"I don’t know either. But I imagine it should be soon," Lu Bingning replied, sounding a little downcast herself.

Although the contingency plan Lin Yun had left behind successfully thwarted Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing, and the two women had faced no real danger, they still felt an emptiness in their hearts with him gone, as if something vital were missing.

After a few cloying moments of reunion, Lin Yun finally asked if anything had happened while he was gone.

At his question, the two women told him about the incident with Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing.

As they spoke, Lin Yun learned that Gong Lingqi and Chang Jing had barged directly into their courtyard one night. If not for Caiyi’s presence, they feared the two men would have truly dared to commit a vile and despicable act.
