Chapter 141: Chapter 141; Stir up the pot!

Aiden’s POV

"Alina, are you okay? You’ve been in there for a long time," but I didn’t get a response. Then, just as I was about to open the door, it opened and Alina came out.

She froze when she saw me, her eyes wide with shock. "Aiden, what are you doing here?"

The heavy panic in my chest melted away. I gave her a warm, relieved smile. "You were gone for so long. I was really worried about you."

She crosses her arms, her tone completely sharp as she says, "You don’t need to worry about me, okay, I can take care of myself."

"I know," I say, but before I can finish my sentence, my ears twitch. I catch a faint, shuffling sound coming from inside the restroom behind her. My Alpha instincts instantly spike, my eyes narrowing past her shoulder. "Is someone there?"

"Yes," she says rapidly, shifting her weight to block my line of sight entirely. "Two other girls are in there and it will be weird if they see you standing outside a female restroom so we should go."

She turns toward the main floor, and I nod, reaching down to grab her fingers. "Let’s go."

We went back to the party, stepping back into the glittering crowd. But for some reason, as I scan the room, I see Boca standing completely alone by the bar. I frown, wondering where the hell Lucian is, but I didn’t think too much of it at the moment.

A little while later, movement near the grand entrance catches my attention. I finally saw Lucian, and the rogue was actively leaving the venue, with Boca following right on his heels.

A cold, calculating thought clicks in my mind.

"Alina, I will be right back," and I walked away before she could even question me.

I followed Lucian straight out of the venue, slipping past the glass doors and out into the cool, quiet courtyard. As soon as we got out onto the empty driveway, I call out to their retreating figures, "It must be sad, right?"

Lucian halted in his tracks, and Boca stopped right beside him. They turn around to face me, their expressions instantly hardening into masks of pure hostility.

A smirk plays on my face as I slowly walk towards them, my hands casually tucked into my suit pockets.

Lucian’s jaw clenches, his voice dropping into a dangerous growl. "What do you want?"

"It’s not about what I want," I say smoothly, stopping a few feet away from them. "It is you crossing boundaries. Why are you even here in the first place? You can’t stay away from Alina. Your obsession runs so damn deep that you can’t let her be with me."

Lucian scoffed loudly, a look of pure disgust crossing his features. "Be with you? Now you are getting over yourself."

"I am spitting facts," I say, tilting my head with a mocking smile.

"What stupid-ass fact is that?" Lucian snarls, taking a menacing step forward.

I shrug, my smirk widening. "Alina and I deserve each other." I watch with immense satisfaction as a wave of intense annoyance ripples through him. "And I will make sure she knows that. I might have told her before that I was willing to share... but she will be mine permanently."

"You told her fucking what?" Lucian says, his voice vibrating with a feral undertone. He looks about to completely lose his shit, his fists trembling with rage, but Boca quickly lunged out and held him back by his shoulder.

I let out a soft, taunting laugh. "She didn’t tell you? Alina agreed that I will also be with her as long as I worship her, and I am willing to do that."

Lucian let out a frustrated sigh, shaking his head as if trying to block out the reality of my words. "No," he muttered, his voice cracking slightly with denial. "She won’t do that to me."

I scoffed, driving the knife in as deep as it could go. "It’s already happening. You saw how close we both are on the floor tonight, didn’t you? Imagine what will happen behind closed doors."

"Aiden!"

Lucian growled, the primal sound ripping from the depths of his chest. He breaks entirely free from Boca’s grip, lunges forward, and punches me hard on the face.

Crack.

The sheer force of the blow sends me crashing onto the stone pavement. A jagged laugh escapes from my throat as I get up, wiping a thick smear of blood from my face. I look up at the rogue, my smirk completely intact, and I say, "Are you mad because I haven’t even started yet?"

Lucian lunged forward again, punching me even harder this time, his knuckles splitting open as he roars, "Alina will never belong to you! You had your chance and blew it, you don’t get a second chance!"

I spit a mouthful of blood onto the stones, staring back at him with unyielding defiance. "And who are you to decide this, eh?"

Lucian’s face contorts with pure hatred, and he was about to attack again, but Boca forcefully stopped him, locking his arms around Lucian’s torso. "Lucian, stop! We aren’t in the right place, people are staring!"

But Lucian didn’t care about the witnesses or the venue. With raw strength, he wrenches himself forward, reaching down to hold me tightly by the neck. He squeezes my throat with a deadly, suffocating grip, clearly wanting nothing more than to end me right then and there.

I don’t even try to fight back; I just smile up at him through the pain, watching the rogue completely unravel.

Boca frantically pulls at Lucian’s arm, his voice rising in panic. "Let him go! Lucian, let him go!"

With a final, furious snarl, Lucian dropped me, letting my head hit the hard stone.

Boca grabs Lucian’s shoulder, pulling him away toward the edge of the driveway. "Lucian, let’s leave now. Alina won’t want this, let’s go."

Lucian stands frozen for one last second, his chest heaving as he gazed angrily at me, his eyes burning with unrestrained violence. Finally, he turns on his heel and storms off into the darkness with Boca.

A smirk played on my face as I lay back on the cool ground.
