Inside the desert, the darkness of the night prevailed, along with the starry sky. The group took their first steps on the sands, and, contrary to expectations, Almin and Langrum didn’t notice anything around them. However, immediately, the whale felt a peculiar fluctuation above.

’Interesting, the laws of the wind are completely blocking perception. Only if the patriarch looked directly or was very close would it be enough to notice this.’ Alm mentally analyzed.

Everyone walked slowly, as if they didn’t care about anything, sometimes even chatting among themselves. After an hour, they were already at a considerable distance from the entrance, and everyone was extremely anxious about the wait without being able to relax. It was at this moment that the whale stopped, and everyone turned to him, who had excited eyes.

"Finally," the whale muttered to everyone.

Shhhwwwwww...

Strangely, neither Almin nor Langrum could feel any fluctuation, even when the sound and sight of the sands opening emerged from all directions. Then, blending with the darkness of the night, countless black pillars emerged from the earth, each several meters high.

These pillars were arranged in a perfect circle. The entire group seemed to be in the center of an area surrounded by these pillars. It all lasted a few seconds, and there was no one or any Qi. They felt all the starlight disappear, and their world became completely dark.

Everyone tightened their weapons, completely stunned. It was at this moment that the whale’s amused voice sounded. "Seems like Almin’s longing for his women was strong enough to keep you alive."

"Hehehehe... you... the day has finally come." A dry and almost powerless voice sounded.

So, at a distant point from the group, amid total darkness, six scarlet wings emerged, slightly illuminating the area. The owner of the wings was a figure that looked like a dried-up corpse, with only bones and skin. In his eyes, there seemed to be a black mist of pure hatred.

Glub!

"Dyen!" Almin murmured, recognizing that figure after swallowing a pill. Immediately, his eyes lit up with the laws of fire, and he jumped away from the group toward the old man. All his Qi exploded, and a pillar of fire rose to the sky from the ground beneath his feet.

Almin’s clothes fluttered, and his long hair danced. Intense heat covered a vast area, causing the sands to melt immediately. The current Almin pointed his spear at the old man with an unshakable will, resembling a war god; his eyes filled with disdain for the entire world.

"Hehehehehe, you reached Core Formation? Nothing has changed," the old man spoke sinisterly.

Only in that second immersed in his will to fight, Almin noticed his surroundings. He saw dozens... hundreds... maybe even a thousand scarlet wings slowly lighting up. They appeared in all directions. Quickly, a cold sweat ran down his back, and a Qi tsunami surged in all directions.

"They’re all elders..." Langrum spoke, gripping her sword and approaching Loeus, feeling immense pressure.

All the elders activated their Qi, being in the early stages of the Core Formation Realm. They were an army of hundreds, and the whale’s group consisted of only five people, three of them in the first level of the Core Formation Realm. Langrum just thought about how insane this whale was for intentionally attracting all of them.

Bruno spoke mentally. ’This formation is peculiar. It’s definitely close to what those elders used to imprison us in the prison. They must come from the same demon race.’ (Chapter 168)

’This comes from demons close to the laws of space. This formation is a small area separated from the desert; no fluctuation inside can escape. Thus, they can kill us without leaving a trace,’ Alm analyzed coldly.

Almin stood still as if he were scared, and the old man looked at him, relishing the situation even more. Suddenly, a message through the array reached Almin’s mind, and his expression changed completely. Old Dyen saw a smile appear on him, then was startled when the Qi around Almin was suddenly swept away.

Almin’s spear hummed, and its runes lit up, seeming to pierce through time and space. The ground beneath his feet bowed, and he ran at an extreme speed like a bloodthirsty god of death toward the stunned old man. Suddenly, the space around the old man warped.

BOOM!

Using the spear created by the whale, Almin collided forcefully against three united sabers that blocked him, still with their blades trembling. The ground split, and the sky shook as a terrible Qi wave shot out.

Dyen and two other wicked elders who appeared to help him were holding the sabers, but quickly, all three stepped back a few paces in front of Almin. Their skin seemed to be burning, and the air in their lungs was like lava; this power was too wild and incredible.

