A terrifying silence permeated the stands. The whale, at the center of it all, remained indifferent as ever, with his hands behind his back. From start to finish, he only moved slightly to disperse the attack, otherwise poor Setai would have been finished.

In the private room, Ruri simply smiled at the scene, then had a mischievous idea. By her side, Kaiyka’s eyes widened. It wasn’t just her; all the elders and important people of the Moonlight family were equally in shock. They saw as clearly as daylight: that was the central technique of the family.

"How... how did he use that..."

Murmured the family leader, stunned. None of them suspected that Ruri could leak it after studying the technique. Members were required to sign a soul contract to learn it; it was impossible to hand it over to others; even a seal in their memories covered all possibilities.

In the stands, Corin received a message from Ruri, and his eyes sparkled. In the next instant, he spoke casually, "I thought this family’s mental power was stronger. Apparently, the techniques are on the same level as the one master created on our planet."

The response came quickly, and everyone from the Moonlight family glared furiously at him.

"You! How dare you! You’re in our house, do you think you can say whatever you want!" An elder roared furiously, looking at Corin.

"Hm? Did I say something untrue? Master taught that to all of us," he said, waving his hand. Immediately, everyone jumped in shock. In Corin’s hands, a violet energy subtly emerged.

"How was it again... oh, yes!" He made a movement and the power expanded and formed an arrow. "It’s no big deal."

Immediately, everyone from the Moonlight family closed their eyes. How was this possible? They didn’t feel any mental power in Corin or the whale before. Now he used a similar version of what the whale used... and it was almost identical to the family’s central technique!

Meanwhile, Ruri put her hand over her mouth, struggling not to burst out laughing. Then she felt her mind darken slightly. She hardly had any mental power and gave some to her master, now merged with the IQ equal to the technique and sent for Corin to use.

"The weapons." It was the whale who spoke, waving his hand and interrupting everyone’s thoughts.

The elder was a bit taken aback, but a message reached his mind, and he promptly reacted. With a gesture, Setai was thrown away as he removed a spatial ring from him; then, he sent it to the whale.

Upon receiving it, they checked excitedly internally. The core level of the three weapons was 100%, and their weaving was much higher compared to the two weapons they possessed. Then, they looked at the elder and commented calmly, "I studied something similar on my planet, but it seems my opponent underestimated me, and I had a bit of luck."

The leader of the Moonlight family, as well as all its present members, heard and realized the whale’s clear, nonsensical excuse. However, no one dared to contest. The fact that Corin could use this power was irrefutable evidence. If they tried to confront him, the risk of facing intervention from other families was high; thus, they would lose the opportunity.

"Yes, yes, he was immature and underestimated. In a duel between two mental cultivators, cultivation doesn’t matter as much. He attacked carelessly and ended up losing," the elder said with a forced smile. "Well, Mr. Denil barely warmed up. Since you also know how to use mental power, our family can show you a new horizon."

"Indeed. These techniques are mere skills that I learned and developed casually. Ruri is the one who really likes this kind of thing, but I’ll be happy to learn a little more," he replied softly while everyone in the arena remained silent. Was that power something trivial? The weaker ones smiled sourly at hearing it.

The elder nodded and turned around, introducing another figure. "This is a common member who was defeated in the first round of the competition. It seems he wishes to challenge you."

A young man of simple appearance quickly emerged, then he roared. "Yes! Me and the whole group from Young Master Girar, we got beaten up by your woman! She humiliated us, saying we weren’t even dust under her feet!"

"Hmm... I see, but Ruri sets a high standard and must have done a lot of that. I don’t have all day; let’s resolve all the complaints at once, bring everyone from this Girar group together." The whale spoke slowly, without any emotion.

The elder, that young man, and everyone in the arena widened their eyes. Was he crazy? But a message in the elder’s mind made him react quickly.

"Yes! Other people also want to fight. Fortunately, they all failed in the first rounds of the competition and are watching here. Come!"

He turned to the stands, and his gaze roused a group of humans. They quickly leaped to the center of the venue. There were about twelve common cultivator youths from the family, all at the ninth level of the Body Destruction Realm.

The whale waved and spoke indifferently. "Great, but I won’t fight for less than before. I want ten immortal weapons from each of them."

They all narrowed their eyes, obviously they didn’t have that. But the elder spoke with a smile. "No problem, it’s really fair to value yourself; the family will cover everything."

So, he spoke, wanting to start the fight as soon as possible. "Since there are no rules for the type of fight and bet, this battle will be a group fight. The side that gives up first wins and takes it all!"

Everyone in the stands was stunned. Give up? Even if this round figure wanted to give up, with twelve mental cultivators attacking him, he wouldn’t have the opportunity to do so. Who would be crazy enough to accept this proposal?

But, contrary to expectations, the whale just waved, fully accepting it, indifferently.

