In the heart of the desert, amidst a furious sandstorm, the air suddenly froze, accompanied by a slight earthquake that caused the land to rise. Two powerful and sharp horns emerged alongside a gigantic creature with a bull’s head, radiating a frenzied power and advancing as if it wanted to destroy the very space in front of it.

Endowed with cultivation in the early stages of the Heaven Stage, the monster cursed its inability to fully utilize its spiritual root to fly. However, its physical power was overwhelming, to the point that no patriarch dared to face it directly.

In a matter of seconds, the beast closed in on the large group of ants, identifying a round ant that provoked its extreme hatred. The entire desert became cold and tense, even in broad daylight. The whale turned its gaze to confront it as the beast advanced rapidly. It was then that the small ant on the shoulder of the big round ant opened its eyes, radiating a golden power that suddenly froze the spiritual root of the beast.

BOOM!

The round figure exploded in power, hovering over the land beneath its feet. The beast grinned bloodily, but its expression soon turned stunned as the round figure arrived in front of it at a speed identical to its own. Suddenly, a black sword appeared in the hands of the whale, emanating power resembling black flames.

CRACK!!

The physical body was the beast’s greatest asset and the biggest source of confidence in its battle. Thus, it never imagined being injured by something seemingly so weak. A sound of something breaking echoed above its head, and even without feeling any pain, the beast turned upward, witnessing its left horn flying and being grabbed by the whale, making it disappear. Its horn was extremely tough but certainly much less tough than its body.

In the air, the whale turned, casting a malicious, mocking smile. It all happened in a second, and when the sudden realization hit, fire and lightning runes exploded at a great distance. The nearby group soared in a burst of energy, fleeing like a missile at extreme speed. When the beast grasped the situation, the whale was already running across the land with all its might.

ROOOOOOOOAR!

The beast’s roar made the entire desert tremble, and its furious pursuit could be felt even by the patriarchs within the world of evil cultivators. The whale ran, using its entire physical body and burning the remaining trace of Qi to manipulate the laws of the earth. Its speed was nearly equal to that of the beast, and a chase ensued for half an hour until they finally reached the city, swiftly entering.

Only the beast’s roars echoed outside the gates, and everyone saw the whale arrive, breathing heavily, with Ruri extremely tired but still satisfied and excited.

"Master, this time, he must be spitting blood in anger," Ruri said, laughing.

The whale stood up and walked calmly through the city. "We got some good material. The angrier he gets, the safer the city will be."

Quickly, all the inhabitants were surprised by the group’s swift return. Everyone was working to shape the city in harmony with nature, and when the new residents saw their new home, they were amazed. Everyone was quickly accommodated.

The whale spent a day in the city, focusing on forging a spear with the collected bone. The bone was refined, and only the hardest part remained, serving as the base of the spear. Then, they felt safe using the dragon glass they obtained on the fifth level of the prison as the spearhead.

It was an extremely challenging treasure to use, and although they failed in the first attempt to shape the glass, they succeeded in the second, with half remaining for future use. Next, a runic storage seal was created, and Almin received the spear with great enthusiasm, depositing his black flames on the seal. His spears no longer matched the level of his techniques, and he was seriously considering asking the whale for something, but it wasn’t necessary anymore as the whale had just delivered what he wanted.

Langrum took her time to free her slaves, still quite hesitant. The next day, the whale gathered everyone to leave, and Langrum was the last to arrive. Alm couldn’t control himself and muttered while looking at her.

"A last intense farewell?" He spoke, but clearly felt no Yang coming from her.

Langrum trembled, clenching her fists in anger, and sighed, seeing Loeus’s doubtful look; he was still too innocent. "Shut up, whale. Do you want me to teach Ruri more about the world of adults, too?"

Alm snorted in response. "There is no need. She is as knowledgeable as you in this matter, even if she has never had that experience before."

Langrum looked at Ruri, and to her surprise, her eyes seemed to fully understand everything they said. Ruri threatened to say something, but the whale cut her off and turned to leave, knowing that no good would come from that conversation.

