Chapter 1844: Max Dominating The Battle!

On the stage, Rakan stared at Max, and then his grin returned fiercer than it had ever been.

"Seven Divine Veins.... Just how many secrets are you carrying?"

Max slowly closed his fist, and the air around his fingers compressed.

"I told you," Max said evenly. "I wanted to test my body. I never said I had shown all of it."

Rakan laughed loudly. "Good!"

He stepped forward. The War Blood Awakening within him roared back to life, and bronze light surged around his frame. He drew his fist back, gathered the full power of the First Limit, and punched with far greater force than anything he had thrown before.

Max punched as well, and their fists collided.

Boom!

This time, the outcome changed. Rakan’s arm trembled, and his bronze aura convulsed violently. The force of Max’s fist tore through Rakan’s arm, surged into his shoulder, and swept across his entire body. Rakan’s feet dragged backward over the stage, gouging two long trenches into the dark gold stone.

The entire arena froze. Rakan had been forced back, and it had been done with a fist. A pure and unadorned fist.

Max lowered his hand without a word. Rakan looked down at his own trembling arm, and for the first time in the battle, genuine surprise showed on his face.

Then Max moved.

He crossed the distance in a single step and drove a punch toward Rakan’s chest. Rakan crossed both arms to block.

Boom!

Rakan was shoved backward again, and Max pursued him instantly. One punch crashed against Rakan’s guard, another knocked his elbow aside, and a third landed squarely on his shoulder and tilted his entire body.

Rakan gritted his teeth and answered with a knee strike, but Max caught it with his palm. The impact unleashed another shockwave, yet Max’s arm did not so much as waver. He twisted at the waist and buried his own knee in Rakan’s abdomen.

Boom!

Rakan’s body folded slightly.

The disciples of the War God Palace stared at the screen in stunned silence.

"Impossible."

"Rakan is being pushed back?"

"That is the First Limit!"

"Who in the world can dominate the First Limit of the War God Body with pure physical strength?"

Inside the Eternal Hourglass, the participants were no less shocked.

Damian Voss watched with narrowed eyes. "His physical foundation rose by far too much."

Orion Starfall spoke softly. "But how? Is the War God Body not the strongest body cultivation method in the world? How could Max surpass a War God Body?"

Kaiden Voidmere’s gaze remained deep and unreadable. "There is a legend about a technique called the Seven Divine Veins. It is said that by opening the seven divine veins hidden within one’s body, a cultivator could lay the foundation for the strongest physical body in the world. With the power it grants, one could supposedly shatter stars with nothing more than a flick of the fingers."

"What? How could a technique that powerful even exist?" Orion turned to stare at Kaiden in shock.

Even Damian was left speechless. Destroying stars with a mere flick of the fingers was godlike power even by the standards of the Divine Realm, and he simply could not understand how any single technique could grant a person that much strength.

Kaiden continued. "I heard from my master that no human has ever succeeded in opening all Seven Divine Veins. The difficulty of the technique is so extreme that even the Primordials only managed to reach the fourth vein. Because of that terrifying difficulty, the Seven Divine Veins technique was lost in ancient times, and I doubt even the Primordials ever possessed the complete version."

He looked toward Max and added, "As for how Max managed to open the first of the Seven Divine Veins, I have no idea at all."

Both Orion and Damian fell silent at his words. Neither of them had expected such a body cultivation method to exist, let alone one with a history like that behind it.

Aurelian Lareth’s expression darkened even further.

On the stage, Rakan finally steadied himself. A thin line of blood appeared at the corner of his mouth. He wiped it away with his thumb and studied the red stain for a moment. Then he smiled. It was not a casual smile, and it was not an arrogant one. It was a smile blazing with pure excitement.

"Max Morgan," Rakan said slowly, "you truly are worth fighting."

Max stood before him with the power of the Vein of Origin rumbling steadily through his body.

"Then fight properly."

Rakan laughed and charged forward again, but this time Max met him even more directly.

Their fists collided again and again, and every collision rang out like divine drums being struck above the world. Rakan’s War Blood Awakening granted him terrifying strength, but Max’s Vein of Origin had made his physical foundation absurdly stable.

No matter how ferocious Rakan’s attacks became, Max did not crumble, did not lose his balance, and did not give ground. Instead, he slowly began to seize control of the battle’s rhythm.

Rakan punched, and Max blocked before answering with a counter. Rakan kicked, and Max stepped inside the arc to strike his ribs. Rakan attempted a shoulder slam, and Max met the charge shoulder against shoulder and forced him back half a step.

The longer they fought, the clearer the truth became. With the First Vein open, Max was no longer merely matching Rakan’s First Limit. He was beginning to dominate it.

The Divine Realm was shaken to its core.

At the Black Dragon Clan, the disciples exploded into wild cheering.

"Max!"

"He is pushing Rakan back!"

"He is beating the First Limit of the War God Body!"

"Brother Max is insane!"

Lady Virelia finally allowed a faint smile to touch her face. The seven family heads exchanged glances, and the astonishment in their eyes was impossible to conceal.

Matthew Grimes exhaled slowly. "The Divine Realm will remember this battle."

At the War God Palace, the disciples grew tense, yet their fighting spirit refused to collapse. Instead, many of them began roaring once more, and this time their voices carried real urgency.

"Rakan!"

"Open the second limit!"

"Show him the true War God Body!"

"First Warlord, you cannot lose in a contest of body strength!"

In a shadowed corner, Saint Reiner watched the screen with narrowed eyes, and his entire attention rested on Max rather than Rakan.

Back inside the Eternal Hourglass, Max’s fist smashed through Rakan’s guard and struck him square in the chest.

Boom!

Rakan was hurled backward more than ten steps, and every step cracked the arena floor beneath him. He finally came to a stop, lowered his head, and released a long, deep breath.

The bronze light of the First Limit still burned around him, but the confidence in his eyes had transformed into something sharper. There was respect in his gaze now, along with excitement and an even fiercer hunger for battle.

Max stood across from him with the Vein of Origin still rumbling within his body, his expression calm and unshakable.

Rakan slowly raised his head.

"The First Limit is not enough," he said.

Max smiled faintly. "I noticed."

Rakan’s grin returned.

"Then let us go higher."
