Sasha took a deep breath as she kept staring at the storm, and she wasn’t buying herself time or to collect some courage. She was staring at the storm because she could resonate with the storm itself and tried to communicate with it. She didn’t know why she thought she could communicate with it, but if the dark figures were born from the storm, that meant she could speak with it as well.
She slowly put her hand into the storm, and she felt like her fingers were being sliced, ripped, crushed, and ruptured at the same time. It was so painful that she retracted her fingers from the storm and she was amazed when both Elena and Mykel could survive and endure it.
"You’re not getting sucked which means you’re strong enough to get in there," Amaryllis said as she looked at Sasha’s fingers that looked burned.
"Yes, but I think I can do something about this storm. I think I can try to communicate with it," Sasha nodded her head as she looked up.
"Communicate?" Elena furrowed her eyebrows and looked at Sasha with a confused expression.
Sasha explained to the three of them about the dark figure’s origin and Mykel’s source of power. She was capable of manipulating the abyss itself and that alone was enough to say that she could do something about the storm as well.
The three of them gave it a thought about what Sasha said, and they believed that she could do it. But, just because she could tame a baby lion, that didn’t mean she could tame the mother as easily as taming the baby.
"A turtle is hard on the outside and soft on the inside. You can’t try to penetrate or manipulate the abyss from here. You need to go in there and do it from the inside," Elena pointed out since she had tried to suppress and make the storm disappear.
"I’m thinking about that as well, and I believe that’s the only way," Sasha nodded in agreement. "Wish me luck," she looked at the others with a gentle smile.
The moment she entered the storm, she couldn’t help but scream because of how painful it was. She was in pain and she couldn’t stop running back to where she came from, but she ended up losing the direction even though she had just entered the storm. The worst thing was her scream couldn’t be heard by the others even though it was just silence there.
When she was screaming in pain and her body couldn’t endure it anymore, she realized that she would rather be tortured in hell for eternity than stay in there for even a second. It was so painful that she had no idea what to do but feel the pain all over her body and the fact that her body regenerated faster than the wounds that the storm inflicted on her.
She struggled and she lost her mind and senses after a minute had passed since she entered the storm. She then snapped back to reality and then she felt the pain again, making her lose her main for the second time.
It kept going on like that over and over until suddenly she felt a presence that approached her. She didn’t have the chance to glance at it because she was thrown out of the storm before even she realized it.
Mykel, Elena, and Amaryllis checked on her condition, but they could see the emptiness in her eyes. They knew that look, and they didn’t want to blame her for failing, and they didn’t even want to tell her that she was in there for only half a minute.
"Let her rest," Mykel said without showing any expression. "It’s time for us to keep trying and see how far we can go," he looked at Elena and Amaryllis.
They both nodded their heads and decided to take a turn to enter the storm.
Sasha was lying on the ground and faintly heard Mykel’s, Elena’s, and Amaryllis’ voices around her. She could hear them talking, but the words came into her left ear and went out of her right ear without knowing what they were talking about. She was so broken inside that she stayed there for years while the three of them kept trying.
"Mama..." A baby’s voice could be heard right next to Sasha’s ear.
Sasha snapped back to reality as she jolted and hurriedly held her stomach with both arms. She looked worried and scared at the same time, making the three of them look at her.
"Are you okay?" Elena asked as she went down to her knees next to Sasha. She looked at Sasha who kept rubbing her stomach and she wondered if something had happened to Sasha.
Mykel looked at Sasha’s worried expression rather than scared and then looked at how she kept rubbing her stomach. He knew what she was worried about and so he decided to approach her.
"I’m okay. I’m just having a bad dream, and I think I’m back now," Sasha answered the moment she knew that Mykel noticed what she was doing. "I’m sorry..." she continued as she looked at Mykel.
"It’s alright. You survived in there for quite a while and the fact that you’re still here with us is already amazing," Elena said and she started to realize why Sasha kept rubbing her stomach, knowing Sasha was left alone with Mykel.
Sasha nodded her head as she started to have nightmares when she looked at the storm. She could feel the pain that lurked on her back and crawled up to her neck, but she tried to calm herself down even though she was trembling in fear.
"How long have you been doing it?" Sasha asked them.
"We don’t remember. We lost count honestly," Elena answered as she chuckled like it was funny to her rather than haunting her.
"How can you guys do that? The pain..." Sasha asked and paused because she didn’t want to be looked down at by them.
"It was painful, but we brushed it off because we are used to this," Elena answered as she showed a weak smile. "Jeanne and the others would be saying the same thing. They were the ones who through a lot of hardship than anyone else," she continued and she looked sad when she reminisced about the good times and the hardship of those people.
Sasha looked at Mykel and she didn’t want to be judged by him again. She realized that she was showing her weakness to them even though they were the only beings that existed in the whole universe. She didn’t want to make the same mistake again, and she wanted to be useful to Mykel, and not drag him down.
"I understand," Sasha stood up as she looked at the storm with determination. "I’m going in," she said with confidence and went straight into the storm without hesitation.
Elena and Amaryllis were amazed by Sasha’s sudden change, and they were glad that she didn’t give up.
"Is she doing it for herself or is she doing it for the baby inside her?" Elena asked as she looked at Mykel.
"What baby?" Mykel asked back and then walked toward the storm. "We can tell if she’s pregnant or not, there’s nothing inside her. She was just imagining things," he said and waited for Sasha.

Elena and Amaryllis stood beside Mykel and watched the storm from up close. They were counting up until one minute and Sasha was still in there.
They were surprised when the count reached three minutes, and then not long after that, Sasha was thrown out of the storm. But unlike those three, she was fine and managed to land on her feet with a determined expression.
"I’m going in again," Sasha said and then walked past them and entered the storm.
The three of them looked at each other and then Elena decided to join in, but suddenly Amaryllis stopped her from entering.
"Something is changing about the storm," Amaryllis said as she looked at the top of the storm. "I’m not sure if I’m right or wrong, but can you feel it? The presence is weakening," she pointed out.
At first, Mykel and Elena didn’t think the presence got weaker until the storm started to move slower and drastically. They then took a few steps back and looked at Strom from the distance and something changed. The storm that used to be pitch black slowly turned dark purple as the top of the storm had stopped moving completely.
When they were busy observing the storm, this time Sasha was thrown out with missing limbs. She was unable to move, but her determination made her crawl to enter the storm again. Mykel had to go there and stop her from going in because she looked exhausted.

"I still can go, Mykel," Sasha said as her limbs started to grow back. "Let me in," she added.
"I wouldn’t ask for your help if I knew you couldn’t do it," Mykel said as he stared at Sasha. "You have done more than we can do. Take it slowly since we’re not in a rush," he continued.
Sasha looked at Mykel and she thought that Mykel would be disappointed in her again, but after what he said, it gave her peace. The adrenaline and the fear inside her immediately disappeared and she started to feel tired.
"There’s something in there," Sasha said after she forgot to tell them about the presence that she felt. "The storm isn’t just a storm, but there’s something in there that’s controlling it," she looked at them with a serious expression even though her eyes could barely open.
"What did you see?" Mykel asked.
"A dark figure, but it was way stronger than the ones you have," Sasha answered.
