Alm and Bruno tensed up as they recalled the memories in their minds. They clearly saw a humanoid being that looked human but was definitely from a bloodline descended from Chromaraic, something they had never seen before. They distinctly sensed his cultivation, identifying it in the Spirit Fusion Realm, a divine realm.

However, Gaia’s memories conveyed more than just images; they felt his divine soul radiating power. And they sensed his inexplicable connection to the Heaven’s Will; they had no doubt about what it was.

He was brought to this planet, bound by hundreds of creatures with golden wings. Commanding everything was a figure standing at five meters, radiating a golden power different from that of a hero but with the same origin, something granted by the queen. Then, everything went blank; it was a brief event devoid of explanations.

’The primordial core of this planet must have initially been common. However, after the creation of the star formation, it suddenly gained much power and some intelligence. But why would it send this to us?’ Bruno reasoned confusedly.

’Don’t you remember the first time we refined a divine planet? The primordial core clearly tried to negotiate and stop us at that time.’ Alm reflected for a moment and thought of something, snorting dryly as he continued, ’The star formation connects and nourishes a single place with the laws and Qi of various other planets. Countless primordial cores are being killed, and life in them is being extinguished so that this place exists. In addition to that, the native life of this place is being slowly massacred... no matter the gains that Gaia from this planet is receiving; it is something pure and wouldn’t accept something so nefarious. A complete idiot, it should have just stayed quiet.’

Bruno understood with a sigh. Primordial cores are like that, very simple, very pure, and very benevolent, especially to those born in them.

’Well, if we’re going to reach the ninth level of the Heaven Stage in this place and undergo the tribulation, the chances of the system using the side quest to save this missionary are 100%,’ Bruno spoke with conviction. ’But the Heaven’s Will was very weak. Maybe it doesn’t have the power to send us to another place this time, saving this missionary should help it a bit, benefiting us as well.’

Alm spat. ’The problem is how we’re going to do that while being so weak. We just narrowly escaped from near death, and now we’ve fallen into something even more dangerous. The main issue is that we lack a lot of information.’

Bruno also tensed up; they were navigating in the dark again. But after an hour, the whale narrowed its eyes, sensing something.

SCREEEEEEEEEE!

Then, in the next second, the sound of a sharp and penetrating scream, resonating with majesty and unique singularity, echoed throughout the area.

Immediately, the whale’s heart started pulsating instinctively. Alm and Bruno confirmed with the reaction of their bodies, and Bruno spoke. ’That came from an extremely pure bloodline of a Phoenix!’

In Alm and Bruno’s previous universe, there were phoenixes, actually two of them. They were considered primordial beasts, second only to the dragon in the hierarchy. However, since then, they had encountered other types of primordial beasts and were no longer sure where the phoenix fit in compared to the behemoth. But from the suppression they felt, it definitely wasn’t weaker anymore; perhaps a bit above.

The scream tore through the skies but seemed to come from very far away; then, a disturbance in the laws followed. Something with this sacred bloodline was fighting using all its might, much like they used to do.

Toq! Toq! Toq!

A rapid knocking sounded on the door of the earthen structure. "Sir! Please!" It was Yanson calling, so the whale went out.

He looked at the young man who should be taking care of the place and noticed the tension in his eyes. "Please, I beg you. Help her, sir."

"Do you know who owns that bloodline?" The whale asked lightly.

"Yes! She’s a bit foolish and naive, but she’s a good person." He replied quickly, and the whale narrowed its eyes. More foolish and naive than him? Alm definitely didn’t want to know.

"She belongs to the Black Phoenix clan, one of the most powerful demonic beasts in the entire underworld. She lives in the central city of the planet, an honor granted to only three beastly clans. She’s burning her bloodline, so she’s in danger; I beg you, only you can help." Yanson completed anxiously.

The whale, in turn, saw the opportunity arise. Someone living in the central city should have a lot of privileged information, which would be very helpful. He then turned to the black elf. "I can help, but if she’s not trustworthy, I’ll put a slave seal on her. I don’t tolerate betrayals."

