Chapter 311: The Beast Inside the Box

The Porsche glided silently around the corner of the alley, the headlights clicking off as Nash pulled into the deep shadows of an old, abandoned warehouse. Right across from them sat Hangar 47, a massive industrial building that looked like a beast in the dark.

The engine hummed for a second before Nash killed the ignition. Suddenly, the car was filled with a heavy silence, only broken by the distant, low vibration of the city’s underground machinery.

Victoria sat perfectly still in the passenger seat. Her manicured fingers were gripping the fabric of her black trousers very hard.

She stared straight ahead at the dashboard, her blue eyes looking like a storm was brewing inside her. Nash had spent the drive telling her the dirty, grim truth he had squeezed out of Harlan about Hector’s darkest secrets, and those words were just looping in her head over and over.

"Are you absolutely sure about this, Nash?" she whispered. Her voice had a tiny shake to it that she couldn’t hide. "Can we really trust a slimeball like Harlan? If he is playing us... if this is just some trap he set up for Apex..."

Nash kept his huge hands resting calmly on the leather steering wheel. He turned his head slowly to look at her. Thanks to the System, he had already scanned and analyzed everything about Harlan’s Risk Factors. He knew exactly where the man stood.

"Harlan is too scared to lie, Victoria," Nash said, his voice totally relaxed. "He had that moment of clarity after we left, but his greed is what is really eating him alive. He knows that if he antagonize me now, I will rip him apart with what we have, and if he doesn’t sink Hector quickly, he is a dead man. The files are real. As for the rest... we can use it. Technically, we wouldn’t even have to do anything, he is already fucked... but this is not just about getting your freedom anymore. This is about getting your revenge, and destroying Hector completely."

Victoria looked at him, and for a second, she felt dizzy, like the world was spinning. She was caught right between being terrified and being completely shocked.

Nash let a confident smile play on his lips. He reached out with one of his massive hands and gently brushed the side of her cheek.

"You told me this morning that we are together now, right? Then look at this as my first real gift to you as your man. I am going to put you on top of the world, Victoria. And I am going to bury every single one of your enemies."

An invisible shiver ran down the woman’s spine. She closed her eyes for a moment, breathing in the heat of his large palm against her skin, before giving a single nod.

Inside Hangar 47, the energy before the game was peaking. Out on the hardwood, Jaz, Nia, and Alicia were finishing their warm-up sets. Their skin was slick with sweat, glistening under the harsh arena lights. A staff member walked up to them with a towel over his shoulder, looking worried.

"Take it easy on the squats, girls. You have a huge match against the Falcons in three hours. Save your energy."

"We’ve got that covered, old man," Jaz shot back. She sounded totally chill as she wiped her forehead with the back of her wrist. "We know exactly what is at stake tonight."

This was their first real high-stakes game since the Raptors’ catastrophe. The whole season was riding on this. After everything Nash had done to stabilize their lives and give them a foundation, they were ready to bleed on that court to make him proud.

Nia adjusted the strap of her sports bra, glancing sideways toward the far end of the bench. The boys were sitting there like useless decorations. Their eyes were blank, and their usual arrogance had been completely castrated because they had dropped so low in the social order of the team.

"We better manage our stamina perfectly so we do not leave Nash alone on the front lines," Nia joked, though her voice had a sharp, bitter edge. "Because if we have to rely on these beta losers on the bench, we are totally screwed."

"Honestly, I don’t even know why we still share a locker room with these bums," Jaz grunted, sounding way more aggressive than usual. "Ma’am needs to do a total audit on this roster and clear out the parasites. We need real teammates, not dead weight."

Those words were like a match dropped into a pile of gasoline. Jinzo finally snapped. He rocketed off the bench, his face twisted into an ugly mask of frustration and hate that had been building up for way too long. He walked right up to them, a desperate, mean laugh coming from his lips.

"Parasites? That is what we are to you now, Jaz?" Jinzo screamed, his voice cracking with rage in front of the whole squad. "Who the hell are you calling a parasite? Look at yourself! I am not keeping my mouth shut this time! I want everyone in this room to admit that I am not the villain here! You cucked me! You threw me out like a piece of trash just so you could go get fucked apart by Nash right in front of my face, and I am the one being called a parasite?!"

"Shut your pathetic mouth, Jinzo!" Jaz exploded, taking a heavy step right into his personal space. "You spend every day whining about your miserable life instead of looking in the mirror!"

"Looking at myself?! For what?!" Jinzo shrieked, spinning around and gesturing wildly at the staff. "For what, huh?! Who is the real piece of shit here? Who destroyed our relationship just to jump on a bigger dick, huuuuh?!"

