In the research center’s office, with the expert consensus meeting having come to a successful conclusion, everyone was finally able to relax.

Dr. Yan Xi received a call from her professor. A short while later, Shen Guofeng sent her the digital files for two forms.
Shen Guofeng didn’t explain the specifics; he just told her to print them.
After receiving the files, Yan Xi was a little surprised when she saw what they were. However, it was an instruction from her professor, so she didn’t think much of it and printed the two forms.

"I wouldn’t dare apply for membership in the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch. My professor, Professor Shen, just asked me to print these for him. He’s coming to pick them up in a bit."
"As for who the application is for, I didn’t pry."
After hearing Yan Xi’s explanation, everyone realized it had all been a misunderstanding.
Still, they couldn’t help but feel a little envious of the doctor for whom Professor Shen was personally handling the recommendation and application forms.
After a few more remarks, they all went back to their work.
The immediate priority was to get the Youth Fund project application submitted. Now that the paper was published, all the prerequisites were met. All that was left was to submit the application online.

After conveying the hospital’s stance, Dean Tang began to ask for Director Huo’s opinion.

Hearing Dean Tang’s statement of support, Director Huo was thrilled, eagerly rubbing his hands together and ready to make big moves.

Ideally, they should be members of the medical association or hold even higher positions. Currently, the research center’s staff and facilities were shared with the emergency center. Huo Yun hoped that by next year, it could be fully independent. Only then could the research center truly realize its full potential!
The two deans were very supportive and appreciative of Huo Yun’s great ambition.
"Then let’s wait for the latest public membership list from the Jin Province Medical Association. We’ll use that to scout and recruit these high-level talents."

After some further discussion with Dean Tang and Dean Liu, Director Huo left the office brimming with confidence.
Back in his department, Huo Yun promptly called a meeting with his staff.
The research center staff received a notification in their group chat to gather in the main conference room for a meeting.
Seeing that Professor Shen hadn’t arrived yet, Yan Xi placed the two forms on her desk. She gave her professor a quick call to let him know, snapped a photo of the forms for him, and then headed to the meeting with the others.
Shen Guofeng, Shen Xiaofei, and Wu Ting arrived just as the research center staff was leaving; they just missed each other.
Of course, Wu Ting had also seen the meeting notice in the group chat.
He walked over to Yan Xi’s workstation with Professor Shen, picked up the two forms, and with Professor Shen’s guidance, filled in his name, age, contact number, and other basic information.
"Alright, that’s enough. I’ll take care of the rest of the information and documents for you."
Professor Shen knew Wu Ting had a department meeting to get to, so he immediately collected the hastily filled-out forms.
Director Shen Xiaofei watched from the side, amused. This was the sloppiest, least formal application he had ever seen.
Any other doctor would have filled out the forms with the utmost care and respect, double- and triple-checking everything before finding a sponsor to sign. The whole process would take a week at a minimum, maybe even two.
But Wu Ting just jotted down the basics, leaving the rest completely blank.
Then again, he thought, Wu Ting was hand-picked by Dean Song, a current director of the Jin Province Medical Association, and personally invited to apply by Shen Guofeng, an alternate director. With backing like that, it probably didn’t matter how the forms were filled out.
Wu Ting felt completely detached from the process, simply watching as Professor Shen took the forms away. It all happened so fast he didn’t even have time to take a commemorative photo.
’Just write a few words and that’s it?’
’Didn’t they say it was hard to get into the medical association? This is so easy anyone could do it!’
After completing the formality, Shen Guofeng casually informed him,
"Wu Ting, I’ve looked over your application materials. The writing is... um, very good."
"Now, you just have to wait for the medical association to announce this year’s new members. Congratulations on joining the Jin Province Medical Association Surgery Branch."
With that, Professor Shen and Director Shen took their leave.
After watching the two of them leave, Wu Ting prepared to head to the conference room for the meeting.
By the time Wu Ting arrived at the conference room, everyone was already present. Seeing him arrive, Director Huo formally began the meeting.
