A violent wave of Qi swept through a region at the entrance of the sacred forest. Three shockwave explosions with the earth sounded simultaneously. Twelve young cultivators emerged floating in the air, observing that forest with surprised eyes. Suddenly, they narrowed their eyes and turned downward, where they saw three ogres rising again, covered in wounds as if nothing had happened.
In the same second, a frenzied and bloody aura emanated from them, engulfing the twelve. The air around them became heavy. Startled, everyone stared at those green figures; just looking into the eyes of those ogres made them feel like blood was rising in their throats.
Suddenly, over a hundred auras from all directions emerged, surrounding the twelve cultivators. All chosen to guard the entrance of the forest immediately joined; they were warriors who had fought for a century in a bloody and desperate battle. At the same instant, they all let their will to fight flow.
The world and the laws around the twelve grew dark in the face of their will. Just trying to breathe became painful, a cold sweat passed down their backs, and they were completely suppressed without the use of any Qi.
Among the twelve, four young ones snorted dryly. Suddenly, their Qi pulsed, and everything was broken and thrown away. They looked around and saw over a hundred cultivators, of various races and appearances, staring at them coldly. They were all holding their weapons and watching them; if they made a single move, they would attack mercilessly, like uncontrolled beasts.
Suddenly, a young elf with a gentle appearance and green hair stepped forward. Everyone looked at her, ready to attack, but her fluctuations were calm and devoid of malice; this made them hesitate.
"Ladies and gentlemen, I apologize for the misunderstanding. I am Azja Litharion, belonging to one of the four families that govern this planet. Everyone behind me is also part of these families," she spoke slowly, bowing slightly. "Something very serious has happened, and we need to investigate every corner to find the culprit. I know there was a big problem with the twelve families that were our servants... but they acted on their own and did not inform us. We recognize our fault, but we have no ill intentions."
"RUBBISH!" A dry roar echoed from a beast-like figure. "You were warned to wait. You chose to force your way in and attacked one of ours; you even dared to defile the sacred dwelling of the God!"
"hahahaha!" A dark-skinned dwarf with jade-like bright eyes laughed uncontrollably. "Ignorant mortals, think you’re kings among insects? Hahaha, a God? Let’s see this idiot."
Immediately, the hundreds of defenders tightened their grip on their weapons, creating a reverberating metallic sound. In everyone’s eyes, there was madness as if they had cursed their mothers. In the next moment, their weapons pulsed, and a cutting power made the dwarf swallow hard, stopping his laughter.
The expressions of the eleven behind became tense, and the elf looked distressed. All twelve fully released their cultivations, sensing the danger. The skies trembled, and space spun, small fissures appearing everywhere.
The forest defenders faced the invaders with seriousness; all of them were at the second level of the Body Destruction Realm. Although they shared exactly the same cultivation, the invaders only released their Qi, and space began to collapse.
They could only do this when they attacked with everything they had; the difference was like heaven and earth. But even so, none of the over a hundred felt fear. In fact, they were eager to fight and test themselves; they just hadn’t attacked yet because they received a message.
"What a waste of time, let’s just destroy everything already. This forest is too abnormal; there’s definitely something suspicious here."
A human man spoke calmly. His appearance was striking like someone from Montide. Within the city, there were thousands of them, which made the defenders look somewhat doubtful.
The elf named Azja intervened. "Wait, Fuzyu, we didn’t come to kill; we’re just investigating. We forced our way in."
"I agree with Fuzyu, this place is suspicious." A woman with a common appearance but snake-like eyes spoke slowly. Her bestial aura was striking, and an extreme heat could be felt coming from her.
The dwarf smirked maliciously and spoke. "I, Clamoi, and Fuzyu agree. Let’s kill until this God shows up, then we just interrogate him."
"Mocel, we won’t kill anyone. This is a forest full of pure and sacred life; I won’t allow it to be tainted. To create something like this, this God must be someone kind and pure."
The dwarf chuckled lightly but didn’t care and pulled out an extremely heavy silver hammer. The other two also prepared to attack. If the three agreed, the elf couldn’t say anything afterward.
"Are you going to attack mortals? I thought your families still had some honor." The elf Azja spoke with a disgusted expression.
The human Fuzyu glanced at her lightly and spoke. "I don’t mind, but it’s hard to see your beautiful face distorted. Well, let’s leave the fun to our retainers."
Each of the four families sent a young leader, each bringing two retainers. The three nodded slightly; indeed, it would be a bit embarrassing for them to attack themselves. The retainers were much weaker, and the opponents seemed experienced; the defenders wouldn’t die immediately. Azja sighed; after some died, the rest should stop the fight. Unfortunately, she alone couldn’t do much more to save them.
The nine retainers smiled eagerly, then roared and attacked with everything they had. The elf sighed; even her retainers wanted to attack; she really had no support. But she looked at the hundreds of defenders and saw something amiss. They were still standing still, and even though extremely angry, they had no intention of attacking... it was as if they were waiting for something? She weighed confused.
The nine advanced together in one direction; they knew they were hundreds against just nine. Everyone’s cultivation was equal; even though the nine were infinitely superior, they couldn’t be so arrogant. But if each covered the blind spot of the other, they would easily massacre. When they were two meters away from hitting a group of hybrid beasts, their eyes turned bloodthirsty.
But at the same time, the earth and the air rumbled!
BOOM!!
All nine flew out spitting blood like crimson meteors and passed by the four at an abnormal speed. The four watched ahead in total shock. They saw emerge completely from the void, a colossal celestial blue blade.
It was just one movement... and then it seemed like the world collapsed. How heavy and powerful is that weapon? Everyone thought with wide eyes.
A round and gigantic figure waved the heavy sword as if it were a twig. The sword disappeared. Then he took slow and lazy steps forward, each step making the earth subtly vibrate and emit a sound... who was heavier, the sword or the fat?
