Chapter 1823: First Round - 5

Revona finally opened her eyes.

A strange void-colored light appeared in her pupils.

The hammer reached her.

Then it vanished.

It simply became nothing.

The golden flames disappeared first, as if a hole had been carved into their existence. Then the hammer force collapsed, and the pressure following behind it also scattered into empty ripples. Caelum’s body still moved forward because of momentum, but the attack he had released was gone before it could touch Revona.

The entire arena fell silent for a brief moment.

Then the whispers exploded.

"What just happened?"

"His attack disappeared?"

"No, it did not disappear normally. It was nullified."

"That is the Void Origin Eyes?"

Caelum’s expression changed greatly, but he reacted quickly. He pulled back his hammer and spun in place, releasing a ring of golden fire around his body. Several flame-forged weapons appeared in the air, including spears, swords, axes, and chains, all burning with the same divine forging flame.

"Let me see how many attacks you can erase at once!"

He roared and swung his hammer forward.

The flame-forged weapons shot toward Revona from every direction.

Revona stood still.

Her Void Origin Eyes glowed deeper.

One spear vanished.

Then one sword.

Then three axes disappeared at the same time.

A chain reached her ankle, but the moment it entered the range of her gaze, the burning links broke apart into faint void ripples. The remaining weapons circled around her, trying to attack from angles outside her direct line of sight, but Revona only turned her head slightly. Wherever her eyes passed, the attacks were erased.

Max’s gaze sharpened.

This was different.

When he had fought Revona before, her Void Origin Eyes had already been powerful, but they had not been this smooth.

Back then, there had been limits. Her eyes could make attacks turn into nothingness, but the timing, range, and control had not reached this level. If someone attacked fast enough, with enough physical power, or from a close enough distance, she could still be forced into a difficult situation.

But now, her eyes had clearly awakened further.

Caelum also realized this.

His expression became ugly as he backed away and raised his hammer with both hands. The golden armor on his body opened slightly, releasing streams of blazing light, and a massive furnace image appeared behind him. The furnace roared with fire, and countless divine runes appeared across the hammer’s surface.

The participants on the pillars became serious.

"He is using his strongest technique."

"That furnace image is not ordinary. It should be the core inheritance of the Brightforge Clan."

"If even this gets erased, then her eyes are too unreasonable."

Caelum roared, "Divine Forge Hammer, Heaven-Melting Descent!"

The massive furnace image poured all its flames into the hammer.

Then Caelum leapt into the air and smashed downward.

This strike was far stronger than all his previous attacks combined. The hammer carried enough heat to distort the stage itself, and the golden flames condensed into a giant burning hammer that descended like a falling sun. Even through the barrier, many participants felt a wave of heat brush against them.

Revona looked up.

Her eyes remained calm.

The void-colored light in her pupils expanded.

The falling sun touched her gaze.

Then a hole appeared in it.

The golden hammer image lost its center first. Then the surrounding flames collapsed inward. The heat vanished. The pressure vanished. The divine runes vanished. The entire technique, which had been powerful enough to threaten most participants in the final hundred, disappeared before it could touch her.

Caelum fell from the air, his face pale.

His real hammer was still in his hand, but the strongest force behind the strike had been nullified completely. Before he could stabilize himself, Revona appeared in front of him with one finger raised toward his forehead.

She had not even used a weapon.

Caelum froze.

Angelina Valerius announced the result calmly.

[Winner: Revona.]

[Caelum Brightforge Eliminated.]

A beam of light descended and removed Caelum from the stage.

Revona closed her eyes again and returned to her pillar.

For a few seconds, no one spoke.

Then the arena erupted into discussion.

"That is ridiculous."

"How are you supposed to fight her if your attacks disappear before reaching her?"

"Caelum Brightforge was not weak at all. His strongest strike was erased like smoke."

"She did not even look tired."

"Those eyes are terrifying."

Max stood on his pillar and watched Revona silently.

His expression did not show fear, but his eyes had become more serious. He remembered his earlier battle with her very clearly. At that time, he had defeated her because of his overwhelming physical strength and because her Void Origin Eyes had not fully awakened. He had closed the distance, pressured her body, and forced her into a situation where her eyes could not completely erase his raw power before he overwhelmed her.

But now things would not be so simple.

Her eyes had grown stronger.

Their range had improved. Their stability had improved. Their ability to nullify attacks from multiple directions had improved. Most importantly, she seemed much calmer while using them, which meant the burden on her body might have decreased as well.

’If I fight her again, relying only on brute force will not be enough,’ Max thought.

He looked at Revona’s closed eyes.

’Last time, I defeated her before those eyes could truly control the battle. Now, if she opens them properly, every attack I use might be erased before it reaches her.’

For a moment, Max imagined how his different powers would fare against her.

Ordinary sword light would likely be nullified.

Divine King Punishment might be erased if it entered her gaze directly.

Even space-based movements could become risky if her eyes could target the origin of the movement rather than the movement itself.

As for Emotion Severing Path, Max was not sure.

That uncertainty made his interest grow.

On another pillar, Damian Voss also looked toward Revona with a rare serious expression.

"Void Origin Eyes," he murmured. "So they have awakened to that level."

Orion Starfall’s smile became thoughtful. "This conference really has too many troublesome people."

Rakan Thorne grinned, but even he looked more focused than before. "So if I punch her, will the punch disappear, or will her eyes fail before my fist reaches her?"

Ervin glanced at him and said calmly, "That depends on whether your fist reaches her before she sees enough of it."

Rakan laughed. "Then I just need to punch faster."

Kaiden Voidmere watched Revona quietly, his silver-gray eyes reflecting a faint void light of their own. Unlike the others, his reaction was harder to read, but Max could tell that he was paying attention. As someone connected to the void path himself, Kaiden likely understood more about Revona’s eyes than most people here.

Princess Rosaline’s expression also became solemn.

"Her eyes are almost unfair in direct combat," one of the Lunarian geniuses beside her said.

Rosaline nodded slightly. "Almost. But no power is truly without weakness. The problem is whether anyone here can find it before losing."

Revona returned to her pillar and remained silent, as if the battle had not mattered much to her.

Max watched her for a moment longer before looking back at the central stage.

The final round was becoming more interesting.

Damian’s sword was terrifying.

Rakan’s body was overwhelming.

Orion’s star power was precise and controlled.

Kaiden’s void was deep and quiet.

Ervin’s abyssal spear was strange and dangerous.

Rosaline’s radiant suppression was extremely clean.

And Revona’s Void Origin Eyes could nullify attacks as if they had never existed.

Max smiled faintly.

The first main round had not even ended yet, but the true threats were already revealing themselves one by one.

And that made the coming battles worth waiting for.
