Chapter 5182: You Are Too Courteous

The battlefield went silent amidst the bloody atmosphere, abruptly becoming chilling to the core.

It was like winter had descended, with the sun barely seen because of the Galaxy Wormhole distorting the skies, while the clouds were as thick as mountains, also blotting out the skies.

However, what chilled them to the core was that a True Exalt Beast, a Nine-Headed Hydra, had been frozen.

Ophirya Kaelis remained at the edge of this frozen mountain of ice. She nearly fell as her lower serpent body went limp from the sheer power of the ice subsuming everything in its path. She imagined this technique alone killed millions of beasts and feys from the Hydra Galaxy.

However, it made no sense whatsoever as she looked at the frozen Nine-Headed Hydra.

Since this Nine-Headed Hydra was a Realm Master, their cultivation should be higher, and in essence, they should be able to go past the layer limit using their prowess alone. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be suppressing their cultivation bases. Should their life be threatened, they usually would go all out, but with the layer limit keeping them in check, sure, they wouldn’t try to break it. After all, they had nine lives.

However, would they ever allow themselves to be captured?

Ophirya Kaelis shook her head absentmindedly in deep disbelief. That wasn’t possible.

They would rather break the layer limit and be sent out into the void, and they would take their time leisurely returning.

As their prowess would more or less put them at the Realm Beast Stage, they need not fear the spatial storms nor the other dangers so much as long as they knew how to find their way back, and a Realm Master would surely be able to sense the direction of the Three Layers through the Realm Core, allowing them to return safely as long as the Realm Core’s authority wasn’t plundered from them.

Even if it were plundered, as long as they had the initial direction right, would they get lost again unless they were too unlucky?

It was difficult for Ophirya Kaelis to guess since she hadn’t been thrown out personally. However, she knew these prideful hydras would never let themselves be captured.

They would rather sacrifice four of their nine souls to invigorate themselves and make a getaway than be captured.

She gazed at the icy mountain that held the Nine-Headed Hydra within.

Everyone gazed at this True Exalt Beast, still expecting it to break out.

However, there was no movement.

Only the figure of an impeccable white-robed beauty floated in the air. Her immortal aura of the Alpha Exalt Stage reverberated across the land and the skies, cowing hundreds of millions into trembling as they felt like their heads were going to be lopped off, as they felt a cold chill seeping through their spines.

They didn’t want to move accidentally, lest they get done in by a random sword strike.

"Ghorzen! Do you want to bring shame to our hydra race!? Wake up!"

At this moment, the furious voice of Realm Master Felza Nyssadra echoed across the battlefield.

"...!"

It finally caused everyone to wake up out of their reverie, and they felt the pressure visibly lessen as the aura of the Nine-Headed Hydra pushed back against the icy feeling. It came as a wave and died off.

Realm Master Felza Nyssadra actually used her Realm Core’s power, using the prowess of a Realm Beast to shout!

Even the ice mountain cracked ever so lightly.

However, the voice ultimately didn’t seem to reach.

The frozen Nine-Headed Hydra still didn’t show any signs of movement.

The Frostcloud Sword Empress responded in kind as she swung her sword, her smile never fading.

With two strikes, she split a particular ice mountain apart from the rest and reached out her hand, causing the frozen Nine-Headed Hydra to disappear into one of her rings.

"You crazy bitch! Do you think you can leave alive after offending us!?"

Realm Master Felza Nyssadra roared from the distance, simply using her pressure, and the other Realm Masters also converged around the Frostcloud Sword Empress. The undying aid from Davis also didn’t let up, forcing the Realm Masters to engage with them.

They barred their innate cadaveric and ghostly yin powers against them.

A terrifying battle ensued at the spot, causing millions to be sent flying from the sheer pressure of the battle, and countless others simply dying.

A battle of the giants didn’t allow meat grinders to even fulfill their role as meat grinders.

Ophirya Kaelis and the others practically run for their lives in a defensive war formation. With the power of the clan members, their formation at least revealed the prowess of the Level Nine Exalt Stage. They managed to flee from the range of the battle of the giants, like a few others who were also in formations.

However, instead of heading towards the opposing army, they stopped and held their ground as though choosing to form a perimeter, when in reality, they were waiting for the Divine Emperor of Death to save them!

Davis raised his arm and ran his hand through his blonde hair before turning to look around.

"Venerable Elders, I appreciate you coming for me, but can you ignore me just this once?"

He looked at five Venerable Elders with a vague smile, his voice reverberating with a strange intonation.

"Alright, I’ll ignore you just this once." A white-robed middle-aged man cupped his hands quickly and politely.

"Insolent! You think you can bend my Will!?" A blue-robed old man roared as his long mustache violently swayed.

"Careful! He’s using his Enigmatic Heart Laws to corrupt our Will!"

A white-haired, crimson-robed woman staggered back as she held her head, her teeth clattering.

The other two also showed similar reactions.

The white-robed, middle-aged-looking Venerable Elder looked at the others in confusion before vaguely realizing something. Then he struck his own forehead and roared as his soul force boomed out.

"Break!"

Davis blinked at them.

He spread his hands far before cupping them politely.

"Please be understanding like the Supreme One. Ignore me because I’m fighting for the human race."

"I understand." The white-robed middle-aged man lowered his hand with a smile, "You are too courteo- unscrupulous! Damn you!"

He abruptly raged as he managed to break the Corruption of Will.

The others also swayed as they tried to attack Davis, causing him to preemptively dodge.

"Tch..."

Davis clicked his tongue. As expected, the Venerable Elders were all veterans with immense experience and a firm Will. It wouldn’t be easy to corrupt them. They weren’t able to break the corruption quickly, so it didn’t result in a firm backlash, but he also saw that the more he used it on one person, the harder it drained his Will.

"Then, come." He drifted in the air like a wraith as a scythe manifested behind him, causing him to grab it and wave as a cold glint flashed past his sapphire eyes, "Do you all honestly think I can only increase the prowess of my undead brethren with the replica I have?"

"..."

The Venerable Elders momentarily came to a stop.

In the distance, the Celestial Transcendent’s gaze flickered.

That Ice Divergent Fairy’s physique appeared to be the Iceborne Calamity Body, which possessed nearly unbreakable ice and a strong sealing power towards souls. It was no wonder that the Nine-Headed Hydra couldn’t escape after being caught with its pants down.

It was simply too stupid to fight with a suppressed cultivation base against a Divergent who is also a Realm Breaker, not to mention a Desolate Divergent who was a Realm Breaker and has two freaking replicas.

But instead of Davis, he refocused his gaze back to the Ice Divergent Fairy, thinking she was the most dangerous amongst everyone here since she didn’t seem to be injured even while fighting four Realm Masters all at the same time while being pressured by the aura of a Realm Beast.

Instead, the Nine-Headed Hydras’ heads were being severed one after another, with them significantly finding it difficult to regenerate them back, even though the regeneration speed of the hydras was known to be one of the most ridiculous.
