Chapter 1409: New Deal To End It All
Rejoicing erupted all over Earth.
People flooded the streets, hugging strangers, crying, laughing, and screaming in pure joy. Families embraced tightly. Children ran around waving makeshift flags with Father Black’s face on them. In every city, every village, every home, the celebration was wild and unstoppable.
The Lenny family had done it.
They had tricked the angels.
They had won the battle against Heaven itself.
It was unprecedented.
Meanwhile, in space, sitting on his throne atop the dead sun, Lucifer raised his hands and clapped.
Once.
Twice.
Three times.
A broad, genuine smile stretched across his face.
He leaned back, still clapping slowly, clearly entertained.
"I must admit," he said with a low chuckle, "the cunning of human beings never fails to amuse me. You monkeys really outdid yourselves this time."
Father Black waved a dismissive hand.
"Do you think we’re fools, Lucifer?" he called out. "We knew you were aware of the plan. We knew you were watching the whole time. The only reason you didn’t interfere is because humans winning against the angels was also a win for you."
He paused, then added pointedly,
"And it’s also true that you secretly fear Angel Michael. He’s the only being in all of creation who can actually defeat you. He did it once before — kicked you out of Heaven. Surely he could do it again."
Lucifer’s brows narrowed for a moment.
Then he smiled again — sharp and dangerous.
Father Black sighed. That smile was all the confirmation he needed.
Slowly, Father Black rose from his seat and began floating upward into the air.
"According to the contract," he announced, voice carrying across the entire arena, "Earth shall now face the armies of Lucifer Morningstar in combat."
The moment the words left his mouth, Seraphina stepped forward from Lucifer’s side. She waved her hand, and a massive swarm of fallen angels poured into the arena, quickly occupying the spots the heavenly host had just vacated.
"The fallen angels are ready to fight for Lord Lucifer," she declared proudly.
But before she could finish, Father Black interrupted.
"I disagree."
Everyone froze.
All eyes turned to him.
Father Black repeated calmly, "I disagree."
He continued, "I am not in the mood to have another long, drawn-out battle of wits."
Lucifer’s gaze narrowed dangerously.
Just then, Odin floated forward from the Earth side, stopping beside Father Black. The Allfather’s single eye gleamed with suspicion.
"What is the meaning of this?" Odin demanded. "What do you mean we will battle no more? If you are tired of leading Earth toward a more prosperous era, then step aside and let me rule instead."
The arena went deathly quiet, waiting for Father Black’s response.
Father Black turned to Odin, his expression calm but cold.
"And if I let you lead," he asked quietly, "how exactly do you plan to do it?"
Odin answered immediately, voice booming with self-assurance.
"Firstly, I will ensure that only the gods fight the battles. After all, you brought mere children into a war that could end the world. That was great irresponsibility."
He continued, "After which I was going to—"
But before he could finish, Father Black cut in smoothly.
"...submit to Lucifer and let him win?"
Odin’s mouth opened before his brain could catch up.
"Yes—"
He realized what he had just said and tried to backtrack quickly. "I meant that I would ensure Earth would win, of course—"
Father Black raised a hand, cutting him off.
"You don’t need to talk anymore. We have long investigated you and the other gods on your side."
The moment the words left his mouth, Kanada, Athena, Perseus, Morgana and Crusher moved like shadows.
Their blades flashed.
In an instant, several gods standing near Odin were sliced clean in half. Golden ichor and divine blood sprayed across the arena floor. The gory sight made even the people watching on Earth gasp in shock.
Odin’s single eye widened.
"What is the meaning of this?!" he roared. "Are you breaking the long-standing alliance of over a hundred years with the gods?"
Father Black’s voice remained steady.
"My home is not interested in having gods that submit to evil."
Silence fell for a moment.
Then Odin’s face began to morph — shifting from shock to cold fury.
"How long have you known?" he asked, voice low and dangerous.
Father Black shrugged lightly.
"Even the children participating in the battle had known. You made little to no effort in hiding it. Because you were pompous and high above, you lost touch with how normal people think. Therefore, you believed we were stupid."
Odin suddenly spread his hands, divine energy blazing around his body.
"Do you think you are strong enough to face me? I am a higher god!"
His power surged, coating him in radiant divine light.
But then it began to seize and stutter.
Odin frowned.
Kanada stepped forward, her voice icy.
"You are such a fool, Odin. Did you really think we didn’t know the source of your power?"
She gestured toward Earth.
Right now, all across the planet, soldiers were dragging priests out of Odin’s temples. Temples were being torn down — pillars smashed, statues toppled, roofs caved in. One soldier ran up to Nikky, saluted sharply, and reported:
"All the priests of Odin have been captured."
Nikky nodded once, her expression cold.
"Kill them all. Any vermin that stands against our world will be purged."
The order was carried out without hesitation.
Odin felt his power wane sharply, his divine energy flickering like a dying flame.
He snarled, "Just because my temples are destroyed does not mean I have lost!"
He reached desperately for one of his ravens.
Slicing sounds rang out.
Odin looked down — only to see little Elara, Father Black’s daughter, ripping both ravens apart with her small hands. Blood and feathers flew everywhere.
Elara’s eyes glowed with a terrifying light as she stared coldly at the god.
"These are the source of your power, are they not?"
Demeter, her mother, spoke next, her voice carrying the weight of the Earth itself.
"The gods of Earth hereby denounce Odin as a god. He shall be stripped of everything and exiled."
The moment she finished, Alexander had already appeared behind Odin.
"Unfortunately," the conqueror said with a dark smile, "the Lenny family does not believe in exile. We kill all our enemies."
Slash.
Odin was sliced cleanly in two.
His body fell apart, golden ichor spilling across the arena floor.
On Earth, the scenes of temples being destroyed and priests being executed played out on every screen. People watched in stunned silence at first — then erupted into another wave of celebration mixed with awe. The Lenny family wasn’t just winning battles. They were purging threats from within.
The arena remained deathly quiet for a moment as the reality of what had just happened settled in.
The old alliances were dead.
And the Lenny family had just shown the universe exactly how they dealt with traitors.