The group then quickly departed, knowing that together, it would be impossible for the beast to catch up with them. In half a day, at full speed, they returned to Dark Night City.

The elder was astonished when she heard what happened. A bloodthirsty fury surged within her, so they simply told her to sell everything quickly without worrying, and mention that they were the suppliers. The elder was surprised but accepted the proposal. To the whale’s lack of surprise, the demand for those weapons was staggering. In less than two days, everything was sold.

They promised to deliver more later, suggesting waiting for the demand to grow for more profit. The group then headed to Celestial Abyss City, taking advantage of the fact that no elder could foresee their return in a few days. They had acquired the pass that allowed them to spend five days in the prison as well as be able to choose any time to start. With that, they decided to spend all five available days in prison at once.

They entered quickly, aware that the news would spread. However, they didn’t care, considering it was too early for the high elders to act, and they didn’t know how long the group would stay there.

They headed to the third level and returned to the same cave. Langrum had some hope of finding her master, but the cave was completely empty. It didn’t take long for the whale to gather everyone and burn all twenty million abyss crystals they earned selling their weapons.

The QI was poured into the cave, which was sealed with the laws of the earth. Inside the prison was the best place for them to cultivate; everyone could absorb the QI until it almost broke the level, and then they would go out to look for opponents to fight and understand with their entire bodies the breakthrough. In three days, Langrum broke through to the ninth level. Then she joined Almin and the others and explored the outer area of the third level, confident to face opponents, as the stronger beasts had been eliminated by them.

The whale became increasingly bitter with the staggering amount of QI needed to advance. On the fourth day, they finally reached the ninth level of the Foundation Establishment, and immediately extreme phenomena were felt by them from the outside.

Quickly, Langrum and Almin returned to the cave, completely injured but excited. They were one step away from breaking through. In a short time, Ruri and Loeus were amazed watching the QI around those two change from gaseous to liquid. Almin and Langrum absorbed it slowly; in a few hours, their bodies made a loud noise, and great uncontrolled power emanated from them, felt by everyone. A core was formed in both perfectly; they were officially at the Elemental level of the Core Formation Realm.

Almin’s appearance immediately softened, with the new life energy replenishing his body. He took a deep breath, trying to control his emotions, and realized that Langrum was equally excited by his side.

A disciple of the sect was usually accepted at the beginning of the Foundation Establishment, but only after a hundred or two hundred years would one in a thousand manage to rise to the next realm. Langrum had done it... in less than a year... that was completely abnormal. Almin thought something similar, and both glanced extremely grateful at the whale meditating with closed eyes.

’Langrum should advance through the realms at least five times faster than Almin... but all our effort to level up was thrown into Almin, and he advanced along with her. Damn Array!’ Alm grumbled mentally.

Suddenly, another light and muffled sound echoed through the cave, and the whale’s brows furrowed. Ruri had advanced to the seventh level of the Qi Gathering Realm, while only admiringly watching Almin and Langrum. Alm felt as if he had taken another slap in the face. Well, the only reason she couldn’t advance several times faster was her undeveloped body. Simply put, she was still too young.

With exactly half an hour left before the end of the five days, all the QI in the cave was absorbed, with almost 80% used by Alm and Bruno. The whale then opened its eyes, sighing. They had managed, just barely, to reach the limit of the ninth level of the Foundation Establishment Realm.

’It was only about 10 times more QI than necessary,’ Alm said sarcastically.

’Well, now we just need the side quest to appear,’ Bruno sighed, equally frustrated. They waited for a bit, but the system didn’t communicate with them, leaving them quite irritated. Then, Bruno had a strange thought.

’According to the memories of an elder, there is a city to the north of the continent where rare Yang herbs exist. In his memories, the city is managed by Alchemists who cultivate these herbs very carefully, and it’s a good place to visit...’

Alm heard that and just got more irritated. ’We’ve discussed this before. Why the hell are you repeating it!?’

[Side Quest Available 01]

Bruno laughed excitedly, seeing the green screen in front of them, and quickly responded, checking the mission.