Jaz’s eyes turned bloodshot, filling with pure venom.

"I said shut your fucking mouth! You have never been a real man! That is exactly why I left you! You want to talk about why we broke up, Jinzo? You want me to tell everyone about your pathetic obsession with jerking off?! You spent your entire life locked in a room masturbating to your girl on a screen instead of ever touching her! You could not even get hard for me without your hand on your useless, limp dick, you absolute waste of space! You are a sub-human piece of shit!"

That was... A lot. The other players went wide-eyed, stunned by how brutal the words were. Jinzo, hit right in the core of his fragile ego, turned a dark, furious red. He lost all control and started spitting out horrors, trying to drag her down with him.

"Oh-Oooh, so that is your excuse for being an unfaithful little whore?!" Jinzo roared, thrusting a spit-flecked finger inches from her face. "You want to talk about masturbating? Everyone on this team knows that since Nash started riding those other sluts, you spend all your free time fingering yourself just thinking about his big cock! You, Nia, Alicia, you are all just a bunch of brainless bitches soaking your pants in a pack, begging him to come break you one after the other like cattle! You are nothing but his dogs in heat! You probably rub your cunts together thinking about him before he comes in to clear out your pussy!"

"Say that again, you miserable son of a bitch, and I will kill you!" Jaz screamed, lunging forward with her fists clenched, ready to erase him from life’s census.

The shouting match turned into a full-blown brawl. The training staff, terrified of the violence, jumped in to form a human wall. Mac had to dive in from behind, wrapping his arms around Jinzo’s chest and dragging him away by force while the guy kicked and yelled obscene insults.

On the other side, Nia, Alicia, and three staff members joined forces to hold Jaz back. The power forward fought back with terrifying strength, nearly tossing the whole group off her as she raged.

"Look at her!" Jinzo continued to scream, completely unhinged, his eyes bloodshot as he fought against Mac’s grip. "Look how crazy she gets! In front of the cameras and her fans, she plays the quiet little idol, the sweet, untouchable virgin of Blacklist! But the second it is just me, she shows her true colors as a filthy bitch! Who is the villain now, huh? Who is the real piece of trash?!"

"Jinzo. One more word, and your career in this league is over before the clock hits the next minute."

Victoria’s voice sliced through the chaos like Moses splitting the ocean.

Nash stepped into the light, standing right beside her. A total, suffocating silence dropped over Hangar 47 instantly. The staff and players backed away slowly, their breathing heavy.

Victoria glided smoothly into the center of the hardwood, pulling off her dark sunglasses really slowly. She did not have a single second to waste on low-level drama, and she was definitely not the type to play nice for the sake of politics.

She locked her cold saphir eyes directly onto Jinzo’s trembling form.

"You want to lecture my roster on morals? On relationships?" Victoria continued. "You are nothing but a dead weight that I pay for out of pure charity. Your role in this team is absolute zero. You are a parasite, Jinzo, and your petty, jealousy is officially affecting the financial return on my investment."

She took a step closer, standing in front of him. The guy was shaking like a leaf, his eyes glued to the floor because he was too scared to even look at her face.

"I warned you," Victoria said. "I warned you and the other little boys that things would get ugly for you here if you didn’t pack your bags and get the hell out like Drex did. So why are you looking so surprised now?"

Jinzo tried to say something back, his jaw twitching as he struggled to get words out, but she didn’t give him a chance. She didn’t feel a single bit of pity for him.

"This team value meritocracy," she explained, her voice flat. "Blaze holds all the cards because he is the team. And right under him is Jaz. You? You are just some annoying little shit we cannot shake off... at least for now. You are nothing but a parasite."

Jinzo was shaking now, a gross mix of being pissed off and feeling totally hopeless. He figured he had nothing left to lose, so he tried to take one last shot at her.

"You like to talk big," he spat, his voice cracking like a little kid’s, "but even you do not always get what you want! You lost the Midnight Rest! The Red Zone business dumped your ass! You are nothing but—"

Victoria tilted her head down just a tiny bit. Her eyes were a freezing, sapphire blue, and they pierced right through him. The look on her face basically said: one more word, and I will end your whole bloodline right here.

The aura of power coming off the Queen was so heavy and terrifying that Jinzo just froze. His mouth stayed open, and he swallowed his own spit in a wave of pure terror.

His brain just stopped working because his survival instinct told him to shut the fuck up. He folded, dropping his head, completely broken.

Victoria turned away from him to look at the rest of the group, crossing her slim arms over her chest, which pushed her breasts up.

