A giant shadow of a Cerberus ran silently at an extreme speed, covering all places and observing all movements. The entire world was the size of a city with over two thousand kilometers. In the center of everything, there was a large concentration of bones and Yin of death, clearly indicating the kings’ preference for fighting in that region.

A little further from this death zone, at opposite points, there were two small areas made of bones, where demons and divine beasts were concentrated after being abducted to this place. Alm and Bruno stealthily watched as thousands of them were confused and extremely worried about their fates.

’Considering the number of people we saw fighting before, I think it’s not yet their time to fight again. The kings must be waiting for the next batch,’ Bruno commented hopefully and turned, running in another direction.

The remote region where the demoness took refuge was at the extreme south, near the edge of this place. Exploring the surroundings and approaching the far east and west, they felt the spatial laws slightly dissonant from the rest, as if something hidden from the rest existed there. In those places was where the two kings lived.

’Who would want to live a long time in a dead and unpleasant place like this? There must be a small region where they can have a comfortable life while occasionally going out for the contest,’ Alm said sarcastically.

’Even better, the space between this place and where they live should be separate. This contest has been going on for hundreds of years; they probably don’t waste time watching the cattle that will be sacrificed,’ Bruno murmured, relieved. ’If we make a move, we’ll have time until they notice.’

They then moved toward one of those large concentrations of newly arrived demons. It happened as Malieka had said it happened to her; without any explanation, demons grouped into similar or known races and began exploring the place. But it wouldn’t take long for some groups to encounter the demonic beasts, and a fight would break out.

From the top of a hill, the Cerberus saw two opposing groups approaching dangerously while contemplating the next move.

’Just freeing them won’t solve it; we have to unite them,’ Alm calmly commented. ’There’s no way to get them out of this place, and we have to attract the kings to be able to kill them. It’ll be easier to let them fight each other for a bit, and when we act, we’ll save a portion of them.’

’We can prevent them from dying. If we do nothing, the responsibility will be ours, and the system will surely deduct performance points,’ Bruno quickly responded. ’The problem is how to convince them.’

Alm then spoke dryly, ’That’s not a problem; they are demons and demonic beasts. Strength is the only thing they recognize. But the cost will be high, and we’ll lose our lifeline needlessly by doing this.’

’I’d rather do the right thing. The quest rewards should compensate for the spiritual crystals we’ll lose. And we still need to test this.’ Bruno said but was also bleeding mentally.

The moment was tense and filled with a sinister atmosphere. As the two groups approached, about a hundred individuals of various demons and demonic beast races— an impressive diversity of sizes and shapes—looked with concern at the dreadful ground covered in bones, where death seemed a constant presence.

When they spotted each other, the initial surprise was replaced by instinctive caution, given the confusion lingering in the environment. However, within seconds, something changed drastically. As if the threads controlling their bodies had been cut, a transformation took over. What was once caution turned into a violent frenzy in the eyes of those present, contrasting with the sacred golden glow of a single rune.

A collective roar echoed, and every one advanced, seemingly disregarding any notion of self-preservation. As they were about to collide, a wave of power swept through their midst, knocking them all to the ground in a stunned state. Black dust rose, revealing their twisted forms and eyes still immersed in an uncontrollable killing intent.

At this critical moment, four red eyes lit up in the middle of the black mist. Moving from above, these eyes cast a gaze that chilled the hearts of all, leading some to extreme cases of despair. The environment became as icy as the deepest abyss, and when the dust settled, everyone saw the majestic appearance of a supreme demonic being with two heads. It exuded an invincible imperial dominance, as if the very heavens bowed before its presence.

Everyone remained on the ground, unable to move a muscle, as the golden runes in their eyes trembled as if struggling to survive. In an instant, one of the heads snorted with disdain, its eyes shining even more sinisterly. From the looks of it, the will of this beast seemed strong enough to affect the physical plane. Even without being able to control the bodies properly, everyone felt their hearts beating violently, as if the blade of death hung over their necks.

CRACK!

A muffled sound echoed from somewhere among them, followed by a dozen similar sounds, and then a hundred. In a matter of seconds, the air around them was filled with a cloud of golden dust emanating from their bodies, evaporating the restrictions and providing momentary relief and freedom. However, this relief quickly dissipated as they faced the gigantic Cerberus before them, like a demonic god looking down with disdain at mortals.

Due to the fear and overwhelming presence, no one dared to question the fact that the creature had only two heads instead of three.

’As expected... The Emperor’s Dominion Technique, against them who lack any QI in their bodies, is something completely lethal and indefensible,’ Bruno spoke calmly. ’It finally proved useful, besides merging with the Devouring God Spatial Technique.’

’We lost thousands of spiritual crystals we had in the inventory as fuel just in this move. If we use this on everyone, we’ll lose everything we stole from the city...’ Alm lamented.

Bruno then sighed, feeling the same pain. ’We’ll find a way to deal with the hero and the kings without it... I think.’
