On that silent and cold day in the abyss, in the early hours, the first three local clans from the seventh level began to approach a deserted and inhospitable place. Quickly, these three demonic clans, composed of a few hundred members, stopped at a great distance and looked ahead; a world of lightning existed in front, with waves and electric snakes serpentine through the threatening environment.

The sixth-level clans silently approached at some point. Then, after a few hours, everyone turned surprised; a fifth-level clan had arrived.

Most knew that lower-level clan for a long time, so everyone felt immense strangeness. Entering the lightning realm was an immense danger, to the point that no one even approached the electric dome before the appointed time. Just around it, there was already a field of subtle laws that could easily kill. So, everyone was forced to wait for the level of laws to decrease before entering.

The four lower realms were free for anyone to explore, but rarely would a clan higher than the level where the realm was located enter. Even rarer was a clan two levels below coming. Especially in the lightning realm, considered the most deadly realm even more than the mist realm of the ninth level.

Along with the laws of fire, electrical laws were the closest to Yang, usually the most challenging for demons to handle. The realm of flames was on the fifth level, and even though it was technically as lethal, due to the low level of the place, the realm was not so difficult depending on cultivation.

But in the lightning realm, even a cultivator in the top 10 of demonic clans would have to be careful, and the gains for these powerful clans did not outweigh the risks.

As for the six clans of the seventh and sixth levels, they didn’t mind going to the realm of flames and facing the danger of that place for another reason: All these demons were races specialized in physical power and only the Lightning Realm in the entire abyss would provide solid benefits. Despite immense risks still existing, if they could endure in Lightning Realm, electrical laws would benefit them like no other.

The main reason for this law being so special for these demons was its importance to all living beings. In every infinitely small cell of the mortal body, there were always countless arcs of electricity flowing. Thus, using this for cultivation became natural. When their bodies are tempered by thunder and survive, the whole body is naturally refined and becomes increasingly formidable.

Fortunately for these clans, no clan, aside from the top 4, had the same specialization as them. And due to the significant advantage their races had in using the realm, it was impossible for the lower clans to surpass them. Occasionally, a sixth-level clan would slightly surpass a seventh-level one, but this happened very rarely.

The hours passed, and soon everyone felt the decrease in electrical laws coming from the realm. It’s almost time to enter. Then, a large movement was felt by everyone. It was a surprising quantity... were they all half-demons?! Everyone there thought in surprise.

Everyone watched in bewilderment and had no idea who they were. It was only seconds later that a message from the fifth-level clan reached the minds of some demons from the higher clans.

"WHAT?! Soul Eater Clan and Serpent Wing Clan?" A brutish and gigantic red demon spoke harshly, and everyone heard.

"They’re now on the fifth level?" The same demon roared and seemed unable to grasp this information.

It was in the midst of these words that the electrical laws of the realm stabilized completely, and the entire world of lightning around the dome disappeared.

The thousands of half-demons approached silently and continued walking. Although rare, there were always half-demons among the clans. Of course, this happened with abyssal beasts, and these hybrids were treated as less than slaves within the clan. They had a miserable life and could never leave the clan to avoid bringing humiliation to the race they belonged to.

So, the pure demons clearly felt the lineage of those hybrids, and their brows furrowed. There was human blood flowing and also wyvern blood. There were only two clans in which this was possible to exist, leaving no doubt.

So, everyone snorted and turned around running; this was something very suspicious, but their time was limited. Quickly, all nine clans entered inside the electric dome without looking back.

Crackle! Zzzap! Zzzap!

A multicolored world, surrounded by electric buzzing, crackling, and intense sizzling, emerged. Electric currents and sinuous lightning snakes traversed the entire world made of electricity. It was almost impossible to see two meters ahead, and quickly, everyone felt their souls trembling with colossal deadly lightning storms approaching.

All the half-demons trembled, spitting blood, and the half-wyverns forced their true forms as they felt their human bodies almost tearing apart.

"Move forward!" Runula and Calirer spoke through the symbols of their clans to everyone.

The whale group ran ahead, and the leaders clenched their fists and followed with thousands behind.

In less than two minutes, a burst of black blood was heard in the middle of the clan. It was a younger half-demon who couldn’t resist. Everyone sighed in lamentation; anyone who survived to that point was a warrior honed to the extreme. But in the face of those lightning, everyone was fragile.

"Keep going! We have to endure on our own!" Calirer shouted to everyone.

Flying a few meters away, the wyverns had the easiest life; their physiques were already robust, and these lightning shouldn’t pose a danger. But, after thirty minutes and almost a hundred deaths among the half-demons, even those half-wyverns flapped their wings tremulously, their scales threatened to crack every second, and the sensation of death was palpable.

"Master... will they hold on?" Ruri, on the whale’s shoulder, spoke a bit tensely.

"With their cultivation, it will only be fatal if there is a breach in their defenses. But this lightning has the purest and most basic essence of lightning, annihilation and death." The whale said softly. "Even without causing harm, just upon contact, this lightning affects the mind and brings a feeling of despair from the depths of their soul. Everyone who died did not die because they couldn’t endure, but because they let themselves die."

Ruri stopped, startled, then looked at the lightning around her and the nearby group. Clearly, the lightning was striking her and making contact, but her master, with his glowing fists, cleared it all away. She only felt discomfort, but it didn’t seem to be anything serious.

"Everyone here is a mix who lived being weak and sometimes had to endure humiliations. These are natural experiences for all cultivators. Despite everything, they have a clan, a home, and could live a decent life if not consumed by greed," said the whale, his voice gentle. "Look at Langrum, Almin, and Loeus. They’re receiving the same treatment as the others. Can you see any discomfort in them?"

Ruri shook her head negatively, and the whale continued. "That’s because all of you faced true despair and misery. And yet, you overcame it. I’m not saying this was done alone, but change starts from within. To win, you must first transform yourself."

"Now, your wills are like fortresses. Even if the heavens fall on you, you face challenges head-on. A slight despair from an inert law? That’s so pathetic it’s barely bothersome. As for those mixes, they need to learn to believe in themselves. Or they’re doomed to die."

So, everyone continued with brisk steps. As the hour passed, the numbers of deaths stopped. Just over two hundred died, all half-demons. The half-wyverns came very close to death and even fell to the ground. But the dragon lineage ignited, reviving them; now their density was even greater and powerful.

On the other side, almost all who died were young half-demons who had never gone through a tribulation. Those who were only talented and couldn’t bear the weight of their own minds were gone. But now, these surviving youths would face future tribulations with different eyes, without flinching. This would completely change their futures, harnessing all the benefits of refining from the heavens and creating a much denser spiritual root.

Ruri looked at everyone behind her, feeling like she understood something. But even before they could breathe a sigh of relief, the world changed, and their bodies froze as they took a step.

"We’ve reached the central area, get ready and wait. The real training will begin soon." The whale said and took steps forward, leaving everyone stunned.

The whale and Ruri walked for a few minutes. Then, quickly ahead of them, they felt the core of this electric world high in the skies. However, a strange sensation quickly arose.

They halted their steps, and Ruri, sensing tension in the air, slipped onto the back of the whale. With just the thought of moving, a deadly sensation emerged. Alm and Bruno then didn’t hesitate and observed ahead, using all the power of their souls.

"That... seems like they had the same idea as us," Bruno murmured, then the whale took a step forward.

Suddenly, everyone behind felt a shock in all the laws of this place and turned in fear to the front. Soon, they witnessed two giant yellow eyes opening like two suns.
