Chapter 407: Chapter 407: To Say I Love You From This Moment On (7)

From that day on, Tristan Grayson never saw Mika Summers again.

He made a point of pacing back and forth along the hospital corridors every day, but he still never saw Mika Summers again.

He even began to wonder if she had disappeared again...

It wasn’t until the day before his discharge that he received documents from a lawyer.

Only then did he realize she really was gone again.

She had left after all...

In an underground warehouse, Gia Miller and several men sat huddled together, snorting white powder.

Just then, a sound came from the iron door. The group immediately looked up, on high alert.

Gia Miller frowned and asked coldly, "Who is it?"

"Who else would it be?" a displeased male voice answered from beyond the door.

A cruel smirk touched Gia Miller’s lips as she gestured for the man across from her to open the door.

The man set what he was holding onto the bed, got up, and unlocked the door. Upon seeing the person standing in the doorway, he bowed his head slightly. "The Baron!"

Jason Lockwood nodded and walked in.

The man immediately shut and locked the door.

Gia Miller stood up and said with a smile, "What brings The Baron to see us today?"

"Hah. Gia Miller, I think you’ve gotten a little too comfortable these past couple of days. I didn’t break you out just so you could sit around here and enjoy yourself."

"Of course. You rescued me, Baron. I know exactly what I need to do and how to repay you."

"Heh, it’s good you haven’t forgotten. You need to remember that the only reason I saved you is because you promised you wouldn’t let me down—that you’d do even better than your brother. And yet, your very first move was a huge disappointment."

Hearing Jason Lockwood’s words, Gia Miller clenched her fists. "Don’t worry, Baron," she said venomously. "I will find another chance to kill them." ’This time I failed to kill them. Next time, I’ll make sure I watch them die before I leave.’

"Haha! You may not be as efficient as your brother, but you’re far more ruthless, and I appreciate that. You all carry on. Things are tense outside, so don’t go out for the next couple of days. If you need anything, I’ll have someone bring it over."

"Yes, Baron."

As she watched Jason Lockwood leave, Gia Miller slammed what was in her hand onto the ground and kicked a nearby table. "Tristan Grayson! You won’t be so lucky next time!"

...

The moment Jason Lockwood stepped out of the warehouse, his assistant, Ash, caught up to him.

"Baron, Dr. Warren says the old man will very likely wake up tonight."

Jason Lockwood fastened the cufflink on his sleeve and sneered, "We can’t let him wake up. Find a way to keep him asleep for another ten days, maybe even half a month."

"But Young Master Lockwood has been keeping a close watch lately. Dr. Warren hasn’t had an opportunity to act."

"Hah. A close watch?" Jason Lockwood’s lips curled in mockery. ’Well then, I’d like to see just how close a watch he can keep...’ 𝕗𝗿𝕖𝐞𝐰𝗲𝕓𝐧𝕠𝕧𝗲𝐥.𝚌𝐨𝚖

"Tell Dr. Warren to leave late tomorrow night. An opportunity will naturally arise."

"Understood."

Jason Lockwood strode elegantly toward the elevator.

As his elevator reached the top floor, he heard several women arguing before the doors had even opened.

The loudest voice among them was one he knew all too well...

His eyes darkened, and he frowned in displeasure.

’Is that woman causing trouble for me again?’
