"YOU BASTARD!!!" Ambry roared, wielding her axe as the runic seal of repulsion lit up. The Fey from her clan witnessed space explode in front of them, and mortal danger struck.

BOOM!!!

A wave of destruction reverberated, and a dust cloud enveloped everything. At the same time, Kisala tightened her bow towards where her people were gathered. Her eyes reflected only a fierce desire for vengeance. Both held back as much as they could, but they couldn’t bear the fact that their own clan had harmed a friend they had come to value so much.

"Die," she said tersely, and a rain of arrows was unleashed. Everything ahead of them was obscured by the earth mist, but they could feel every movement perfectly. Instantly, cries of agony echoed. But...

"Enough."

When the dust settled, the whale appeared before them. All Barbarian Fey were unconscious and severely wounded, but earthly runes had shielded them from the worst. As for those poisoned, the whale deflected the arrows at the last moment, merely scratching them.

He waved his hand and drew a young Barbarian Fey towards him. He quickly invaded his memories without hesitation. Idris was distant and completely stunned; Ruri appeared by his side, comforting him.

After a minute, the whale opened his eyes, sighed, and spoke. "Your two clans, always in conflict and wanting to destroy each other... It seems they set aside their differences and united to suppress the Blood Tears Fey clan."

Both trembled, and their eyes became lifeless. They had lived until recently loving their clans, admiring their race and their superiors, but with just a little encouragement... no, they came to the same conclusion: they had always been like this and did things of this nature without their knowledge. They were merely useful puppets, molded to serve them.

"But because both clans were together, they couldn’t capture and take the people to their sects; they just joined them where they lived. If they had taken them, it would have been impossible to save them." The whale said softly, and in that second, both Kisala and Idris looked at him full of hope.

The cultivation level of the top echelon of both clans was the highest in the divine realms. Obviously, they had no strength to do anything against them currently. However, from the information this young Fey had, they easily understood the scheming.

Both clans received direct orders to surround all members of that small clan. The task was simple and cruel: kill and torture slowly, ensuring that each death was a horrendous example of brutality.

Idris’s mother, a victim of this relentless strategy, was left tied and sealed in her own suffering, visible to all. No one would have a quick death; they chose the most painful and inhumane path possible. Every second would be an eternity of torment, executing everything calmly and recording every detail. Idris’s mother would be the main focus of this macabre feast.

They used the public excuse of the blood technique used by this clan, an already infamous and widely known practice. It was an unquestionably cruel method by which practitioners strengthened themselves by absorbing the blood and life of others, using sly strikes with the potential to kill suddenly. While this small clan was seen as insignificant, it was conveniently ignored.

However, according to Idris’s memories, he was innocent and hadn’t realized, but Alm and Bruno had no doubts. This clan were shadow assassins, used to perform dirty tasks on behalf of larger clans. Now, with the promise of significant benefits from the Shadow God sect branch, they not only had justification but also concrete evidence to label the clan as evil.

The situation was a blatant manipulation of power and influence. The rules were twisted to serve the interests of the powerful, while the less favored faced merciless condemnation.

"Their goal is to do exactly what you’ve allowed: to lose your heads," the whale spoke softly. "They certainly intend to record everything and send us the images bit by bit through their disciples. Idris’s clan and everyone else will die in the worst possible way at the hands of your two clans. They’ve realized they can’t wear us down physically, so they’ll hit us mentally, creating hate and conflict between you and the whole group."

"That..." Kisala and Ambry murmured, tears of hatred streaming down their faces.

"Stop crying," the whale cut in coldly. "Your clans have only two paths: be destroyed or change completely from the inside out. If you think it’s wrong and you love them, don’t be compassionate and stand firm. Then strengthen yourselves to change this in the future."

Both looked up, fists clenched. He nodded and turned to the distant Idris. "It all happened a few hours ago, the worst hasn’t really happened yet. They don’t believe we’re crazy enough to leave the sect’s protection area and try something futile. Only common elders are in that small clan. It’ll be risky, but it’s possible..."

Idris tightened his fists, and the two took deep breaths. If their clans really went through with it, they couldn’t bear to remain members. The whale would risk everything to save them and prevent the lifelong hatred towards their clans by them and Idris.

"Sir," Kisala said, looking earnestly at the whale. "Don’t worry about us. This was all caused by their greed. If it’s to save Idris’s clan, we’ll help, even if we have to kill them all."

The whale looked at them seriously. Indeed, those who agreed to kill and torture just because they were ordered to didn’t deserve to live. But... Alm and Bruno wouldn’t allow these two children to kill their own people.

They thought quickly. There was only one possible way. There were many variables that could go wrong, and with them, things could easily unfold strangely. But they weren’t alone, and they had equally unpredictable weapons to use.

"Ruri, prepare a high-level spatial formation. My three disciples will have to work together. Their lives depend on you," the whale said seriously, summoning everyone.
