The whale agreed to do the favor for this unknown man. Everyone looked at him anxiously, but no one said anything. The figure began to provide the information that was to be delivered to the race.
He and his wife were hunting and training in the forest. But they were cornered by the skies, not by one, but by two beasts. The two fought bitterly, giving their all, but only managed a draw. However, the beasts were intelligent and joined forces, capturing the woman and flying through the skies with her.
From his information, and from what Alm and Bruno assumed, he could use his QI for a short period using some technique; but it was weak, and flying was impossible. These beasts knew that, as if they had fought against others of the race and survived. In this continent, the beasts not only developed their physique but also their intelligence; they needed to be alert to this.
The man recounted that, even injured, he pursued the beasts. In front of everyone, he made an effort to raise his arm and pointed in a westward direction. "If you go in that direction, you will find in a short time a mountain that stands out for its height. My race calls it the Yellow Mountain of the West. That’s where their nest is... she was taken there."
The end of the story was obvious. He was young and didn’t use his brain. These beasts wouldn’t kill the woman immediately; they wanted her alive and took her to their nest. He would have time to ask for help from his race, but ended up in a state where he couldn’t even walk and foolishly condemned his wife completely.
Alm and Bruno concluded... it was a couple of beasts with hungry offspring. Intelligent beasts like these knew that the physical power of this race was high, and physical power brought high regeneration. Soon, they would feed their children with all her blood; in no time, the woman would recover completely. It was just a matter of repeating the process until her life force ran out, then they would kill her. It was a good source of food and nutrients for a long time.
"Just tell them that. To contact them is simple, head north. You will see a big river, and with my core in your hands, they will sense it and approach you. Since it’s impossible for my core to have been stolen, they will know that I gave you and will listen to you. I swear, my race is honorable and will not harm you; they will honor my decision and will not ask for my core back," the figure concluded.
The whale nodded approvingly, confirming that he would help. It was too good of a proposal, they just needed to go to the river and deliver the message. The man took a deep breath and then looked up at the starry sky for a few seconds... it was the last time he would see it.
"At least she should live," he muttered, trying to move his hand to his chest. But it was the last thing he remembered before blacking out.
Everyone saw the whale use its power of the earth and felt relieved. The man was unconscious by him, so the power of faith healed him enough so that he wouldn’t die anytime soon; then the earth covered him, creating an impenetrable defense.
The whale turned to everyone and took a step forward. "Let’s go, it’s risky to leave him here for too long." Everyone nodded with a slight smile and hurried steps, following him.
Rehvka was their lethal weapon. She could sneak into the cave and, using Almin’s pills in a confined space, would bring everything down in a terrifying explosion. Of course, the whale would give her the laws of the earth through the array so that she could protect the woman and herself. They would practically lose this card, but it would be safe. If the beasts survived, they would be in critical condition and it wouldn’t be a problem.
Almin prepared many different pills. Since fire was his specialty, high-level explosive pills were simple for him. He had dozens of them, and Rehvka would take them to strategically place them throughout the cave.
They spotted the tall and imposing mountain in the middle of the forest a few minutes later. Rehvka went alone, but the whale was focused on all her movements through the array and accompanied her using his divine soul.
The cave was high up and deep; they couldn’t use the soul to investigate so far due to the suppression of the place, besides it was dangerous to alert the beasts. They didn’t have cultivation, but one couldn’t underestimate the instinctive senses of something that lived amidst the chaos and savagery of the forest.
Rehvka slowly climbed the mountain with her own hands. In an hour, she reached exactly the middle, where a gigantic entrance stood. She took a deep breath and entered, feeling the strong smell of blood in its dark interior.
The place was high and damp. She began placing the explosive pills. Since the cave was halfway up the mountain, the upper part would crush everything and it was practically guaranteed that everyone inside would die.
She walked and quickly confirmed, excited. The two beasts seemed to be inside the cave taking care of the pups. They already had food for quite some time, so if they were not unlucky they wouldn’t be there. But soon enough, Rehvka stopped in her tracks and her eyes trembled.
