Chapter 913: Succubus getting into a fight
Strax let out a long, tired sigh as he remained seated on one of the destroyed blocks of the main arena. Small fragments of metal still slowly trickled from the ceiling due to the constant shockwaves that coursed through the entire hall. Honestly, at that point, he didn’t even know why he still tried to understand certain women around him. There was clearly some kind of collective failure of reasoning among creatures too powerful.
Because it simply didn’t make sense.
On the other side of the arena, Lithara and Albedo were literally trying to rip each other’s souls out with their fists.
No refined magic.
No complex techniques.
No demonic elegance.
Just sincere physical violence.
And absurdly destructive.
A monstrous impact exploded in the center of the arena as their fists collided again. The pressure of the collision coursed through the entire hall like a compressed explosion, making the reinforced walls vibrate violently. Parts of the metallic floor cracked even further as a shockwave kicked up dust, residual black ice, and fragments of stone all around.
"I GOT HERE FIRST!" Lithara yelled as she charged forward again.
Her fist, enveloped in red mana, shot through the air at brutal speed before striking Albedo directly in the face. The impact sent the other succubus flying several meters back, partially destroying a column in the process.
Albedo crashed through the entire black stone structure.
Then she flew out of the dust seconds later.
Completely furious.
"THIS DOESN’T WORK AS PROPERTY RIGHTS, YOU DEMONIC BITCH!"
She spun her body in the air before descending like a missile directly onto Lithara. The ensuing collision caused the arena floor to partially collapse as both exchanged an absurd sequence of blows without any structural concern.
Punches.
Knee strikes.
Elbow strikes.
Kicks.
Demonic mana exploded around them continuously as the two literally pummeled each other like extremely beautiful and completely unbalanced primitive creatures.
Strax watched this with a blank expression of mental exhaustion.
"Honestly..." he murmured, partially resting his face on one hand. "Their lack of awareness has reached a level I can no longer comprehend."
Another impact pierced the hall.
Albedo landed such a powerful punch to Lithara’s stomach that the resulting pressure literally shattered several metal plates near the side wall. Lithara spat blood, grinned like a satisfied psychopath, and immediately returned a brutal headbutt to Albedo’s face.
"YOU’RE TOO NOISY!"
"AND YOU’RE AN ARROGANT OLD WOMAN!"
"OLD WOMAN?!"
Lithara’s aura literally exploded.
Red mana flooded the entire arena as her ruby hair raged violently like living fire. She grabbed Albedo by the face and dragged her dozens of meters across the arena floor, opening a continuous crater in the reinforced metal surface.
Strax slowly closed his eyes.
Tired.
Very tired.
"Why do all the women in my life like to solve everything with their fists...?"
"Well... I guess I’m an exception."
The calm voice came from near him.
Strax partially opened his eyes and slowly turned his face.
Frieren stood a few meters behind him, casually swinging her light wood staff. Her long silver hair flowed smoothly over her shoulders as she observed the destruction around her with absolute tranquility. Honestly, her expression looked like someone watching rain fall outside a window.
Completely indifferent.
She calmly walked towards him as another explosion shook the entire hall behind them.
"So..." Frieren asked as she watched Albedo crash through an entire wall at the back of the arena. "What exactly is this?"
Strax let out another tired sigh.
"Succubus territorial dispute."
Frieren remained silent for a few seconds as she watched Lithara pull Albedo by the hair before the two literally rolled around exchanging punches on the destroyed floor.
"I understand."
"You clearly don’t understand."
"Not completely."
She then sat calmly beside him on the partially frozen wreckage of the arena. Even with two demonic entities brutally beating each other a few meters ahead, Frieren seemed absurdly comfortable.
Another shockwave swept through the hall.
She didn’t even react.
Strax slowly ran a hand through his white hair before continuing:
"They started arguing about who got there first."
Frieren nodded slowly.
"Succubus instinct." "Is that really a thing?"
"Yes."
She partially rested her staff on her legs as she continued watching the fight.
"Succubi are extremely territorial when they like a man."
Another explosion echoed in the background.
Albedo spun her body in the air before landing an absurdly violent kick to Lithara’s face, sending the other succubus flying directly against a reinforced wall.