"BEGIN!"

The twelve joined the previous young man, and the thirteen surrounded the whale from all directions. Their eyes were attentive to every move he made, and their looks denoted extreme focus; they received a mental message... from the family leader himself. They had to meet his expectations perfectly!

Immediately, the thirteen drew their weapons, and their cultivations were elevated to the maximum. Everyone in the stands took a deep breath, seeing something seemingly nonsensical before them. A mortal cultivator, more than a realm below, against twelve mental cultivators... how could this be considered a fair fight?

The whale smiled, and a gentle rune appeared on his forehead. Suddenly, a long spear materialized in his hand.

Everyone felt the presence of the spear, but they couldn’t identify its composition. They only knew it was an immortal weapon... although it seemed to be at the lowest possible level... and its core was fragile and heavily damaged. Was this whale planning to fight with this pathetic weapon?

"Attack soon, or you won’t have the chance. I don’t want to intimidate you." The whale spoke, holding the spear with one hand, its shaft touching the ground.

All thirteen concentratedly huffed. The air around the arena became charged with energy, and their mental power manifested around them. They were extremely superior to the previous idiot. In a matter of seconds, their weapons glowed with mental power merging into them. Then they all jumped, attacking the whale from all directions.

The tense scene enveloped everyone in the arena, but when the gazes turned to the whale... there he was, holding the spear casually with one hand, while with the other... he yawned.

Crack! Crack! Crack! Crack!

Suddenly, everyone in the arena took a step back in shock. They looked at the center of the battle and saw... the thirteen were standing still, their arms, legs, and joints were precisely pierced... their bodies were sealed, leaving them unable to move.

Wooden spears sprouted from the ground, as if they had emerged from thin air. Whether it was the young spectators, the high elders, or even the four family leaders, none of them felt any energy fluctuations. It simply appeared out of all senses, and when they realized, the thirteen were completely subdued.

"Well, I gave them a chance." The whale waved, and the spears trembled, expanding and piercing the bodies of the thirteen even more deeply.

They all roared in pain and despair. "I give up! Spare me!" One of them shouted, and the other twelve followed suit at the same time.

The whale just sighed and waved again. All the spears exploded into earth runes, and the thirteen fell to the ground, completely injured and unable to move.

The audience looked at the whale, who remained indifferent. Ever since he left the stands and landed on the ground, he had remained motionless in the center of the arena, not moving a single inch.

He won his fights in a single movement and in just a few seconds, making it seem like he hadn’t exerted any effort at all. Moreover, everyone felt that his Qi and energy hadn’t diminished one bit. Then, they remembered Setai’s words: Ruri said her man could defeat him with just a glance... it seemed a bit exaggerated... or maybe not?

The responsible elder landed in the center of the arena and waved, tossing all thirteen away and other elders catching them; he tried to hide his anger and shock at all costs, but his face contorted strangely. Soon, the annoying voice of the whale sounded.

"Where’s my prize?"

He turned to the whale, speaking while gesturing with his hands wanting something; the elder took a deep breath, narrowing his eyes. Was this round figure provoking him? He thought and calmed himself, then turned back, another elder quickly emerging and handing a ring to the whale.

"130 immortal weapons... seems like your bloodline favored you in this arena." The elder spoke dryly, and everyone in the stands heard confusedly.

"Luck is also part of my strength. Knowing how to seize the circumstances is something normal, and I’m within the rules." The whale replied with a sarcastic smile.

The elder returned the comment with a twisted smile. "Yes, you’re within the rules. It was their fault for underestimating you, for being someone from a mortal planet. Your primordial bloodline from that planet is quite terrifying. Who would’ve thought that building this arena with ores created with the laws of the earth from the divine world would give an advantage to a mortal cultivator."

Immediately, everyone in the stands remembered this fact. The entire arena was made with a yellowish ore, with high-level earth laws from the divine world. This gave the arena a divine appearance and monumental proportions, but... how could someone take advantage of it?

It didn’t take long for the answer to come to their minds. Everyone there was talented and well-informed; they knew their families’ mission on the Pristine Planet and what was hidden there. They also knew that the primordial bloodline of the Behemoth existed among mortals on the planet.

The earth laws focused on defense, something few cultivators made an effort to cultivate. Prioritizing techniques that provided offensive power was common; defense could be obtained through equipment or other methods. Having a powerful attack was always feared and admired by others; so most considered attack as the best defense and focused only on that.

The arena was built using crystals with these laws. Maybe someone talented in these laws could have some advantage, but no one really focused on it, not even the dwarves, who were usually the only ones with natural talent. And even if a talented cultivator emerged in this law, it would be a minimal advantage; they couldn’t easily master these laws from the divine world. But... the earth laws of the divine world were nothing when used by a bloodline of a primordial beast that dominates them.

