The treasure Li Tian had mentioned for suppressing the Ghost Lizards was none other than Little Ape. According to him, although he couldn’t see through Little Ape, his intuition told him that the ape could perfectly overpower the Ghost Lizards.
Hearing this, Lin Yun skeptically woke Little Ape and explained the situation. After listening, Little Ape confidently patted its chest, as if to say, ’Leave it to me.’

The night passed in silence. Aside from Lin Yun and his two companions, everyone else remained on high alert. Strangely, though, ever since Little Ape had charged into the pack of Ghost Lizards, there had not been a single attack.

Little Ape had already returned to his arms and was sleeping soundly. However, when Lin Yun looked at their surroundings, he was both shocked and exasperated.
The dismembered corpses of over a thousand Ghost Lizards lay before his eyes. So, Little Ape had slaughtered all of them in a single night...
"Holy crap, that’s insane! Did Little Ape really do all this alone?" Qin Feng shouted dramatically upon seeing the scene.

With the Ghost Lizards no longer blocking their path, Lin Yun’s group of three continued toward the Academy.
They traveled across the plains for a full half-month. During this time, Ghost Lizards would occasionally attack the trio, but with Little Ape around, they had nothing to worry about. Having drunk the blood of so many Ghost Lizards, Little Ape had finally reached the verge of advancing.
"It has fallen into a deep slumber. When it awakens, it should reach the realm of a Tier Two Demon Beast," Li Tian explained to Lin Yun.
After leaving the plains, a main road appeared before them. Based on what they had gathered, this marked the end of the Trial Road.
"How come there’s no one on this road?" After walking for a week without seeing a single soul, Qin Feng muttered.
"Very few people travel this road. It has no cities or villages along the way; it only leads to Yanhuang Academy. On top of that, the road is infested with robbers, so naturally, no one uses it," Li Tian explained.
Meeting neither travelers nor robbers, Lin Yun’s group of three naturally focused on hurrying along.
For several days straight, the trio did nothing but travel. Little Ape remained in its deep slumber, showing no signs of waking.
After several days of travel, Lin Yun and his companions finally encountered a band of robbers. The leader was a Martial Artist at the Second Layer of Qi Sea Realm, and upon seeing the trio, his gang appeared quite confident.
But as soon as they clashed, Lin Yun’s strength shocked the robber chieftain to his core. Someone at the Fifth Layer of Opening Realm was actually able to suppress him.
’Damn it. Looks like I’ve run into a tough one,’ the robber chieftain thought with a cold snort, and decided to stop holding back.

While Lin Yun’s group brazenly traveled the road with their overwhelming strength, the other Trial Takers were in a much more miserable state. Of the original thousand-plus people, only about three hundred remained, and many of them were injured. It seemed that in the end, perhaps only a little over one hundred would make it to the Academy.
Almost three months had passed since they left Yunlu County City, and now, Lin Yun and his companions were only seven days away from Yanhuang Academy.

"Heh, not bad, you three. You’re the first to complete the Trial Road." Just as the trio arrived at the Academy, a figure descended from the sky.
Lin Yun’s eyes narrowed. The figure was the beautiful woman who had once hunted him. He never thought the first person he would encounter at Yanhuang Academy would be her.
The beautiful woman’s gaze swept over the trio. Seeing that she didn’t seem to recognize him, Lin Yun relaxed. As long as his identity wasn’t exposed, he had nothing to fear.
"You won’t be able to formally enter the Academy until all the Trial Takers have finished the Trial Road. In the meantime, you must rest in the rooms assigned to you. Don’t wander off, or you risk being disqualified, you hear?"
After giving the trio this reminder, the beautiful woman left. An older student then led them to a courtyard in a remote corner of the Academy.
Looking at the somewhat dilapidated courtyard, the three of them each took a room and settled in.
As time went on, Trial Takers began to arrive at the Academy in a steady stream each day, and all who arrived early were placed in this same courtyard.
Seeing the smiles on their faces, Lin Yun knew how happy they were just to have made it into the Academy.
"Hmph, celebrating already? If they don’t make it into the Elite Class, they’ll just get kicked out by the Academy anyway," some of the older students sneered, looking down on the newcomers’ smiling faces.
