An explosive laughter reverberated throughout the surroundings. It was Anzo, laughing uncontrollably.

"Youngsters, I used to be someone hot-blooded like you in the past. But I learned not to let myself be carried away." Anzo laughed, looking at everyone. "Well, it’s over now; you could barely suppress me, and now you won’t leave here alive."

The elder was completely confident in defeating these youngsters, even though he was injured and now without Qi. The difference in realms was large enough for him to fight just with his body. What did these foolish youngsters think they were going to do? He thought.

He contemplated the look of extreme humiliation on their faces and, about to laugh again, stopped when he sensed a sharp tension in the air. Fifteen spears and swords seemed to synchronize with the laws, and even the air touching the skin felt cutting.

Three of them immediately advanced towards him, and he found it amusing when a green woman charged with her giant black sword. However, three meters away from him, a black flame enveloped the blade, and he instinctively felt that if it touched him, it would split him in half. A jolt of shock ran through him, but before he could react, a little girl and a man dressed in black were already by his side. Both exhibited unbelievable speed and in an instant, thousands of runes were unleashed, flying in his direction. Then, two palms formed by earth laws advanced in opposite directions and firmly imprisoned his body.

At this moment, the elder understood that he could no longer afford to play around. The three opponents had the real ability to kill him. His spatial ring radiated intensely while simultaneously, his entire body lit up with a coppery hue.

BOOM!

The black sword descended upon him, and the sound of metal clashing and the earth breaking under Anzo resonated violently. Wearing a complete set of armor, the elder stood firm, sporting a challenging smile. However, an intense heat enveloped him, and violet lines appeared in his eyes.

WHOOSH!!

A pillar of dark red flames soared into the sky, and in less than a second, the elder screamed in extreme agony. The flames penetrated his body, and the curse seeped into his mind. Despite the intense suffering, his lament was quickly muffled as the air was cut from all directions. Ten spears violently pierced every crevice in the armor, and before even feeling death, five swords joined in a precise strike, sending his head flying away.

From the moment the runic seals were activated to the end, only five seconds had passed. An elder, with an entire realm above them, was killed. However, none of them celebrated; they knew they had greatly disappointed the giant round being. Now, they all turned and felt dozens of beastly presences advancing on the village from the sea.

In the dark underground, the whale stopped descending the stairs and brutally tore through the earth, opening a hole in a straight line. His eyes were already fully illuminated with the activation of his bloodline while his face was tense.

’These bastards! I’ve said so many times to attack to kill without hesitation. They wanted to feel powerful? Almin, wait for me later, you shitty leader!’ Alm ranted to himself, aware that he couldn’t trigger the array to convey his frustrations, as Ruri would hear his curses directed at Almin with full intensity.

’The marine beasts invaded the village!’ Bruno reported, focused on sensing the surface. ’Loeus managed to gather all the villagers in time and is leading them to the base.’

’At least the boy didn’t disappoint us! He’s already well ahead.’ Alm commented, separating two mounds of earth and revealing a spacious cavern.

The scent of blood mixed with the characteristic essence of demonic blood permeated the air. They spotted five bodies strewn in one corner, while in the center of the cave, five shadows chained by runes writhed in extreme pain and agony, without making any sound. They were the poor souls being refined by the formation; with no one here, this process would take days, so these men manipulated the formation to accelerate the refinement.

In the first level below the ground, there was a prison where dozens of villagers awaited their turn to be refined. These had already been released, and Loeus had led them away. As for these here... they were being completely torn apart slowly and painfully.

’The souls of four of them are in good condition for reincarnation, but the last one is around 70% damaged. We can only alleviate its suffering.’ Alm spoke dryly and, with a punch, broke the chains that imprisoned them.

All four souls closed their eyes and floated silently, as if immersed in a deep sleep. Only one soul that existed in small pieces floated alone. Then, a light enveloped them, starting to make them disappear. However, at this moment, the whale’s Yang tattoo lit up, and a violet power joined, enveloping that poor, unredeemable soul.

’What are you doing?’ Alm asked dryly.

Bruno drew the soul wrapped in these powers and placed it in the spatial inventory. ’I don’t know what we’ll do, but if we let it disappear, it will die forever. After dealing with this, maybe we can do something.’

’What a waste of time and energy.’ Alm retorted, turning to a corner of the cave and running. The cavern was immense, and they ran as thunderous sounds echoed from above, making the earth tremble.

Bruno then analyzed the sky. ’They’re already engaged in a bitter fight... most of the marine beasts are in the early stages of the Foundation Establishment Realm, but there’s a leader in the first level of the Core Formation Realm. And... I sense something even stronger observing from the sea; we need to go back quickly!’

At top speed, they arrived in twenty seconds at a point completely covered by runes, as if it were a black and red sea. ’We don’t have time.’ Alm snorted, and their three extreme powers emerged and merged again into a golden aura.

They had initially planned to collect all these runes, but for that, they needed to carefully remove them from the formation and put them in the inventory one by one; the level of this formation was immensely higher than that of the Divinestone clan. They would be extremely useful for cultivation, but the situation was chaotic. They shot like a golden cannonball, penetrating the sea of runes. Soon, the dense and powerful Qi among the runes reverberated, but they were just runes without consciousness to utilize that power.

In a matter of seconds, the runes exploded while Alm and Bruno seemed to want to shed tears. So much cultivation energy was lost with their destruction... Then, they came across an almost round black mass about a meter wide.

’Definitely a high-level demonic metal,’ Alm sighed and, without delay, placed it directly in the inventory.

On the surface, everyone was covered in blood, not knowing if it was theirs or from the dozens of giant bodies scattered all around. At this point in the desperate fight, the fifteen women were roaring violently and slashing; their eyes were completely black, and Yin power exploded with each of their strikes.

Between the village and the sea, Langrum, covered in scales with both her bloodlines activated to the max, attacked a gigantic sea serpent. Each of her blows used all her power, but only superficial scratches appeared on the sea beast. The beast tried to counterattack, but fire runes exploded violently on its body, and even a minimal burn caused indescribable pain.

It was a sea creature in the first level of the Core Formation Realm and could easily sweep both of them away with a move based on its water laws, but the two fought, keeping it at bay and protecting a small ant standing still. This little ant stared piercingly at it, and on its forehead, a rune was activated, seeming to eclipse all the light of the world.

The sea beast tried to use water laws, but always lost control of the runes once they left its body. It attempted to use Qi in a brute force manner, but even Qi lost much of its effectiveness. That ant looked like a tiny divine fairy staring in its direction and disarming it, as if the heavens took from it and gave everything to her without hesitation.
