Chapter 693: Chapter 693- Azure Sect under Attack
The morning came with fire in the sky.
Not sunlight. Not the golden dawn that had warmed the Azure Cloud Sect’s marble rooftops for eight centuries. This fire was hostile. Four pillars of spiritual light descended from the clouds, striking the mountain peak like divine spears, the impact sending tremors through the entire compound. Stone cracked. Formation diagrams flickered. The spirit-plum trees in the inner garden shed their blossoms in a single, violent shudder.
Jin Wuchen was already in the sky when they landed.
His enormous frame hovered above the main courtyard, his peak Golden Core energy radiating outward in a visible golden aura. His formal sect leader robes were hastily donned, the jade-green and white silk slightly askew, the sash tied in a rushed knot. His dark eyes were heavy with sleeplessness. His square jaw was set. His hands were behind his back, the fingers clenched.
Behind him, the four elders rose. Biyu, Hanlin, Suwen, Tianqing. Their Golden Core auras blazed, the combined spiritual pressure creating a defensive wall. Below them, in the courtyard, hundreds of disciples gathered in formation, their faces tight with fear, their weapons drawn.
The four sect leaders descended.
The first was Sect Leader Zhao Kuang of the Iron Mountain Sect. A tall, lean man with a narrow face and a thin mustache, his cultivation at peak Golden Core. His robes were dark iron-gray, the fabric reinforced with metallic threads. His spiritual pressure was sharp, cutting, the energy carrying the harsh edge of a body-tempering cultivator.
The second was Sect Leader Wang Deyu of the Jade River Sect. A portly man with a round face and small eyes, his cultivation at peak Golden Core. His robes were deep blue, the silk embroidered with river patterns. His spiritual pressure was fluid, heavy, the energy rolling like a flood.
The third was Sect Leader Han Tianxiao of the Blazing Sword Sect. A scarred man with a shaved head and a thick neck, his cultivation at peak Golden Core. His robes were crimson, the fabric marked with sword-qi burns. His spiritual pressure was aggressive, hot, the energy carrying the unmistakable scent of combustion.
The fourth was Madam Fengyan.
She descended last. Her body landed on the jade courtyard with a grace that belied her anger. Her robes were formal, dark red and gold, the Phoenix Tribe Sect’s colors. Her hair was up, secured with golden pins, the dark strands pulled tight. Her face was composed. Beautiful. Cold. The face of a woman who had been humiliated and had come to destroy the evidence.
Her cultivation radiated. Peak Golden Core. The same as Jin Wuchen. The same as the other three. But her energy was different. Denser. Heavier. As though something had recently fed it, expanded it, pushed it past a bottleneck that had held her for decades.
She had broken through. Somewhere, in the days since the cave, she had broken through to peak Golden Core. The breakthrough had come not through meditation, not through pills, not through decades of disciplined cultivation. It had come through divine qi. Through the cum that Tianlong had pumped into her body. Through the divine seed that had flooded her dantian and catalyzed her advancement.
She stood with the other three, her dark eyes scanning the Azure Cloud Sect compound. Her gaze found the cracked dungeon entrance. Found the scorch marks on the courtyard. Found the remnants of the purple-gold signal that had blazed from the mountain peak.
She did not look at Jin Wuchen. She looked past him. Her eyes searched the compound, the buildings, the corridors. Searching for something. Someone.
’He’s here. That bastard is here. The one who stuck me in a rock. The one who fucked me for a day. The one whose cum is still leaking from my body if I don’t hold my core tight.’
’He’s here, and the Azure Cloud Sect is harboring him.’
’Good. Then the Azure Cloud Sect will burn. And every witness to my humiliation will burn with it.’
"Where is it?" Zhao Kuang’s voice cut through the morning air. Sharp. Demanding. The voice of a man who had marched an army to someone else’s door and expected answers. "The artifact of the Heavenly Sovereign Founder. We know it is here."
Jin Wuchen’s dark eyes narrowed. His enormous frame shifted in the air, his peak Golden Core energy pressing forward against the combined pressure of four peak Golden Core cultivators. The sky groaned. The clouds split.
"What nonsense is this?" Jin Wuchen’s deep voice thundered. "There is no such artifact in the Azure Cloud Sect. Our founder, the Ascended Patriarch Jin Yunxuan, ascended to the upper realms four hundred years ago. He left no artifact. He left his teachings, his formation arrays, and his legacy. Nothing more."
"Lies," Wang Deyu said. His portly body shifted, his blue robes rippling. His small eyes were hard. "The signal that erupted from your sect three days ago carried the energy signature of a Heavenly Sovereign artifact. We detected it. Every sect in the central region detected it. You cannot hide it."
"That signal," Jin Wuchen said, his jaw tightening, "was not of our making. An intruder was present. A being who called himself an ancestor. He has since departed. The signal was his doing, not ours."
"An ancestor?" Han Tianxiao laughed. The sound was rough, grating, the laugh of a man who found excuses amusing. "You expect us to believe that an ancestor descended to your sect, sent a signal, and then left? And you didn’t give him anything? Didn’t receive anything?"
"I gave him nothing," Jin Wuchen said.
The lie was smooth. Practiced. The voice of a sect leader who had spent decades navigating political waters. But his spiritual pressure wavered. A fraction. A tremor in his Golden Core energy that the four sect leaders detected immediately.
"He’s lying," Madam Fengyan said. Her voice was cold. Precise. The first words she had spoken. "The ancestor is still here. I can feel the residual qi. It saturates this entire mountain. He has been here for days."
Her dark eyes found Jin Wuchen’s face. The hatred in them was not for him. It was for the being who had humiliated her. But Jin Wuchen was the obstacle. The wall between her and her revenge. And walls could be broken.
"Search the sect," she said. "Tear it apart stone by stone if necessary. Find the artifact."
Jin Wuchen’s energy surged. His peak Golden Core aura blazed, the golden light intensifying. "You will not set foot in my sect. The Azure Cloud Sect will not be searched by outsiders. Not while I stand."
"Then you stand alone," Zhao Kuang said.
The sky darkened. Not from clouds. From bodies. From cultivators. From thousands of them.
They rose from behind the mountain ridges. From the valleys. From the forests. Iron Mountain Sect disciples in gray. Jade River Sect disciples in blue. Blazing Sword Sect disciples in crimson. Phoenix Tribe Sect disciples in dark red and gold. Wave after wave after wave, their spiritual energies combining into a single, massive pressure that descended on the Azure Cloud Sect like a falling sky.
Hundreds. Then thousands. The army filled the horizon, the cultivators hovering in formation, their weapons drawn, their faces set. The combined spiritual pressure of ten thousand cultivators pressed down on the Azure Cloud Sect compound. The formation diagrams on the walls cracked. The jade tiles on the courtyard floor split. The spirit-plum trees in the garden bent.
Jin Wuchen’s dark eyes widened. The color drained from his face.
"What is the meaning of this?" His deep voice carried a tremor. The first tremor his elders had ever heard from him. "Are you trying to destroy my Azure Cloud Sect?"