"She will never betray you! She’s a playful young one, who was running out of the city with snot running down her nose not too long ago. I guarantee she will be obedient." He replied immediately.

The whale turned around, waving, and leaped into the air lightly in a direction without looking back. The fluctuations were very apparent; the power of this young one was very pure. Yin mixed with fire laws, making a large area scorching hot.

It didn’t take long for the whale to see the commotion several kilometers ahead. It was a small but majestic and imposing Black Phoenix. She cut through the skies with her dark wings spread wide. Her black feathers shimmered with her primordial bloodline, swallowing the world’s light. The phoenix dove and dodged with agility while five black hawks tried to close in.

Her piercing scream echoed, challenging the beasts, while the black flames left sinister trails in the air. The battle was a chaotic dance in the skies, with graceful movements and fierce attacks. The Black Phoenix, with its yin nature, unleashed waves of black flames, briefly illuminating the surrounding darkness. The demonic beasts responded with swift dives and sharp claws.

Alm spoke dryly. ’Indeed a fool. Possesses supreme power, but only knows how to throw it around haphazardly. When black hawks attack together, she retreats in fear... she doesn’t deserve the power she has. We got lucky big time; let her stay almost dead and...’

’No, let’s save her.’ Bruno retorted and moved quickly forward.

They could read her near-death memories in full and, afterward, still keep her bloodline. Alm cursed a bit but soon reluctantly accepted, then used Yin to conceal himself.

The black phoenix’s blood and feathers fell slowly as she was repeatedly wounded; this fight wouldn’t last much longer. When the whale was a few meters below, hidden, a message reached the phoenix’s mind.

’I can help you. Pretend to be severely injured and give an opening; they will all attack you together. Then, I’ll finish this.’ Bruno said and used the power of his faith rune.

She would feel a conviction and instinctively lean towards accepting it, due to her simple and childish nature that Yanson spoke of. But obviously, who would really accept this? She couldn’t even see them and was in an almost deadly fight. Her bloodline was pure and powerful, and the enemies were five at the same cultivation level as hers; still, she was being defeated. In her mind, it was impossible for anyone to do something; it was a clear test.

’Leave! They are Dark Scale Hawks, their bloodlines are pure. If I don’t defeat them, no one else can.’ The response came quickly, and panting.

The whale waved. ’Are you sure? Yanson sent me; he said you would obey.’

Immediately, in the sky, the black feathers trembled after those words. Then the whale felt a strangeness; immediately, the black phoenix spat out a lot of blood, showing an intense state of frailty.

"ATTACK TOGETHER!" The five Dark Scale Hawks roared in unison, cutting through the air toward her.

Alm and Bruno were surprised by her sudden change. Then, they moved in the same second through the shadows. The black phoenix only watched tremulously as the five closed in on her; she didn’t move as if she had accepted death, but in her eyes, there was no hesitation. Then, when they were a meter away from touching her feathers.

CRACK!

She just saw five pillars of black earth suddenly rise up, soaring into the sky. It was so fast it seemed to sprout from the void. They pierced directly through the core of all of them as they screamed in agony. Then, a round shadow emerged with a saber in hand and finished the job.

It lasted five seconds, and everything ended as if it were something so simple that the round figure seemed to lazily execute.

The whale turned to the black phoenix in the air, and she looked at him, stunned and disbelieving. But her voice sounded shaky. ’Is... is he okay?’

She didn’t care enough about her wounded condition for any other enemy to kill her now. Alm and Bruno sensed her concern, and the whale spoke. "Rest, I’ll take you to Yanson."

The black phoenix nodded, and a glow enveloped her. She assumed a humanoid form and passed out. The whale moved forward to grab her in the air. Then Bruno widened his eyes. She was a tall, bulky woman with grayish skin and slightly pointed ears like a black elf. But her hair was fiery red in contrast.

Bruno muttered. ’This... wasn’t supposed to be a child? She looks like a full-grown woman to me.’

’What? Is your lolicon bloodline acting up again?’ Alm retorted immediately.
