As soon as everyone from the city returned, they were immediately prepared to go to the secret continent. At first, it would be challenging to learn to fight without using their cultivation or Qi directly. The whale ordered everyone to split into small groups, and the Onis would guide them. This way, the unity of the Onis with the city would increase considerably.

In a few days, the whale placed everyone inside the chaos gem and handed it to Almin, Rehvka, and Thea; thus sent them back to the secret continent to work. They chose to stay in the city because they had many important tasks to accomplish currently.

First, they went to the forge and finally began forging the long-awaited Yin saber that Alm could use.

In the secret continent, the Lynxes found some extremely high-level Yin metals. At the current level of the Forge God Dao, they had no knowledge of them. But Alm was sure they were rare metals even in the divine world.

Using chaotic refinement, they melted all the metals. Then, they used the strange chains that the twelve families used to seal the people of the city. These chains had the eerie ability to seal part of the physique just upon contact; it was an excellent addition. All the materials were melded together, creating a three-meter-long metal that pulsed like a demonic heart.

They took out the demonic metal they had for a long time and used the new demonic rune in conjunction with it. Both combined, and the power multiplied several times. The demonic metal was something made by mortals, and the demonic rune was 50% complete; its potential was hindered, but for their current level, it was enough.

In the end, a complex process of smelting using chaotic refinement took place. Alm and Bruno focused entirely, and after a whole day... there was a failure.

Fortunately, with their method, they wouldn’t lose everything. Due to the lack of knowledge of the material, about 20% of the material was lost in this failure; later, they would lose practically nothing. This time, they learned from their mistakes and restarted the fusion from scratch. It took two days... but there was another failure.

At that moment, they understood the reason for the errors. ’I can’t manipulate the Yin of the materials directly. Only you can,’ Bruno commented coldly. ’Since I can only assist, we’re using only half of our potential.’

In the past, Fides was made only with common refinement. Recently, in Rehvka’s weapon, the base material was unique, and they had to meld a few things. The only terrifying thing they had tried to create was Liumi’s Spear, but it used Yin and Yang materials, and both worked together equally. Now, they saw the difficulty of making something of extreme level, and with only one of them, the difficulty was much higher.

’Let’s use what she taught us. It’s kind of nauseating being so close, but maybe we’ll have an idea for the next level,’ Alm said emotionlessly.

The tattoos lit up, and both used the harmony of Yin and Yang. Thus, they tried again after two failures.

The fifth level of the tattoos had a mystical name: Wuji, the primordial state. If the fourth level required an almost impossible harmony that released the limitations imposed by opposite poles, Wuji was something at least fantastical. Its focus was to transcend the limitations of duality.

Doing this was the same as taking a step above the celestial laws themselves. Alm and Bruno only imagined having something at this level in the immortal realms. But... who knows, maybe they could achieve a bit of it beforehand.

A day passed, and both used the new power of the tattoos to the fullest to forge the metal. Until...

’Success,’ Alm said a bit dazed.

The result was a completely black metal. There was no shine, energy pulse, or fluctuations. Just looking at it, it seemed like a simple and common dark metal. But upon touching it... the entire body of the whale felt a shiver down its spine.

’It can absorb a bit of life energy and neutralize part of the Yang in our bodies... all with just a gentle touch. Seems sinister enough,’ Bruno analyzed lightly.

So, they began shaping a heavy saber. When the base was ready, the blade emanated resentment and a smell of blood that could be felt throughout the city. With the new power of the tattoos, they purified all the resentment, and the blade became even colder and darker.

The properties of the metal diminished, but the base of its power remained. To reactivate this ability, an enchantment runic seal was carved. Pure Yin was incorporated into the saber, replacing the resentment of the refined souls. When everything was almost ready, a level saint immortal core was placed; then they finally used that soul they obtained in that divine demon sect. (Chapter 402)

Thus they raised the black saber. It was very heavy, but it didn’t even reach a fifth of the weight of Fides. This weapon seemed something empty and hidden, without any fluctuations, which made it even more threatening. The blade was not straight. Instead, it had the shape of a crescent moon.

Its blade was pitch black, but it emitted an instinctive sense of danger. It was like the fang of a bloodthirsty demon, exuding a sense of terror. Just looking at it would make a person feel like their soul was being sucked. It was certainly an extremely dangerous and evil weapon.

’Its name will be Vorion,’ Alm said dryly.

’Hmm... ’vor’ is derived from Latin and means devour or consume. The addition of ’-ion’ gives it a distinctive touch and a more mystical sound. A good name,’ Bruno analyzed, and Alm just ignored him as he examined his weapon.

Using a sword was different from using a saber. A saber relied on brute force, not technique. It was based on using the arm to unleash the power of the whole body.

But a sword was much more refined. It relied on subtle changes and variations. Strength in the wrist, technique, and talent were required to control these subtle changes, so it had great requirements in that regard.