"What the hell? Is this an ogre or a beastly whale?" The dwarf Mocel muttered sarcastically.
"It seems the guests have no respect. Well then, go back and call the adults for a chat before I beat you." The whale spoke, waving as if shooing away flies.
All four squinted, feeling their retainers slowly rising, completely injured. Then the divine beast woman named Clamoi smiled, spitting.
"Just you?"
The whale snorted, and his hand moved. His eyes pulsed in a brown earthy color, at the same time his fist clenched. The four felt a primordial lineage pulsating, and their hearts skipped.
Crack... Crack... AAAH!
The four heard the sound of screams and bones breaking. Then they turned and saw the nine retainers completely trapped by earth laws and their blood spreading.
"My lord! Help!" A dwarf woman screamed, feeling her body about to explode.
"YOU BASTARD!" The dwarf Mocel shouted furiously, unleashing all his power and charging with his hammer.
The whale just stood there and smiled. As Mocel advanced five meters towards the whale, a shadow appeared on his back. Suddenly, an elf with a strange appearance emerged next to a woman. It was completely without warning or fluctuations; the elf simply punched downwards.
The dwarf immediately turned, surprised. He tried to move his hammer to block, but the pressure of the blow was so intense that space slowed his movements.
BOOM!
A single punch made the dwarf explode like a missile into the earth, creating a crater. The entire forest ground trembled with the meteoric impact. The three were so stunned that their thoughts slowed. But the whale’s voice woke them up.
"You’d better watch your backs..."
They then felt a strange heat and turned around. With their hearts pounding, they saw a handsome human. Around him, a dense white aura danced with his Yang flames; his eyes were strange, like those of a snake.
Clamoi felt a resonance with his lineage, but the pressure coming from that young man was immense. "Who... who are you?" her lips moved, murmuring.
The man had a serious look, snorted, and smiled. All his power exploded, and a white sun surged forward, wanting to engulf the three, like a divine avalanche.
Whooosh!
The human and the elf felt their bodies burning and ran with blackened burns. Clamoi reacted immediately and activated all her lineage and her own Yang flames in combat. A clash of Yang flames covered the skies.

They both backed away to the ground and looked up in shock. Clamoi didn’t have time to assume her true form; if she tries, she’ll be killed. She was sweating and her face was twisted; even with her extreme resistance to Yang, she wasn’t gaining any advantage! If she hadn’t blocked and they had been engulfed, they would have turned into charcoal. Both thought, breaking out in a cold sweat.
It was in the same second they thought that they noticed two very close presences surrounding them. They turned and saw that elf and woman approaching with cold eyes.
The woman was walking and Fuzyu watched her, becoming even more stunned; her appearance was unmistakable. Suddenly, the woman’s eyes turned violet, and he felt his mind become clouded.
"Mental power! You..."
Swish...
She drew her katana from her waist, and as she did, he swallowed hard, feeling as if a blade was passing through his throat. Death was so palpable that his words faltered.
On the other side, the man who looked like an elf, but at the same time was very different, took slow steps towards Azja. She, as an elf, looked at him and immediately ignited her lineage. In the same second, the same lineage in the ’elf’ in front of her reverberated; he definitely had the same blood.
Azja’s eyes trembled and she spoke quickly. "Lord, we’re relatives! There’s no need..."
She stopped, feeling Fuzyu unleash all his power and attack with his thin-bladed sword. She saw the strange, curved weapon of the woman move slightly; a clash was imminent.
Clang!
The thin sword snapped in half in a second like a twig. The curved blade moved towards Fuzyu’s throat. He had completely bewildered eyes, feeling death approaching. The woman just scoffed sarcastically, and her katana moved downwards, cutting lightly.
"AAAAAAH!"
Blood spurted, and a bloody gash cut through Fuzyu’s chest. In the next second, the woman spun and kicked. It was a frontal kick directly to his wounded chest, causing him to groan in pain and fly, blood splattering.
Azja saw the elf stop a little ahead of her with a malicious smile; he didn’t seem to want to attack her. Then, she turned in shock to see Fuzyu fallen in the distance... She sighed; the woman didn’t want to kill him, just made him feel pain and maliciously cut him.
"DIE!" The dwarf Mocel emerged from the crater in that second and turned screaming towards the whale.
Around him, the QI condensed, and hundreds of runes appeared, covering him. Suddenly, the small body of the dwarf turned silver; he became a steel dwarf and jumped at an abnormal speed. Beside him, Azja felt a fluctuation and turned to the ’elf’ nearby.
Her eyes widened to see the elf wave and a sea of runes appear. She recognized it; they were runes of all five natural elements, as well as Yin and Yang!
’He has elf blood... that’s impossible!’ She murmured, as the elf leaped.
The earth beneath him cracked; his speed was not inferior to the dwarf’s... in fact, it was greater! He ran only using his physique and his QI.
KABOOM!
A multi-elemental power exploded with a punch on top of the dwarf before he got within a meter of the whale. The dwarf flew away like a metal ball, he fell and rolled on the ground creating a long trench.
In the air, an explosive sound rang out. Clamoi shot down with her burned body, a hole appeared right next to the dwarf.
In a few seconds and few movements, the three were defeated without a chance of retaliation. Only the elf was spared for some reason. She looked at the whale swallowing hard; seconds passed and the three rose covered in blood. The whale looked at all of them and spoke without emotion.
"You have now forced me to stain my home with blood... I will charge compensation for the lack of manners."
His words were followed by a sinister smile, sounding eerie. Immediately, the four young ones forgot to breathe, struck by instinctive fear.
Suddenly, all the laws of the sacred forest froze. In the same second, everything within the formation was covered by a vibrant golden hue.