It didn’t take long for everyone to understand. That whale was someone with the bloodline of the sealed beast. His abnormality was explained: he was lucky and used it to his advantage.

The elder addressed the whale. "You haven’t made any great effort yet. We have someone who wants to challenge you..."

"Come on, I feel like I’m almost warmed up. But... I want a reward worthy of it," the whale spoke calmly, and the elder nodded approvingly.

Without needing to say anything more, a figure leaped from the stands into the arena. Everyone took a deep breath... it was a handsome young man wearing flashy green clothing. From his aura and cultivation, everyone knew his status: a central member of the family.

In the private room of the stands, Kaiyka immediately turned to Ruri, and her face no longer displayed the usual coldness and lack of emotions. Ruri looked at her and smiled cheerfully at her reaction. "Don’t worry, just watch. Master is always amazing and cool."

Ruri spoke softly and turned her gaze to the arena, fixing her eyes on the whale as if she didn’t want to miss a second. Meanwhile, Kaiyka watched Ruri, fascinated by the way she was obsessed with that man. So, was this love?

In the arena, the young man challenged the whale defiantly. "I am Girar. My allies didn’t measure up, but you said you wanted to resolve all complaints. I want to see how you’re going to do that, or are you going to back out?"

The round figure didn’t respond and didn’t even spare a second glance at him. He just turned to the elder, awaiting his word. The elder nodded in understanding. "Before, you asked for ten weapons from each..."

"The previous total was 130. The challenge multiplied, so I want 500 of them," the whale quickly interjected.

Everyone in the arena looked at him incredulously. Why the heck did he want so many immortal weapons? Having a few different ones could be useful, but hundreds of them were completely nonsensical; they wouldn’t enhance his power.

"No problem, it’s only fair," agreed the elder and quickly announced, "The fight will be until surrender, but the power level of a central member is extreme. A blade has no eyes; unforeseen events can happen. Are you both sure of this?"

The whale nodded indifferently, and everyone in the arena understood the obvious message. Death would also be considered a victory for the other side.

The audience from the other families was confused; the earth’s defensive power being used to the maximum would give the whale the chance to declare surrender. So why... quickly, they understood. This central member... he was an Empyrean!

"BEGIN!" Roared the elder, leaving no room for anything else.

At that instant, a smile spread across Girar’s face and a golden rune pulsed on his forehead. Everyone in the arena knew what would come next... the whale wouldn’t stand a chance.

This mortal had been blessed with a powerful bloodline and manipulated the laws of the earth through the crystals to gain victory. It wasn’t about cultivation; those spears were a sneaky blow that could come from anywhere in the arena. At the level of those thirteen youths, it was almost impossible to defend against. But now... an Empyrean could dominate all the laws in the area and prevent the whale from using them.

Immediately Girar acted as expected. A domain covered the entire area of the arena floor, sealing the laws.

The leader of the Moonlight family watched everything with excitement. There may have been setbacks, but that arrogant young man was about to fall due to his own presumption. "He thought he was invincible? Hahaha," he let out, while the other three leaders around him snorted dryly.

Girar drew a golden-bladed sword and faced the whale. He expected to see a contorted face of fear, but found only indifference.

"You’re going to hold out until the end? Die!" Girar spat the words and lunged forward with all his might, his sword cutting through the air with unstoppable ferocity. At that moment, Bruno sighed internally.

The whale remained motionless, exactly where he had been since he stepped onto the arena. The saber was closing in rapidly. When it was five meters away, everyone in the arena watched the outcome with bated breath.

Then suddenly, the whale snorted. With that simple action, a wave of power burst from his body like a tsunami, furious winds of pure Qi that made the spectators widen their eyes.

In the next instant, three meters away, Girar just roared and his saber continued to descend mercilessly. It was then that the whale simply raised his arms high, and a rune glowed on his forehead.

The ground around the whale cracked, followed by a transcendental light. Like a celestial pillar, a giant sword emerged, overwhelming heaven and earth. In one careless move, the whale swung the sword downward...

KBOOOM!!!

The deafening sound of destruction echoed throughout the arena. Dust rose, and a trench cut through the ground for dozens of meters. The youths in the stands fell back stunned, unable to get up due to the impact.

The entire grand arena shook uncontrollably for several seconds. When everything calmed down, the youths looked to the most powerful ones next to them; their faces were stunned and confused.

The dust settled slowly, then everyone saw clearly the whale standing in the same place as before, not moving a single inch. He was completely intact and undisturbed as if he were on a walk in the park.

They frantically searched for Girar, but found nothing...

Until a death Yin rose to the sky, everyone swallowed hard and couldn’t believe it. They noticed only a few traces of blood and what was once a splendid Empyrean... he was gone... dead as if he were an insect, in just one careless move.