A sword had infinite types for different types of fights; there were heavy swords, short swords, flying swords, etc. The saber, on the other hand, was a weapon made purely for killing and destroying, where its capacity and attack power were what mattered.

’Thank you for the name, Sir. I won’t disappoint you,’ spoke the intelligent soul of the saber, now named Vorion.

Once everything was done, Alm and Bruno awaited news from Ruri and Kaiyka. Meanwhile, they focused on another task: they studied a little of those few chaos laws they received from Gaia as a reward.

Alm and Bruno felt that it could become something very important, not only because of the chaos seed in their inventory but also because they clearly saw the deep connection of these laws with the chaos gem created by the immortal Oni.

A month passed, and they had no breakthroughs, but it was clear that they would arrive at something eventually, given the opportunity. With free time on his hands, Bruno focused on the knowledge he received from Vuard about turning someone into an Empyrean.

In fifteen days, Bruno had a bold idea. Then, he focused on something, using the power of faith as a link.

In a place far from there, on the planet of the harpies they had recently visited, their missionary was already in action, following their orders.

A harpy with an extreme force of will had been chosen for the job—her name was Rivine. She was overseeing the construction of an over-the-top statue, which was literally being carved out of a mountain. A massive, round figure—turning a mountain into its image was perfect! She smiled excitedly, but there was a mischievous aura flowing around her… something that would make Alm approve even more.

Suddenly, she stopped feeling something, and her eyes lit up. Without hesitating a second, she flapped her wings and flew away.

In no time, she arrived at the feet of a small black object about a meter tall, which looked like a sharp thorn. She knelt down and touched the Obsidian with her white wings. Silent minutes passed... until she opened her eyes.

Immediately, a commotion in the celestial laws arose. On the harpy’s forehead, a pulsating golden rune appeared. Then, various pieces of information about it appeared in her mind.

Back on the planet Pristine, Bruno smiled excitedly. ’Success, we can create an Empyrean remotely now. The method of the families to manipulate Qi and laws combined with the power of faith was enough.’

Both were excited about this new possibility. After the two missionaries on the planets were appointed and began working, their faith power was growing explosively every day. Bruno could already feel the distant connection with the planet Vegeta. His faith there had existed for quite some time, and now that they could easily create missionaries, in the near future, they could create armies of Empyreans remotely on their three planets.

In the second month, there was finally news from the women. Ruri returned and seriously reported what they had managed to discover.

"The former leader of the family, Kaiyka’s grandfather. He was killed along with his wife on a divine planet. But the place was completely wiped from records and also from the memories of the few who are still alive today from that time."

Alm and Bruno reflected on the information. If Kaiyka’s grandfather didn’t leave the name of the place where the inheritance was, it was probably a dangerous and deadly place. A divine planet meticulously excluded from records; there was a chance that the inheritance was there.

Perhaps yes, perhaps no. It was impossible to know normally. But they had something that could reveal the truth: The system.

"Search all the family’s connections with divine sects. Look through the old records from Kaiyka’s grandfather’s time, find the prominent cultivators who went to a divine sect at the time. There will be many places; narrow it down to those where in the last few centuries very few or almost no members managed to enter, and bring me the list," the whale spoke softly.

Ruri felt the seriousness of the situation and quickly bid farewell to fulfill his orders. When the third month passed, the two women returned together to the city. A Jade Slip was delivered to the whale, and in it was a list with a hundred names.

Alm and Bruno mentally read the names one by one. Some silent minutes passed, until when they reached a specific one...

[Optional Mission Available]

[Recover the inheritance and revive the missionary]

[Reward: +50 Upgrade Points]

[Accept?] [Yes / No]

’Hmm... it’s not a golden one. But the amount of Upgrade Points is quite acceptable,’ Bruno said lightly.

Alm, controlling the whale, turned to Kaiyka and spoke confidently, "Wild Roar Sect, divine planet Deep Forest. Your grandfather’s inheritance is there."

She was speechless. How did he know that?

"We can’t go directly there; we have to do everything covertly," Alm said, cutting off her thoughts. "The Moonlight family receives many more jobs to go to the divine world than the others, all because of their mental technique. Eventually, some nearby solar system to the place will make a request."

Kaiyka looked at the whale with serious eyes. Did he really want to invade a divine planet with a divine sect of powerful beasts guarding it? How crazy could he be?

"It doesn’t have to be so close, just close enough for us to go alone to the Deep Forest planet without taking years. Keep an eye out; it should be something opening up for the three of us to go together," Alm concluded emotionlessly.

Meanwhile, Ruri looked at the woman, a bit disturbed and smiled lightly. Kaiyka would learn to just trust them and never doubt. With each passing day, she grew more curious about everything, and Ruri had practically become her mentor; the master-disciple relationship that only existed for outsiders had been completely reversed.

The two of them left immediately. They did not inform that they were going to the city and could not stay for long.

Three silent months passed. When Alm and Bruno were almost going to the central continent to bring the people back, that was when Ruri and Kaiyka returned with the good news. A perfect job had been requested.
