Chapter 295: Chapter 295: Mom, Hurry Up and Let Tongtong Play With Dad

Soon, the two of them were full, rubbing their satisfied bellies.

Jiang Liu packed the rest into three bags.

As the two of them watched with eager eyes, Jiang Liu spoke:

"Tongtong, take this to kindergarten and share it with your friends."

"Yay! My friends are in for a treat."

"Qingmeng, you take this. Share it with your colleagues."

Jiang Liu had cut the souffle in the bags for Jun Qingmeng and Tongtong into small pieces, worried they’d be sharing with a large group.

The pieces in the other bag were larger. Jiang Liu planned to take it to the shop to share with the regular customers who had been especially good to him.

Jun Qingmeng’s heart swelled with sweetness. She stood on her tiptoes, looked at Jiang Liu, and asked, "Honey, you prepared some for me, too?"

?

Jiang Liu gave Jun Qingmeng a light flick on the forehead. "Of course. You and Tongtong are my family. You think I’d prepare some for Tongtong and not for you?"

Jun Qingmeng feigned a fierce glare at Jiang Liu. "You big jerk! Don’t flick my forehead!!"

?

Jiang Liu flicked her again, not using much force.

"Sob, sob... you’re bullying me! I’m going to tell your mom on you!"

It was more like playful banter than a real argument.

Jun Qingmeng said this while pulling out her phone to scare him.

Jiang Liu immediately surrendered.

"Alright, you can flick me back, okay?"

"Then be a good boy and squat down!"

Jiang Liu squatted down, and Jun Qingmeng giggled as she flicked him twice.

Watching this, Tongtong was tempted.

"Mommy, can Tongtong have a turn with Daddy, too?"

"Are you sure?" Jiang Liu looked at his daughter.

His gaze was imposing without a hint of anger.

Jiang Tongtong put the little hand she had raised behind her back and said with a straight face, "I was just kidding, Daddy. You didn’t actually take me seriously, did you?"

Jiang Liu suddenly looked at Jun Qingmeng and asked, "Do your colleagues know about our relationship?"

If they didn’t, Jun Qingmeng would definitely be questioned when she handed out the souffle.

Jun Qingmeng nodded. "They know. I told them right after we got together. Even before we were an item, a few of the other female teachers knew I liked you."

She had no desire to hide her relationship with Jiang Liu—a classic move for someone so completely in love.

"Alright then."

Jiang Liu felt relieved. He turned to Tongtong and instructed her, "When you get to school, share it with your classmates. If there isn’t enough, don’t take it all out at once. With so many kids at the kindergarten, there definitely won’t be enough to go around."

"I know, Daddy! Hehe."

Jiang Liu checked the time. It was 5:05.

"Hurry up and get ready. We need to get to the shop and open up."

"Okay! In that case, I’ll go back to my place to get ready."

Jun Qingmeng hadn’t moved many of her things over yet, and besides, she still felt a little shy about sharing a bathroom with Jiang Liu.

Although she was always talking big about teasing Jiang Liu, deep down, she was actually quite timid.

After Jun Qingmeng left, Jiang Liu helped Tongtong get ready.

While he was at it, he slipped the Pinyin alphabet book that Tongtong had tried to "forget" back into her schoolbag.

Jiang Tongtong’s face was a mask of utter tragedy!

’She hated studying; she only liked Daddy!’

’Boo hoo.’

By the time they had finished getting ready, it was 5:13.

Jiang Liu had been feeling anxious, but then he had a second thought. ’I’m the boss, so what’s the rush?’

’Even though a lot of people might be waiting, I don’t want to be held hostage by my customers.’

Without realizing it, Jiang Liu’s state of mind began to calm down.

Once in the car, Tongtong fell asleep almost immediately.

As usual, he made a stop at the vegetable market.

Jiang Liu left a piece of the souffle for an old granny and the Vegetable Boss.

This made the two of them ecstatic.

It was so heartwarming that Boss Jiang was still thinking of them!

After Jiang Liu left, the Vegetable Boss’s wife came over and asked, "Was that Boss Jiang just now?"

