Chapter 100: Chapter 100: Utterly Domineering
Lin Yun and Lu Bingning were in the room. Meanwhile, at the inn’s entrance, Tang Wushuang had arrived, led by the Shopkeeper.
"Alright, you’re dismissed," Tang Wushuang said coldly to the Shopkeeper before walking straight toward Room A-1, where Lu Bingning was staying.
In the middle of their conversation, Lin Yun suddenly felt an intense killing intent draw near. He put a finger to his lips, signaling Lu Bingning to be quiet. In an instant, he used the Disguise Technique, his entire appearance reverting to the unremarkable Lin Shan.
Just as Lin Yun finished changing his appearance, the door to the room was thrown open. Tang Wushuang walked in, his face dark.
"Lin Shan, it’s you?" Upon seeing Lin Yun, Tang Wushuang’s expression grew even darker, and the killing intent radiating from him intensified.
Tang Wushuang had wanted to kill Lin Shan ever since he saw him leave Yunlu Tower with Lu Bingning the day before. He had even sent men to investigate Lin Shan’s background. Now, seeing Lin Yun and Lu Bingning together in the same room, he could no longer conceal his murderous intent.
As the number one genius of Yunlu County and a member of a collateral branch of the Royal Family, Tang Wushuang was naturally domineering. This was especially true when it came to Lu Bingning, whom he had long considered his personal property—untouchable by anyone else.
"Lin Shan, what are you doing here?" Tang Wushuang demanded, his tone freezing. From the look on his face, it was clear that if Lin Yun couldn’t provide a perfect explanation, he would be killed on the spot.
Lin Yun calmly met Tang Wushuang’s gaze. Things had already come to this; he certainly wasn’t afraid. As long as he didn’t expose his true identity, he had nothing to fear.
"I came to visit Miss Lu. Is there a problem? Is Young Master Tang also here to see her?" Lin Yun replied with a smile.
In Tang Wushuang’s eyes, Lin Yun’s casual demeanor was a blatant provocation. Elemental Power began to shimmer around his body, and the killing intent in his voice spread out, completely undisguised.
"Lin Shan, there are some people you can’t touch. If you do, you will die."
Before Lin Yun could respond to Tang Wushuang’s threat, Lu Bingning stepped in front of him. "That’s enough, Young Master Tang," she said coldly. "Lin Shan is my friend. Do I need your permission to spend time with my friends?"
"Now, please leave immediately. I don’t want to see you." Lu Bingning’s voice was frigid, her tone thick with disgust for Tang Wushuang.
Hearing this, Tang Wushuang’s gloomy face suddenly broke into a loud laugh. As the great number one genius of Yunlu County, this was the first time anyone had dared to speak to him this way—and it was the very woman he desired.
"Haha! Lu Bingning, you’ve got some nerve. I, Tang Wushuang, have treated you so well, yet you’ve fallen for some nameless nobody! Haha! Fine, fine, fine! Today, I, Tang Wushuang, will kill him right here and show you just how fragile the man you like truly is."
Tang Wushuang was incredibly arrogant. In his mind, Lin Yun was the cause of all this, so he had to be eliminated.
Facing Tang Wushuang, Lin Yun rose unhurriedly from his seat. His relationship with Lu Bingning aside, Tang Wushuang’s attitude alone was enough to anger him.
’He’s just a mere Young Prince.’ Lin Yun was currently wanted by two major powers. If he wasn’t afraid of them, why would he be afraid of a single Young Prince?
He walked up to Tang Wushuang and stood his ground, shielding Lu Bingning behind him. At that moment, Elemental Power flared to life around both of them as their killing intent erupted without restraint.
Tang Wushuang wanted to kill him, and Lin Yun would show no mercy. Having met Lu Bingning again, he already considered her his woman. He would destroy anyone who dared to try and take her from him.
"Lin Shan, you’ve got guts. Today is the day you die," Tang Wushuang roared. As he spoke, the Elemental Power around him exploded outwards, shattering all the tables and chairs in the room.
Lin Yun, standing opposite him, pushed his War God Technique to its Limit the instant Tang Wushuang’s Elemental Power erupted.
’He’s strong. This Tang Wushuang is very strong, even a cut above Yue Xiuchuan. For the first time, Lin Yun felt a real threat from a peer.’
With both of their auras at their peak, Tang Wushuang threw a vicious punch at Lin Yun. Lin Yun didn’t dodge, meeting the attack with a punch of his own.
As their fists collided, cracks spiderwebbed across the room’s walls and floor. It was clear the room couldn’t withstand the force of their clash.
They traded blow after blow, the entire room shaking from the force of their fight. Seeing this, Lin Yun said to Lu Bingning, "Bingning, get outside."
Lu Bingning hesitated for a moment before leaping out of the room. Hearing Lin Yun address her so familiarly as "Bingning," Tang Wushuang’s fury mounted. "You have no right to call her that!"
"Hmph! Tang Wushuang, you’re just a hypocrite with a dark and twisted heart!" Lin Yun shot back, refusing to show any weakness.
The two battled fiercely inside. Finally, unable to withstand their clash, the entire room collapsed with a thunderous BOOM.
Lu Bingning, who had just made it to the courtyard, had a worried expression on her face. ’Please be okay, Lin Yun,’ she prayed inwardly.
The deafening crash brought the other guests of the inn running out to see what was happening.
The courtyard was already crowded with people. A moment later, two bursts of Golden Light erupted from the rubble. The surrounding debris was blasted away by the light, revealing two figures to the onlookers.
"Isn’t that Young Master Tang? I can’t believe he’s the one fighting someone."
"Who’s the person he’s fighting?"
As soon as the two appeared, many people recognized Tang Wushuang. He was, after all, a dazzling figure in Yunlu County. As for Lin Yun, no one knew who he was.
"Lin Shan, do you truly intend to oppose me?" With the crowd of onlookers growing, Tang Wushuang did not attack again, instead shouting the question coldly.
There was a rule in Yunlu County City: a Restriction against all fighting within the city walls. With so many people watching, even Tang Wushuang was reluctant to continue the fight.
He could ignore the rule, but doing so would bring shame upon the Royal Family, and he would surely face his father’s wrath when he returned.
Seeing that Tang Wushuang showed no sign of continuing, Lin Yun retracted his Elemental Power as well.
"Lin Shan, I’ll ask you one last time: do you truly intend to oppose me?" Tang Wushuang repeated.
Hearing this, Lin Yun beckoned to Lu Bingning. Thinking he might be injured, she quickly ran to his side.
But as soon as she was close, Lin Yun pulled her into an embrace. Without a word, he leaned in and kissed her directly on the lips.
The unexpected scene left the onlookers completely stunned. Fury erupted in Tang Wushuang’s eyes, and the Elemental Power he had just suppressed flared up once more.