"Listen to me carefully, every single one of you," she said. "Today, Blacklist has officially become the gold standard of the Underleague. And things are going to change a lot very soon. I plan to make you all live up to my wildest ambitions. We are stepping into a new dimension, a higher tier where useless, trashy, and filthy setups like the Midnight Rest are nothing but a stain on our image. I would rather just throw it away."

She frowned a bit, her eyes locking onto Nia and Alicia.

"For now. Nia, send in your official resignation from the Midnight Rest before tomorrow. You and Alicia are getting a massive, historical raise in your pay right after tonight’s game. I do not want my name associated with that Red Zone garbage anymore."

The news hit Nia and Alicia like a physical punch. Nia used to be a five star prostitute in the Midnight Rest, and Alicia had been a slave to the circuit without a future for a long time. This announcement felt like they had just been shot straight into heaven.

The shock was so violent and the joy was so much that their legs literally gave out. They collapsed, tears of pure relief and happiness spilling from their eyes. It was like all the years of trauma and feeling like filthy sluts were just being washed away.

Nash stepped forward, placing his huge hands on their shoulders. He was basically confirming that his Queen’s word was law.

"You earned it, girls. You put in the work for this," Nash said proudly.

Nia and Alicia didn’t even think; they just threw themselves into his massive arms at the same time. They sobbed against his muscled chest, letting his heat wash everything else. For them, this was the end of their chains. They were finally free and independent.

Jaz, who was still moved from her fight but felt soft seeing how beautiful the moment was, stepped in too. She wrapped her strong arms around the group to share the joy. Meanwhile, the other boys watched from the bench, feeling disgusted and empty. They realized the world now belonged to the King of Rats and his queens.

Later that night, the big moment finally happened.

The Sector Central underground arena was packed to the limit. It felt suffocating because of the deafening roars of thousands of fans and the frantic energy of people placing illegal bets. The hype was through the roof.

Up in the VIP stands and hiding in the dark corners of the massive metal building, the legendary figures and monsters of the underground circuit had gathered. They lurked in the shadows, watching and trying to figure out who the competition was.

At the very top of the western stands, Snow sat lazily, his long legs resting over the security barrier. Across from him, in the eastern luxury box, Chloe was nervously tapping notes into her tablet, her fingers drumming fast. Further down, hidden under a heavy black hood, Seth watched the court in total silence, along with other big-shot figures scouting for playoff opponents.

They were all there for one reason: to see if the Falcons’ perfect combo, the King of Shrimps, Rain, and the fiery powerhouse, Blaze, had any real chance of stopping the Beast of Blacklist.

Back at the Spires villa, the living room was just as tense. In front of the giant screen, Zayela and the rest of the Baby-Boom roster watched the pre-match broadcast, holding their breath. In their apartment, Sarra and Lina had almost finished packing their bags to move, but they stopped completely, sitting on the edge of the bed with their eyes glued to the TV in Sarra’s room. Even Amara, up in her luxury suite, was streaming the match. She had a glass of champagne in her hand, dying to see how high her man was going to take her.

Suddenly, the massive floodlights of the arena cut out, leaving the crowd in the dark. Then, sharp beams of white and violet light swept across the hardwood floor.

The way the teams walked out showed a total clash of styles.

On one side, the Falcons walked out like heroes from a manga, all about discipline and grit. There was Rain, the King of shrimp with a blank face, walking in the shadow of Blaze "The Tiger" Griffin. Blaze’s eyes burned, like a predator ready to smash through the Blacklist wall.

And on the other side... the Beast.

Nash stepped through the player tunnel. He was flanked by Jaz, Alicia, Nia, and one filler NPC. The second his massive frame hit the glare of the spotlights, every alpha in the circuit locked their eyes on him.

Up in the stands, Snow’s arrogant smirk disappeared instantly. Chloe’s hand shook so hard she almost dropped her stylus. She was completely unnerved by the crushing, terrifying aura coming off the Blacklist colossus. Even Seth, deep under his hood, narrowed his dark eyes. He could feel the raw, animal threat of an apex predator from a different dimension stepping onto his turf.

They all got it in that moment: this man was not just a player. He was a force of nature built to change the game.

Nash walked straight to the center of the court, his green eyes locking onto the rim before shifting to the Falcons duo standing across from him.

The roar of the arena died down into a heavy silence. The crowd’s energy felt like a knife on the edge. The head referee stepped between the two centers, gripping the orange ball.

He flipped the ball high into the air, way above their heads, right between Nash and the Falcons’ center. The whistle blew, and the most destructive match of the season officially began.