The whale, who saw everything using his divine soul through her via the array, sighed. Rehvka heard screams... they were painful roars filled with agony. But the woman seemed to be fighting as well. From her voice and those of the beasts, she was trying to resist, unsuccessfully, of course.
Rehvka increased her speed anxiously, not forgetting to distribute the pills everywhere. She emitted no sound or presence; all her will was focused on saving this woman. After minutes of apprehension, a strange and repulsive feeling arose within her. Her body seemed to instinctively reject something, but she couldn’t identify what.
Alm and Bruno couldn’t feel this, they just sensed something was wrong with Rehvka, but she didn’t want to think too much or say anything. She just ran faster and spotted the scene from afar.
There were two pups, very close to being able to fly. They looked up at the top of the cave, eagerly awaiting something to fall. Pinned by four wooden spikes piercing her limbs was a three-meter-tall humanoid figure completely red.
She had three horns, very similar to the other man, but her color was different... it was unknown whether she was actually red or if her body, completely cut and dripping blood, gave that impression.
The two adult beasts were near her, doing something peculiar. Each of them held something shiny in their mouths. It pulsed... and the woman roared and struggled in terrible pain.
She stopped screaming two seconds after Rehvka arrived, as if whatever was torturing her had lost its energy.
So the two beasts started using that stuff in their mouths again. A bright light and pulsing ignited strongly, on each beast, there were seven runes as bright as stars in the night sky.
Rehvka saw clearly... the woman’s Yin was being forcefully drained and replaced... in the beasts’ mouths, there were herbs responsible for that. The beasts found a way to brutishly manipulate some treasures of this forest.
They were enhancing the woman’s nutrients! Her body was being tainted so that her offspring could absorb her blood, which was dripping even more fiercely.
The whale outside, after seeing that through Rehvka’s eyes, immediately turned to Almin and transferred the images to him.
"That’s... Solaris Herb?!" Almin spoke a bit incredulous and doubtful. "You gave me some of it when you brought Corin from that place called the Realm of the Heavens. That place should be something on a divine level, and the specimen should be at its highest level... but, these you showed, have seven runes, the original only had two. These must be a hundred times better! And there are two of them!"
"This is extreme divine Yang stuff, fuck!" The whale roared, and through the array quickly told Rehvka to flee.
But...
ROAR!!
The whole mountain shook with the roar of the two beasts. These herbs should only exist in the divine world, but in this place, under the influence of the behemoth, they were born. If it were at their normal level, everything would still be fine. But to make matters worse, they underwent a mutation, making them much more powerful.
The herbs were pure Yang of a level superior to Rehvka’s Yin. Now that she was relatively close, when the two used that stuff again, the Yin was attracted to the Yang and she was completely exposed.

It couldn’t be predicted that beasts would be so intelligent as to use this... much less that there would be two herbs with hundreds of times more power than a common one from the Divine Realm.
The whale exploded with all its forms and leaped up the mountain with quick and powerful jumps. Almin and Thea felt the gravity of the situation and used everything they had to run as fast as they could, following him.
In ten seconds, the whale reached the cave and entered swiftly. A spear appeared in his hand and he threw it with all his might, causing the entire cave to tremble.
BOOOM!
The spear hit one beast and pierced it, going through it... but that only lightly injured it. Its physical body was its greatest strength. It wouldn’t die with so little.
As for the other beast, it looked at the whale running towards it with black eyes. That bird had Rehvka in its mouth. Her whole body was death Yin; all that Yang power attracted everything from within her... her body simply became like a puppet with its strings cut. She had her eyes wide open, but couldn’t move, and soon fell powerless.
The worst-case scenario happened: she was completely captured. The whale’s lifeline, which was to open the spatial channel and escape, wouldn’t work with her trapped. Already defeating two beasts together... before it was only one, and they finished her off after she was gravely wounded stealthily.
Against just one beast, and fighting head-on, it would already be a tough battle. Using their cards, it should be possible, but they would have to be precise. Now, against two together, and with them having the advantage of being able to fly... they, without their QI, were in a desperate situation.
