Chapter 360: Chapter 325: The Janitor’s Work (Part 3)

As if sensing Wen Ying’s disgust, the cafeteria employee dropped to his knees.

"Don’t kill me, don’t kill me! I really did my best."

"Alright, get up. Is there any other simple food that humans can eat?"

"Yes, yes, yes!"

In just a few minutes, Wen Ying was looking at a bowl of egg noodles.

’Good. The smell and color are normal this time.’

After eating, Wen Ying prepared to go clean. After all, her role was that of a janitor.

"You’ve worked hard today. The cafeteria’s cleaning, I—"

"I’ll clean it!" he insisted, cutting her off.

After leaving the cafeteria, Wen Ying could faintly sense that someone was spying on her—and it wasn’t just one pair of eyes.

She took the passage from the basement up to the old castle’s courtyard. The yard was a complete mess. It seemed that after one night and one morning, the place had turned into a garbage dump.

Wen Ying didn’t lose her temper. Instead, she followed the normal procedure and began to clean up the trash.

"Something’s not right. Isn’t this woman supposed to have a short fuse? Why isn’t she going to settle the score with the Head Nurse after seeing all this trash? Or any of the other monsters, for that matter!"

A person hiding behind a large tree muttered in confusion.

"Maybe a mental patient’s way of thinking is just different from ours. So what do we do now?"

"Let’s wait and see. It’s a huge courtyard. I don’t believe she’s actually willing to clean the whole thing!"

Of course, there was more than one group of people spying on Wen Ying.

Everyone was waiting for Wen Ying’s reaction, but her reaction was just too abnormal.

Half an hour passed. She had cleaned half the courtyard.

It wasn’t spotless, but at least all the trash had been cleared away.

Just when everyone was about to give up watching, Wen Ying suddenly threw down the broom in her hands!

That’s right, she didn’t put it down—she threw it!

She hurled it away!

’This is great!’

They were finally seeing the scene they had been waiting for!

In less than a minute, the Head Nurse appeared before Wen Ying. Her face was longer than a dirty rag as she stared furiously at her. "Newbie, is your work finished?"

"Finished," Wen Ying lied with a straight face.

As expected, this infuriated the Head Nurse even more.

The Head Nurse instantly exploded. "Newbie! You’ve broken the rules! I’m going to rip off all your limbs and turn them into a broom and a mop! You’ll be cleaning this place every day!" she cackled.

The people hiding in the shadows desperately wanted to applaud, but they had to hold it in, not daring to make a sound.

’This scene is just too good!’

’This woman is so dead!’

"Hang on, what rules?" Wen Ying waved her hand, interrupting the Head Nurse’s building-up ultimate attack, and asked in confusion.

"When I first got here yesterday, you told me I had to clean, right? You didn’t show me any rules, gave me no training, and basically treated me like some feral janitor. I thought everyone in this mental asylum was wild and free—to borrow a phrase from a movie, allowed to ’grow untamed.’ But now you’re telling me I broke a rule? Would you mind telling me which one? Or you can just give me the rules now, and I’ll find which one I broke myself."

Wen Ying’s tone was sincere. She genuinely wanted to know what the rules were here.

Otherwise, being completely in the dark, she wouldn’t even know how to break the rules if she wanted to.

’How embarrassing would that be.’

Hearing Wen Ying’s words, the Head Nurse grew even angrier.

"Whatever I say, goes. Understand?!"

"Understood. Your word is the rule. You rank above all the patients and leaders in this mental asylum."

The Head Nurse’s eyelid twitched. Why did this human woman in front of her always manage to infuriate her?

’Is it so hard to just want to stay alive?’

"Since you’ve broken the rules, and considering your ignorance, I’ll only break your two legs!"

The moment she finished speaking, the Head Nurse transformed into the Spider Monster. Her feet suddenly became sharp blades that glinted with a cold light!

They slashed straight for Wen Ying’s legs!

The sound of them slicing through the air made everyone’s heart leap into their throats.

They were terrified that the Spider Monster would actually slice off Doctor Wen’s legs.

Although they had a lot of confidence in Doctor Wen, seeing such a scene with their own eyes still filled them with fear and worry.

SQUIRT!

Dark green fluid gushed out!

The Head Nurse’s blade-like feet had all been severed and now lay on the ground.

And from the wounds, dark green fluid gushed out.

[I didn’t even blink. How did I not see how Doctor Wen fought back?]

[Doctor Wen is too fast. We’re just mere mortals; our naked eyes can’t see it. Can a brother post a high-res screenshot?]

Basically, no one saw Wen Ying move. All they saw was an afterimage.

After the afterimage faded, the Spider Monster was missing two of its feet.

"You seem to be in a big hurry. Are you that eager to go to the underworld and keep that cockroach monster company?"