"Yes! And he even left me a piece of a pastry he made!" the Vegetable Boss said proudly.

"For real? Don’t kid me. Quick, let me see it."

"The pastry looks amazing."

The Vegetable Boss took a souffle, about half the size of his palm and wrapped in a plastic bag, out of his drawer.

His wife’s mouth watered, and she snatched it away. "Let me have a taste."

"Hey, take a small bite! Leave some for our son... How does it taste?"

His wife’s face was filled with amazement.

"Boss Jiang is an amazing baker! You have to try this, it’s delicious! I’ve never eaten a pastry this good before."

"Really?"

The Vegetable Boss carefully took a bite.

Fragrant!

Sweet!

One bite was like biting into a cloud. The milky, sweet flavor melted on the tip of his tongue in a single second.

The pastry was incredibly soft and delicate!

"It really is delicious! I can’t imagine how Boss Jiang makes this pastry. It’s so much tastier than anything we’ve bought from a bakery!"

The Vegetable Boss was stunned.

"I know, right? I never would’ve thought that someone as young as Boss Jiang would not only be a great cook, but a master baker too. If he opened a bakery, I’d be there every day to buy something."

"Don’t eat the rest. Let’s save it for our son."

"Okay..."

His wife gazed longingly at the re-wrapped souffle.

When Jiang Liu returned to his shop, a long line had already formed at the entrance, stretching nearly a hundred meters to the storefronts on the opposite side of the street.

The moment he got out of the car, customers started complaining pitifully.

"Boss Jiang, you’re so late today!"

"It’s over. Does this mean Brother Jiang doesn’t love us anymore?"

"Can you please come earlier next time? I’m dying from the cravings. I couldn’t sleep all night, all I could think about were your buns."

"Fine, fine, fine! Why don’t you just come at noon next time? I won’t even bother eating!"

The young man who said this was all talk; his body, however, was honestly holding his place in line, terrified that someone would cut in front of him.

Jiang Liu casually explained, "Sorry, something came up this morning and I got delayed. Business hours will be the same."

"It’s fine, Boss Jiang! Open whenever you want, just as long as you open!"

"Yeah, it’s no problem. We all trust you and like you. Your health is the most important thing. If you’re tired, it’s fine to take half a day off."

Although everyone was unhappy that Jiang Liu was late, their displeasure was aimed at the delay in getting his delicious food, not at Jiang Liu himself.

Deep down, everyone was more concerned that Jiang Liu get enough rest and stay healthy.

’If he got sick, then they’d really have nothing to eat.’

New customers, however, were staring in awe at Jun Qingmeng’s retreating figure.

"I can’t believe a woman this beautiful exists. Is she Boss Jiang’s wife?"

"Yep, she’s Brother Jiang’s. Only Sister-in-law Qingmeng is good enough for Brother Jiang!"

"Man, I think she blows every other beautiful woman I’ve ever seen out of the water."

Any male customer seeing Jun Qingmeng for the first time was filled with envy and jealousy.

She was wearing a simple, long black-and-white plaid skirt with a white, cartoon-print T-shirt, her dark hair cascading over her shoulders.

Fair skin, a perfect figure, delicate features, and a pair of clear, beautiful eyes that held both gentleness and a distant coldness that kept others at arm’s length.

’So beautiful.’

’She’s way more beautiful than any of those campus queens. How can a woman of this caliber not be mine?!’

’The injustice!’

Inside the shop, Jiang Liu got to work without a moment’s delay.

Tongtong stood by the sink, helping Jiang Liu wash the vegetables.

Meanwhile, Jun Qingmeng stood to the side, focused on pouring fruit juice.

A strand of hair fell across her cheek, and she casually tucked it behind her ear.

She gently reminded him:

"Honey, it looks like we’re running low on cups for the shop."

"Alright, got it. I’ll have Wang Dongxu deliver some at noon."

Jiang Liu put the yak meat on to stew and the buns on to steam.

6:25.

He found a moment to make a plate of stir-fried pork and some rice soup for the two of them.