Lithara emerged from the wall seconds later, already advancing back.
"SO YOU ADMIT YOU LIKE HIM!"
"YOU LIKE HIM TOO!"
"THAT’S NOT THE POINT!"
Frieren observed this for a few seconds before calmly commenting:
"They seem even."
"Unfortunately."
"Interesting."
Strax rested her elbows on her knees as she watched another explosion partially destroy the arena ceiling.
"So this is actually normal for succubi?"
Frieren nodded slightly.
"Their instincts are strong."
She glanced slightly at him.
"If they like a man, the urge to fight for him can become quite intense."
Strax was silent for a few seconds before asking:
"Is it like that for you too?"
Frieren slowly turned her face to him.
Her expression remained completely neutral.
"No."
"Not at all?"
She shook her head calmly.
"I lived thousands of years in seclusion as an elf."
Another monstrous rumble echoed through the hall in the background as Lithara and Albedo continued exchanging blows with absolute homicidal sincerity.
Frieren continued speaking as if nothing was happening.
"I literally only had sex once in my life."
This made Strax partially raise an eyebrow.
"Once?"
"That was enough."
"That sounds extremely depressing."
"It was functional."
She answered that with such nonchalance that Strax almost laughed.
Frieren then continued calmly:
"I only did it to produce a successor."
"Romantic."
"It wasn’t."
Strax let out a small, tired laugh as she continued:
"So I didn’t develop that kind of emotional or lustful impulse related to men."
The answer was so direct that Strax immediately pointed to himself.
"Not even for me?"
Frieren looked directly at him.
Her expression remained absurdly calm.
"You’re not a man."
Strax blinked slowly.
"...Thank you?"
"You’re a dragon."
She said that as if it were a completely logical distinction.
The problem was, coming from her, it probably was.
Strax continued staring at her for a few seconds before asking,
"Was that a yes or a no?"
Frieren remained silent for a few moments, seriously considering the question.
In the background, Albedo and Lithara were literally trying to drown each other inside a partially molten crater.
Then Frieren calmly replied,
"I would sit on your face right now and let you suck me."
Strax remained completely silent.
Frieren continued watching the succubi fight as if she had just commented on the weather.
"If that’s what you wanted to hear."
The silence that followed was so absurd that even the sound of the explosions in the background seemed distant for a few seconds.
Then Strax slowly turned his face to her.
Frieren remained completely serious.
Unashamed.
No provocation.
No emotional change whatsoever.
She simply stated it as a perfectly normal mathematical fact.
At the back of the arena, Lithara finally managed to grab Albedo by the neck before the two of them crashed through another entire wall of the hall.
Strax watched this for a few seconds.
Then he looked back at Frieren.
"You’re honestly worse than them."
Frieren tilted her head slightly.
"Why?"
"Because you say that sort of thing with the nonchalance of someone ordering tea."
She thought for a few seconds.
"I understand."
Another explosion ripped through the entire hall.
Frieren glanced quickly at the new crater appearing at the back of the arena before commenting:
"I think the red one is winning now."
"Unfortunately, I know exactly which one you mean."
Lithara had apparently decided that simply beating Albedo with a punch was no longer enough.
The situation had clearly gone beyond the normal territory of a succubus fight and entered some extremely specific type of demonic performative humiliation that Strax honestly didn’t have the mental energy to fully comprehend.
Everything happened too fast.
Albedo advanced again through the dust of the destroyed arena, surrounded by dark mana, as he prepared another brutal blow straight to Lithara’s face. The impact would probably have ripped half the structure from the nearby wall if it had landed.
But Lithara dodged.
Completely calm.
Too elegant.
She spun her body just enough to avoid the punch before grabbing Albedo’s arm and violently pulling her forward. Red mana exploded around them both as Lithara created dozens of shimmering threads in the air almost instantly.
The threads enveloped Albedo before she even realized it.
Arms.
Legs.
Waist.
Neck.
It all happened at an absurd speed.
Then Lithara pulled.
The force was so brutal that Albedo literally lost her balance in mid-air before being thrown directly against one of the destroyed columns of the arena. The impact made the ground tremble again as the mana threads tightened around her body like living demonic ropes.
"WHAT—?!"
