Chapter 411: Chapter 411: Saying I Love You From This Moment On (11)

Once his goal was achieved, Jason Lockwood left.

Eleanor Bishop was left alone in the room.

The moment she heard the door close, Eleanor Bishop couldn’t hold back any longer and burst into tears.

’If I had known this would be the price for getting involved with Archie, I never, ever would have done it...’

’Archie, I’m so sorry. I’m truly sorry...’

Eleanor Bishop didn’t go home. She stayed in the hotel all day.

As darkness began to fall outside, she picked up her handbag, took out her phone, and opened her contacts. Her eyes filled with pain as she stared at the familiar number...

’She knew that if she made this call, Archie would probably hate her forever...’

Her hand trembled as she tapped the screen, her heart pounding with anxiety...

’A part of her hoped Archie wouldn’t answer, that he wouldn’t come. But another part of her was terrified he wouldn’t. If he didn’t, Jason Lockwood would never let her go...’

But the phone didn’t even ring twice before the call connected.

A man’s cool voice came through the line almost immediately. "What is it?"

Those two simple words sent a sharp pang through Eleanor’s heart. Fighting back tears, she choked out, "Archie..."

Her voice made the man on the other end of the line frown. He glanced over at the person lying in the bed, then turned and walked out of the room. Lowering his voice, he asked deeply, "Yes? What’s wrong?"

"Archie, can you please come here..."

"What happened?"

"Archie, can you come and stay with me tonight?"

The sound of her sobbing made the man’s brow furrow in displeasure. "What exactly happened? Where are you?"

"I’m at the Vance Hotel. The same room we were in last time." Before Eleanor could hear his reply, the line went dead.

Eleanor was stunned. ’What does that mean?’ she wondered. ’Is he coming? Or not?’

Instead of going back into the room, Archie Lockwood slipped his phone into his pocket. He turned to the two people guarding the door and gave a cold command. "Howard Rhodes, Louise Jordan, watch over the Old Master. No one is to go inside until I return. That includes Dr. Warren."

"Yes."

The moment Archie Lockwood was gone, Yuna Sullivan hurried up to the second floor, phone in hand.

The drive from the Lockwood estate to the Vance Hotel normally took over forty minutes, but Archie Lockwood made it in just over twenty.

When he pushed the door open and stepped inside, he found Eleanor Bishop huddled on the floor by the sofa.

His brow furrowed slightly. He strode over, pulled her up from the floor, and demanded in a cold voice, "What exactly happened?"

Eleanor threw herself into his arms, clinging to him tightly. "Archie, I’m sorry, I’m so sorry," she sobbed. "I lied to you..."

At her words, the cold expression on Archie Lockwood’s handsome face instantly turned menacing.

His fists clenched as he fought to contain his explosive anger. "What do you mean?" he growled, his voice low. "Eleanor Bishop, explain yourself!"

"I... I saw Jason Lockwood today. He threatened me... using my father," she stammered. "Archie, you know how sick he is. I can’t let anything else happen to him. If it does... my father will die. He won’t survive..."

Hearing Eleanor’s words, a sharp pain lanced through Archie Lockwood’s heart.
