Xiaojin’s brief explanation of the situation was a show of respect for Lin Qi—or more accurately, for Liu Xuan.

It was a deliberate signal meant to inform Liu Xuan of Jin Yuanxi’s eagerness to court United Pharmaceutical.

Giving special clearance, letting the pretty boy meet up with his rich benefactor sooner, was a favor in itself.

With that said, Xiaojin exited Lin Qi’s Floating Vehicle. A moment later, the vehicle was granted clearance to pass.

After Xiaojin left, Brother Green Hair’s expression became a bit strange.

The Floating Vehicle resumed its journey, arriving at the Liu’s Heavy Industry Branch a short while later.

They were about twenty minutes behind schedule.

He entered the branch office and, following a familiar path, soon reached the secure conference room.

Liu Xuan had been waiting for some time.

"Was there an incident on your way here? Are you all right?"

"I’m fine. Someone attacked one of Jin Yuanxi’s properties. It looked like some kind of indiscriminate attack, a show of force."

Hearing this, Liu Xuan breathed a sigh of relief.

But then she gave Lin Qi a suspicious look.