"What?!" Dyen was completely shocked. He never dreamed that this pathetic brat could become so strong. When they fought before, he couldn’t use his cultivation. Now, he was using everything, and even with help, it seemed he couldn’t withstand Almin’s power.

A clash of forces ensued for a few seconds. Both sides seemed in an equally matched standoff, and they could no longer move in perfect balance.

"You struggled so much to survive... great! Now, I’ll be able to kill you with my own hands!" Almin spat, and his eyes changed to a violet hue.

Suddenly, the other two elders, still frightened, felt their bodies being invaded, and the grip on their weapons loosened. Dyen was the first to react, and without hesitation, he released his weapon and jumped to the side. The other poor elders, after losing a limb, lost their balance and only saw the bloodthirsty gaze advancing.

CRACK! CRACK!

The sound of two bodies breaking and blood splattering echoed in an almost unbelievable manner. All the elders from afar saw everything unfold in a few seconds, stunned. For the first time, Almin’s cultivation in the Core Formation Realm was revealed; this was already inconceivable for a disciple, making them hesitate a bit. Now he... quickly killed two elders with the same cultivation as him? What madness is this, everyone thought.

Old Dyen quickly got up with difficulty and turned towards the whale’s group; from a distance, the round figure just watched him with mocking eyes. Extreme hatred welled up, and the old Dyen’s withered body contorted, then he shouted with all his might.

"Quick! Everyone in the group is abnormal, and we can’t give them any chance!"

The whale’s lips curved even more, and its eyes closed. Only after a second, all the elders snorted and ran in a unified march. They were many, and they were invincible, even if these disciples were abnormal, what could they do?

A wave of Qi followed in all directions with them. In a second, they were very close, but no one cared about a little girl who released her pathetic cultivation. Her eyes were entirely violet, and an aura covered her, then she floated a bit from the ground. Following that, with her small hand, she touched the whale’s shoulder.

In that second, the whale opened its eyes, and the whole world changed color to an earthy brown, the same color as his.

WHOOSH!

A sudden explosion of wind and earth sent all the elders flying several meters back. As they got up, their eyes became serious. In an instant, the entire environment was enveloped by a violent sandstorm.

None of them could see a hand in front of them, and their perceptions seemed to be swallowed by the sands. Their weapons trembled; they couldn’t even sense the other elders nearby.

In just a few seconds, cries of pain were heard from different directions. Soon, everyone noticed traces of blood flowing over their skin. The sand was as dense and hard as steel, cutting through and penetrating their defenses easily. The entire area was covered by this sand, and those weaker couldn’t withstand it and tried to flee. Unfortunately for them, there was nowhere for them to escape.

In the center of it all, floating, was the whale, and Ruri on his shoulder with closed eyes. The whale’s perception was directed upwards, outside the barrier.

"They didn’t react in time thanks to the mental power, excellent. Now, they won’t have another opportunity," Alm spoke mentally, laughing sinisterly. Then the whale made a move, and Ruri opened her eyes.

At the top of the barrier, almost touching its limit, the sand particles quickly gathered. Then, just above, a crack appeared at the top of the barrier, letting in the light of the night stars.

Soon, a wave of wind laws threatened to enter the formation, descending from the sky and funneling through the crack. A wall of earth emerged, and on it, violet runes appeared again.

"Mental Drawing Technique, fused perfectly, master! The earth has turned into an impenetrable barrier!" Ruri mentally spoke excitedly.

Now, with her mental cultivation, the level of the runes of this mental technique became frightening. But, of course, this was only possible because the array provided enough Qi. Even Almin was contributing a bit. Ruri would never be able to do even 1% of it with her cultivation alone.

Bruno nodded. "The high elders that are hiding outside can’t reveal themselves and only move covered by the laws of the wind. If they want to pass through the barrier, they’ll have to risk the black elf sensing them after using Qi. Everything is going as..."

Suddenly, the souls of Alm and Bruno petrified. They felt above, very high in the sky, a small fluctuation of spatial laws. Then, through a small tremor in space, a thread of Qi fell like an arrow.

"DAMN, IT’S A PATRIARCH!" Alm and Bruno exclaimed.

BOOM!

The earth defense they put together with Ruri shattered immediately.