Albedo tried to explode her own mana to escape.
It didn’t work.
Lithara had clearly already perceived her energy pattern during the fight. The red ropes reacted automatically to Albedo’s demonic flow, tightening even more each time she tried to use brute force to break free.
The result was absurdly problematic.
Because now Albedo was literally pinned against a huge column, partially suspended by the red threads, breathing heavily as she tried in vain to free herself.
Lithara slowly walked towards her.
Too calm.
The heels of her boots echoed through the destroyed hall as her red hair rippled behind her like living fire. The black dress remained impeccable despite the absurd fight that had just taken place, which honestly only made everything even more irritatingly theatrical.
Albedo immediately bared her teeth.
"LET GO—"
Lithara gently tugged at one of the threads.
Albedo froze mid-sentence.
Her face instantly turned red.
Strax watched this in absolute silence.
Lithara tilted her head slightly as she examined the other succubus bound by the demonic ropes.
"You’re very noisy."
"FUCK YOU!"
"See?"
She slowly pulled another thread.
Albedo literally trembled all over.
The silence that followed was so absurd that even Frieren partially turned her face to better observe the situation.
Lithara moved even closer to Albedo before gently holding her chin with one hand.
The whole scene seemed straight out of some extremely specific demonic fetish.
"Now I understand why he likes you," Lithara commented calmly. "You make interesting expressions."
Albedo looked ready to explode emotionally.
"I’M NOT MAKING ANY EXPRESSIONS!"
"You are now."
Strax remained seated on the wreckage of the arena, observing it with a completely dead look inside. Honestly, after continental wars, ancient monarchs, political crises, and problems involving Ouroboros...
This was perhaps the most mentally exhausting moment of the entire week.
Lithara then slowly pulled a few more threads, rearranging the ropes around Albedo’s body in a way that seemed dangerously calculated to be too coincidental.
The problem was that Albedo was clearly reacting physically to it.
Very much so.
"STOP MESSING WITH THAT!"
"Interesting."
"IT’S NOT INTERESTING!"
Lithara smiled.
That small, elegant, and utterly infernal smile of someone who had just discovered exactly which psychological button to push.
Strax watched this for a few seconds.
Then he spoke in a completely empty tone:
"...I got hard."
Frieren nodded immediately beside him.
"I got wet too."
The silence that followed was surreal.
Lithara paused for a moment.
Albedo blushed completely.
Strax slowly turned her face to Frieren.
She continued observing the scene with absolute scientific tranquility.
Like a researcher analyzing rare animal behavior.
"You can’t just say it like that," Strax murmured.
Frieren tilted her head slightly.
"Why?"
"Because that’s an extremely absurd thing to say naturally."
She thought for a few seconds before replying:
"It’s probably the smell in the air."
Strax blinked slowly.
"...Smell?"
Frieren nodded calmly.
"The succubi are releasing a lot of pheromones."
She casually pointed to Lithara and Albedo.
"Both of them."
Strax was silent for a few seconds before realizing.
Then she sighed deeply.
"...Ah."
Now it made sense.
The entire room was saturated with demonic mana, adrenaline, territorial aggression, and extremely unresolved sexual tension between two overly powerful succubi.
It literally looked like a demonic hormonal bomb about to cause collective brain damage.
Frieren continued talking as if she were explaining the weather.
"Your draconic body probably reacts quite a bit to it."
"Wonderful."
"I’m also partially sensitive."
"You just said that."
"Yes."
Meanwhile, Albedo remained pinned against the column, completely humiliated and furious at the same time.
"STOP TALKING LIKE I’M NOT HERE!"
Lithara pulled one of the ropes again.
Albedo let out an extremely suspicious sound mid-sentence.
The entire hall fell silent for two seconds.
Then Lithara smiled slowly.
"...Oh."
Albedo immediately panicked.
"DON’T MAKE THAT EXPRESSION!"
"You’re surprisingly funny."
"I HATE YOU!"
"Not completely."
"COMPLETELY!"
Frieren observed the scene thoughtfully before commenting:
"They’ll probably have sex at some point."
Strax partially covered his face with one hand.
"Please don’t put that image in my head."
"But it makes sense."
"I KNOW it makes sense, that’s exactly the problem."
