarian Fey clans.

All major clans, even some smaller ones, were involved in the scheme against the whale. However, it always seemed that the two largest clans were the true leaders, maintaining direct contact with the demons.

The power disparity between these two major Fey clans and the others was staggering, like comparing the sky to the earth; there was no way to match them. Therefore, the other clans were seen as vassals with little influence, accepting their role as being used. They were not innocent and should have known what was happening, but they had no direct contact with the demons, simply being so insignificant that it made no difference.

One minute past the appointed time, all Feys synchronized, turning their startled gazes upward. They felt something that made their eyes widen.

The demoness suddenly appeared high above as if she had emerged from emptiness. She was extremely close to them, without anyone sensing her approach. How long had she been there? If she intended a surprise attack, it would be extremely difficult to avoid. Everyone took a deep breath, reflecting.

In the next moment, the most powerful ones focused their senses seriously. Suddenly, the demoness snorted, and her eyes pulsed in intense red. The dark shadows around were replaced by a scarlet glow; everyone stared, even the moon in the sky seemed to change, as if bathed in blood.

All these phenomena radiated the presence of her intense and abnormal soul. Everyone took a deep and quick breath, and they were sure her apparent cultivation was just a perfect disguise.

Her soul power and techniques clearly belonged to a high-level demon cultivator with divine cultivation. She was an elder from a branch of the colossal Shadow God sect, something so grand they couldn’t imagine the level of her techniques. This demonic woman had definitely instilled instinctive fear in them.

"I ain’t got time to waste on useless folk," the demoness said, looking at everyone as though they were insects. "After your failures, leadership has planned something for you to redeem yourselves..."

She recounted a story Bruno had created, word for word. She mentioned a demonic technique capable of possessing the body of a red disciple and infusing it with terrifying explosive power. For this, they would need to sacrifice a disciple and also a cultivator at the level of an elder. It was a simple plan: the disciple could move through the forest without raising suspicions and then strike, causing an unprecedented explosion.

"It doesn’t need to be someone big, just at the end of the Heavenly Saint Realm is enough. As for the disciples, any red one will do. It’ll be a one-time explosion with no traces left behind. Only you can provide these sacrifices."

She spoke dryly and emotionlessly, as if she were discussing something simple and obvious. Everyone listened attentively, somewhat shocked. Sacrificing disciples and low-level elder cultivators? They wouldn’t sacrifice members of their own clans, and such individuals only existed from other clans within the sect.

Doing so was treason punishable by death and many other retaliations. No member from either clan could accept or deny; it was a grave decision that could bring irreparable consequences to the clans. However, their two leaders were present.

The leader of the Feral Fey thought for a few seconds before speaking, "No problem."

"I’ll mobilize the pieces, and everyone will work quickly. In two or three days, we should capture a dozen of them," added the leader of the Barbarian Fey after a brief sigh.

"Great, you have twenty-four hours. Not a minute more," the demoness said curtly, then nodded.

Two Jade Slips floated towards the two leaders. They glanced quickly at the contents, their eyes trembling. It was indeed a sinister demonic method that they could barely comprehend with a quick glance, perhaps not even after reflecting on it for a long time.

"This is just the introduction. You only need to merge the first type of Yin rune with their blood. We’ll handle the rest," the demoness said, and all the leaders nodded without any doubt about the malevolent potential of this technique.

The demoness looked at all the Feys from both clans, and they clenched their fists, conveying confidence that they would execute everything flawlessly for her. With a sarcastic and malicious snort, she turned away... and disappeared under a dark cloak before everyone’s eyes. It wasn’t new to them now, but it still left them shocked.

"What a chilling concealment technique..." the leader of the Barbarian Fey let slip, then turned to her members. "Let’s move fast, we don’t have enough time and we need to act."

All the Feys nodded and dispersed in every direction. They were ready to fulfill the demand as perfectly as possible.

Meanwhile, Calirer and Rehvka hurried away as fast as they could. Their hearts were racing frantically.

When they were at a safe distance, Calirer, her body sweaty with nerves, turned to the pale woman beside her. Rehvka, equally nervous, looked at her, and a mischievous smile quickly spread across her face.

She pulled out a small crystal and showed it lightly. "You were perfect. As for me, I recorded everything, hehehe..."
