The entire universe resonated with the golden power that penetrated like spiderwebs into the gray world. The Yin and Yang tattoos released all their power, but the first level of the technique was insufficient. The hero’s body’s Qi was then employed to the limit. The queen was just a will manipulating her golden power directly, using Qi, in theory, was efficient. But, in the end, it was as useless as a breeze in the midst of a storm.

’What do we have at our disposal...’ They thought together, without even realizing they were once again a single entity.

The golden silhouette’s eyes watched with amusement at that futile resistance. "I’ve already dealt with many heralds of the Heaven’s Will in the past. They grew like weeds everywhere. But after I learned not to kill them and turn their power into my own, I was surprised at how useful they were."

Alm and Bruno didn’t respond, just spat blood to the side and looked back with extreme disgust and hatred.

She then continued with a sigh. "You don’t need to be so stubborn. I don’t intend to kill you. The Heaven’s Will has no power left, and you are the last of them. It’s impossible to win a war alone. Join me, and I will treat you well. My words are worth more than gold."

"Hahahaha... cough" They laughed in a bloody manner. "I’ve never bowed to anything, and I got where I am with my own legs. I didn’t have direct help from that Heaven’s Will garbage. Your head will be mine... and I... won’t do it alone."

Her golden eyes flickered slightly. He made it here alone? That was ridiculous, she thought. Obviously, he must have received help at some level. To avoid potential problems during such a crucial period she would go through, she had left the Heaven’s Will in its final breaths, and that would last for a few hundred millennia. No missionaries should have emerged during that entire period—so how was this one born? This figure was definitely abnormal. Even disregarding the method that brought him into existence, he must have received less than 1% of the help that other missionaries had. Yet, even so, he was already above most of them.

"Do you think you can manipulate everyone’s life and destroy everything as you please? There will always be those who will break free and fight, even without hope. It won’t be long before I go get your true head." Alm and Bruno’s words were spat out with their souls rising and merging with the laws of the world in a final desperate breath.

The ashen power trembled and transmuted. The golden eyes merely heard those words without caring too much; she had already lived a lot and heard similar ridiculous things many times before. It was only at that moment that she felt the Yin and Yang change. The gray turned black as the abyss, and a subtle bestial and demonic fluctuation emerged.

In the closed world, all the demon beasts and demons had their eyes lit with runes. They looked at the cosmos and witnessed that divine duel. At that moment, they already had an unshakable certainty; in the body of that hero was the being that guided them to impossible freedom. Then, their bloodline seemed to be summoned by the runes, and they didn’t hesitate for a second, giving everything they had.

An oppressive and bestial presence fell like a hammer, covering the entire universe. At the same time, an instinctive terror, stemming from the purest demonic power, surfaced in a predatory mix. In the center, the figure of the hero was enveloped by a subtle trembling black flame, while the golden power swallowed the entire world without hesitation. It was then that Alm and Bruno opened their eyes.

’To know Langrum, then all the events that led to us having to learn the demonic technique and then meeting our master Calirer...’ Their minds reflected, feeling all the bloodline power they possessed. ’Now we were guided to learn everything about demons and demon beasts... the Heaven’s Will... it is just a silent guide, but it doesn’t do anything without reasons.’

Then, they withdrew all the vital power and energy from the hero’s body. This would be the final move. ’The first-level Soul Eaters technique uses infernal laws. In the second, Yin is added, and from the third onward, the power of bloodline is the most important.’ (Chapter 171)

’Power of the soul.’ Their lips moved slightly, and with a snort, their eyes changed completely to black. It was a demonic mental technique.

’Infernal laws, hmm... it’s almost the same.’ They murmured, and in the center of the black eyes, a Yin rune appeared. Immediately, all the Yin Energy in the universe moved towards them.

’Bloodline... this much we have is useless, but...’ The entire body of the hero trembled, and the bestial power exploded in their muscles. They used the principle of physical cultivation to circulate the bloodline power of the demon beasts in the body, and it seemed to adapt well.

’The ingredients are set, only missing something to bind it all, what would that be... of course, the most powerful thing I have: My life and my soul.’ They murmured, sighing lightly.

In an instant, they closed their eyes again, focused, and then the black flame retreated back into their bodies. The golden power advanced, wrapping around them like a venomous serpent hunting its prey. Cracks began to appear in their forms, but within seconds, all progress halted; the laws of the universe froze.

Alm and Bruno had the impression that something deep from their souls merged with the power that was being born. It felt like a subtle and unknown energy, but both instinctively managed to move it and add it. It was very quick and subtle... so much so that both thought it had been their will, or perhaps the power of their souls; after all, they were still learning how to use their souls. It was at that moment that their eyes opened.

The golden silhouette silently observed the transformations, aware of its limitations in that state. Its only weapon was its golden power, and now it was already being used to its limit. Then, a deep feeling emerged in the golden eyes, shimmering with disbelief.

Suddenly, she shifted her gaze to the horizon. In a bewildering shock, she felt something distant, something beyond the senses of any being vibrating... it came from outside the universe.

