Chapter 1410: Chapter 43: Whose Husband (Part 2)

She stood there, covering her jade hair crown, letting the wind billow her elegant clothes into chaos. For some reason, her expression remained unchanged, keeping that gentle and warm smile, like a kind elder.

It wasn’t until Valentina had flown far within the Wutong Tree toward the meeting hall previously pointed out to her that Heidlin sighed and returned to Valentina’s room.

She walked forward and meticulously tidied up the tableware Valentina had used, like a truly diligent maid.

Next, she arranged the couch, even smoothing the bedding scattered on it.

It was then, while straightening the bedding, that Heidlin caught a glimpse out of the corner of her eye and suddenly noticed a faint pink hue between the pillow and bedding creases.

She paused for a moment, then extended her fair fingers and gently pinched; the pink quickly picked up...

It was a peach blossom tinged with an eerie crimson aura.

"Kononinnihamugasô...mujin sô, mu shujô sô...mu hisashi mono sô gaarimasu..."

Upon touching it, a series of terrifying whispers and mutterings exploded around her ears, as if they wanted to return from some illusory place to swallow everything.

But Heidlin seemed unfazed, she only smiled gently at the peach blossom in her hand, gently raised her index finger to her lips, 𝚏𝕣𝕖𝚎𝚠𝚎𝚋𝚗𝐨𝐯𝕖𝕝.𝕔𝐨𝕞

"Shh..."

"..."

With her soft reminder, the terrifying mutterings stopped instantly, and the peach blossom gradually lost color, turning into ash and fading into nothing.

Everything quieted down, and Heidlin elegantly adjusted her hair crown, then leisurely hummed an unknown tune as she pushed the dining cart out of the room, leaving the room neat and tranquil.

...

...

"By the way, Master Tao, how can I nurture you so that you can regain your energy?"

During her flight, Valentina suddenly thought of this and mentally asked Master Tao.

"How can you nurture? You trivial being, let me sunbathe and water me when you have time."

"Just like this?"

"Just like this."

"Pff..."

"Why are you laughing, trivial Phoenix?"

"Nothing...just felt like truly taking care of a tree."

"Hehe, trivial Phoenix, do you believe I could turn you into a tree now and take care of you?"

"I’m sorry..."

Valentina stuck out her tongue sheepishly. As she flew, numerous members of the Six Snow Mountain Tribes within the Wutong Tree noticed her frost-laden ascending figure.

Though they had never met her, the figure etched into their bloodline made them exclaim in wonder, some even knelt in reverence.

"But where is your body? Is it at the roots? Do I need to move the World Tree Root out for sun and water?"

"...I see you are living dangerously. No need for such a hassle, I can emerge a little of myself, you just need to expose it to sun and water."

"Emerge?"

In the next second, atop Valentina’s white hair, a peach blossom bud "popped" crookedly like a cowlick, swaying in the wind. The ticklish sensation startled Valentina, making her cover her head, exclaiming in her mind,

"You you you...are you in my head?!"

"Where else?"

"How is this even done?"

"Chaos related to life energy, I once battled it directly. Although I survived, part of me got polluted by it, yet I incidentally obtained some of its traits..."

"Oh, no wonder you just need sunlight for nurturance."

"Hehe, trivial being, maybe one day I could grow directly from your head?"

Valentina pursed her lips, carefully touched the flower on her head, but the next moment it "zoomed" back, disappearing without a trace, surely hid away.

Soon she arrived at the meeting hall, where the Phoenix Base used to be displayed.

The massive doors were wide open, at the entrance two clueless Trolls were scratching their heads. Seeing Valentina arrive but not knowing to greet her, they curiously eyed this beautiful demi-human they’ve never seen, seeming to silently ask,

"Where are you from, why have I never seen you?"

Valentina smiled wryly, stepped past them, and entered the meeting hall’s corridor. From afar, she saw within the grand space the enormous throne and the exquisite Divine Weapon laying upon it.

It was the Phoenix King’s Sword.

Besides, the voices from several people discussing drifted over,

"...You mean, in the ruins of Storm Sea, you and the Black Chief unearthed a lot of such items? Known as...Cardinal?"

"I’ve seen this before, in the Turand Family. But the energy they used is different from yours, they wanted Moon Stone, yet your energy seems different."

"Hmm, ever since we acquired these items years ago, we’ve never charged them, yet they still work... maybe the energy comes from the sun?"

Valentina quickly entered the meeting hall, and in an instant, everyone felt as if a chilling wind from the Snow Mountain in the Northern Realm swept inside. Their eyes incredulously turned toward the entrance, beholding the tall, stunningly beautiful and sacred demi-human.
