After freeing all the demons and demonic beasts from the golden restraints, the order was given for everyone to gather into a single unit. This time, a more detailed explanation of the situation, the location they were in, and the fate of all the surrounding dead bones and Yin was provided to everyone.

Alm spoke everything in the wildest way possible, but to Bruno’s surprise, it seemed that it didn’t negatively affect them. The demons even seemed to like a leader with these strange characteristics. And some female demonic beasts even looked at them in a disturbing way.

At Bruno’s insistence, Alm sent everyone out to see with their own eyes the surroundings and evidence. They didn’t want to lead just by force; that was something fragile. So, after three days, everyone was back, completely convinced of what Lord Cerberus had told them. They were completely willing to fight for their lives, not to save themselves or seek revenge, but to end this slaughterfield.

Demons were not hypocrites; doing this kind of thing was common for them. If they weren’t strong enough to defend themselves, it was their fault. So, they wanted to fight to prove themselves, and now they had a commander to guide them.

After that, Alm and Bruno selected demons and demonic beasts with the most powerful bloodlines. Six of each were chosen and named the generals. The fanciful story that they received an awakening from a pure Cerberus to save them, similar to the one Bruno told Malieka, was replicated for this select group. This made it easier for them to admit that they didn’t know much about demonic beasts and demons, as they had lived as humans all the time before. Then, very specific orders were given to everyone.

The next day, Alm and Bruno returned to the cave where Malieka and Rhug were. After four days, they judged it had been enough time for the two. When they entered the cave, they felt two bodies stuck together, looking dead, fallen and completely devoid of energy in a closed room.

Without hesitation, they entered the room and separated the two, who were barely breathing. The pills were too effective, and they could feel inside Malieka’s belly a small set of cells multiplying rapidly.

’We don’t have months available to wait for her to gestate slowly; we have to expedite this,’ Bruno spoke softly and focused on using his life Yang to the maximum.

They saved a lot of crystals after learning how to use the bloodline so they could burn a bit. Now Bruno could finally use his specialty, and Malieka’s entire body was filled with Yang Energy without contaminating her demonic power. With the support of the pills they had taken before, in one day, her belly already had a small protrusion, and a fetus that should have been between two to three months was already there.

Neither Malieka nor Rhug showed any signs of waking up yet. And now the fetus was developed enough to connect with the soul, so they didn’t hesitate; they linked the soul from the inventory directly to the body, not giving a chance for the formation on the ground to feel the existence of a free soul.

Two days later, the two new parents woke up together and found themselves in a large rustic building made of bones. They were horrified to realize they were not in their cave and felt the presence of overwhelming numbers nearby. Both ran together through empty corridors and found a window.

Outside, they froze, watching hundreds of demons and demonic beasts together, motionless. The beasts were in their human form, side by side with humanoid demons, as if meditating together. In the center, an imposing figure observed them with its two heads.

Then, a voice echoed in the minds of Malieka and Rhug. ’Mother, it’s good to stay calm and take care of my brother in peace.’ Both heard the voice of the Cerberus in their minds, and only then did they turn their gazes, astonished, to the small protrusion in the demoness’s belly.

It didn’t take long for Alm and Bruno to gather the two with the generals and align the stories. They assured them that their son was alive and would be born healthy, leaving both shaken. Rhug quickly got excited and joined the others in training when he learned they were preparing for a final fight.

The entire building was constructed with the help of everyone, gathering all the available bones in the region. It was a dreadful construction worthy of horror tales, but the death Yin in it was so dense that it would isolate the interior from distant kings, hiding what was happening inside. Malieka received dozens of pills and was forced to stay in an internal location on the pretext that it would be best for her child. The place was completely covered with the purest Qi possible, extracted from the spiritual crystals.

With the groundwork laid, Alm and Bruno focused on preparing to face the kings. One week had already passed, and they had three more until the new batch arrived and the kings went out for the contest. The kings couldn’t attack directly, but when they noticed the anomaly, they certainly wouldn’t hold back. Living in a separate place from this world, they would have Qi in their bodies to use, making everything even more dangerous, as the Cerberus’ body was virtually mortal now.

Initially, there weren’t many options available other than trying to surprise them, using everything they had in a single move to eliminate them. However, upon considering and accepting that this was the path, both Alm and Bruno felt the bitter sensation of death looming over their heads. Their instincts, the most reliable things they possessed, clearly indicated that this plan had no chance of success.

One week passed, and the two were seriously trying to find a solution. With no answers in sight, Alm decided to gather the twelve generals and, with low expectations, asked about any additional knowledge they could share.

Without any major discoveries, as they now had the body of a demonic beast, they could use some specific techniques for beasts, so he asked them to teach everything they could. Regarding demons, there was a lingering doubt between both. Cerberus was not a demon, but there seemed to be a connection between them, so they also received all techniques from both sides.

Obviously, these techniques were not linked to specific bloodlines. Still, as they had always lived as humans, they never bothered to study anything of the sort. The only demon technique they knew was the one they learned from Langrum, which was just something elementary and basic.

Two days passed, and it was enough for Alm and Bruno to completely understand everything they were taught. Then, they tried using these techniques, without consuming any Qi, just out of curiosity. Both were shocked to realize that the Cerberus bloodline seemed to allow them to use everything easily; so, out of curiosity, they asked for the most specific techniques from the generals’ bloodlines.

In one day, the Cerberus was radiating a subtle, indescribable demonic aura. With a sigh, everyone could feel something resembling a bestial atmosphere permeating that imposing Lord Cerberus.

’This bloodline can replace both demon and other beast bloodlines to use their techniques,’ Bruno commented somewhat seriously. ’It’s not very useful in battle; we can’t even use 1% of the real power. But now we fully understand, in theory and in practice, the demonic and bestial power.’

Alm fell into thoughtful silence. After a few seconds, he spoke, ’This seems to be the key to the system for us when asking to unite the races. Surely, we can do something big with this.’

And so, the days passed, and on a beautiful day just like all the others within that eternal twilight, at the extreme east and west, space twisted, and two gigantic figures calmly emerged: the two kings. At the same time, in the sky, two spatial rifts opened; it was the new batch of individuals captured. The final showdown between the kings was finally beginning.