’The heavenly energies are responding?!’ she thought in disbelief. Turning her eyes to the figure before her… she felt something terrifying—an unparalleled power stemming from the law of the origim of everything. Not even she could manipulate it perfectly. ’Is this using that power?! Did he create this now?’

Suddenly, in an extremely distant place, in another universe, the body of the true queen, who was meditating in silence, curved her lips, and a light laughter emerged. It was a peculiar excitement, something she hadn’t felt in a long time and thought she was incapable of feeling again.

Back to the battle, the golden silhouette spoke in an animated tone. "Wonderful, I will deal with you seriously next time. I look forward to plucking every inch of you and turning you into a part of me."

"Next time, you will only feel my blade at your throat." Alm and Bruno responded, raising their fists high.

BOOM!

Every corner of the universe seemed to hear the world on the brink of collapse as the cosmos cracked like colossal spiderwebs.

"Eclipsing Divinity!"

The cry of the name of their new technique resonated in the ears of all forms of life, echoing like a whisper of two intertwined shadows. Their strengths intertwined in a duality, opposing and, at the same time, complementary.

Their fists moved in synchrony with all of time, space, and universal laws. A celestial rift eclipsed the world, seeming not only capable of killing gods but also of splitting the heavens. There was no sound, no divine light; only an oppressive feeling, as if it were the end of the world, swept away all the golden power of existence like it were the flame of a fragile and insignificant candle.

The entire body of the hero disintegrated into less than dust as a result of that strike. A mortal body could not even dream of withstanding it, and the blow could only be used because the hero was at the peak of mortal cultivation, very close to breaking into something divine. Even so, the effectiveness of the blow was less than 1%.

All the light in the world went out for a few seconds, engulfing the world in darkness. But, after the storm came the calm, and all forms of life felt something inside their bodies loosen. The queen’s influence was temporarily severed, and relief spread through everyone, even without understanding the reason. It was as if a benevolent god had purged evil from the world.

Rhug and all who were fallen and incredulous rose in shock, unable to comprehend what they had witnessed up close. It was in that second that Rhug felt a gaze that made his body freeze, so he looked up and saw a figure descending slowly.

It was clearly a humanoid soul of a human. But... just looking at it made his heart beat frantically, and his own soul begged him to bow. He was convinced that he was in the presence of a god who looked at everyone coldly.

That soul looked back at him expressionlessly, then turned in a direction, descending upon that world, and a message reached Rhug’s mind. ’This is the last time we will see each other. Take good care of Malieka and your son. He is special, and it took a lot of effort to create him.’

Rhug petrified in disbelief; that... was the little dog... Lord Cerberus? He thought, stunned.

Inside the bone building, Malieka still slept soundly, but her face twisted slightly as the divine soul approached her side. Her soul seemed to instinctively sense that presence.

’I have no QI, and my soul is exhausted... maybe...’ He thought but stopped when he felt a gentle power penetrate and split his consciousness.

The entire body of the divine soul suddenly lit up. Then, as if by a strange magic trick, he was separated, and two souls of opposite poles emerged with crossed glances. It was only at this moment that Alm and Bruno realized that they were united as one again before. And now, they were two again.

’That’s strange and abnormal. Feeling this weird inclination of yours is a bit disgusting.’ Alm dryly commented, turning toward Malieka.

Bruno smiled strangely. It was a short period, but he felt that, united now, they were totally different from the time when they were the villain who exterminated life in a universe.

’Well, with two pairs of arms, it gets simpler. Maybe that’s why Heaven’s Will separated us.’ Bruno spoke lightly. And Alm just grumbled, considering it senseless nonsense.

Alm converted the little of his soul power to manipulate the formation, while Bruno focused on the hero’s soul that he trapped with the demon technique in the inventory a short time ago. As Bruno commented, dividing the task into parts saved a lot of energy and made everything simpler. Both Alm and Bruno had rooted in them this lesson; alone, they were great, but with reliable help, they could accomplish things more easily and go further.

In a few minutes, all the laws of the universe, already shaken, vibrated. Another divine soul was born into the world!

[Congratulations, main quest accomplished.]

Alm and Bruno read the message on the green screen in front of them without much emotion. They were completely exhausted, at the limit of their energies. Even a soul could suffer from overwork, and a divine-level fight, mainly using the soul, was something new to them.

Thousands of celestial runes sprouted around them. Dozens of them multiplied into hundreds and then into thousands. Bruno looked at Alm, who felt the divine soul in Malieka’s belly. Soon, Alm moved, and Bruno smiled, moving along.

Both placed their hands on Malieka’s belly and closed their eyes. Inside the deeply sleeping divine soul, two Yin and Yang runes appeared. In them, there was a flood of different things; that was a divine soul of the same level as them. Leaving it like that would be a waste, so they gave the greatest gift they could give: knowledge.

When the two sighed and withdrew their hands, their consciousness darkened, and both completely faded away, as if they had fallen into a deep sleep. That was the end of the main quest.
