Chapter 1366: Chapter 31: True and False Prophecies (Part 2)

Before leaving the South Continent, I gave my carriage to Rafael to help her and her companions cross the continent and return home. In my haste, I forgot to take Renie’s clothes that were left in the carriage...

Frankly, it wouldn’t be appropriate to take those clothes right away. If when I last cooperated with Rafael for an assassination, I was holding another woman’s clothing, she might have exploded with anger mid-fight...

It’s both surprising and understandable that Rafael burned Renie’s clothes.

"My landing on the South Continent was truly an accident, and Emhardt can testify."

"Huh? Me? Um..."

Luckily, Emhardt has no hands, otherwise he would doubtfully point to his own face.

When Renie looked over, it seemed like a layer of cold sweat appeared on his book cover. Hesitating, he timidly said,

"In... indeed..."

"Heh, and who exactly is this Helair that Fisher just mentioned? Has he been flirting around in the past?"

Renie crossed her arms and asked Emhardt expressionlessly, scaring him into taking a step back. He looked at Fisher beside him, then at Renie, and quickly said,

"I... I don’t know... After I went back in time, I was captured by the Holy Descendants and didn’t get to see what he was doing... This... all of this has nothing to do with me! Lady Renie, please understand!"

"You’re just a Holy Object, how can it have any relation to you?"

Though Renie seemed to be asking Emhardt, she was actually directing the question at Fisher. After speaking this sentence, she looked towards Fisher, seemingly upset about how he anxiously mentioned another person’s name when he hadn’t fully regained consciousness.

She once said she wasn’t much concerned with the constraints people impose on themselves, but only under one condition: as long as those women don’t provoke her.

The mocking words came close to her face, though through Fisher’s mouth, it was clear how much he valued the owner of that name, right?

Upon hearing Renie’s query, Fisher’s expression turned serious, as if he wasn’t being questioned, but had something significant to discuss with her.

"Speaking of Helair, Renie, she is an angel I met in the Holy Land, a Mythical Species created by the Heavenly Lock. During the chaotic disaster caused by a transferee in the Ideal Country, both she and I fell into the chaotic ocean. She was polluted, but I was mostly unscathed... at least on the surface. A new Mythical Species Demon Species was born within the Ideal Country due to this event, and she was sent by the angels under the alias ’Paimon’...

"Perhaps because she appeared as a ’Demon God’ but was actually an ’Angel’, she not only survived the destruction of the Holy Land in the war but also avoided the Mother Goddess’s reckoning against demons. For centuries, she has been active in the world. After I returned, she awakened two Eighteenth Rank demons from the Abyss, and now she’s hiding within Nali’s army... The most crucial point is, just as I was about to leave the past and return to the present, the Mother Goddess was also born, and it seems that her birth is somewhat related to her, or rather to an elf called ’Gui’ who seems connected to you..."

Renie paused slightly, then began to ponder this name,

"Gui?"

"Yes, Gui, one of the three sons of the World Tree’s elves. I met her in the past, and it was she and Helair who helped me enter the chaos through the Mythical Rank. She looks exactly like you, absolutely identical...

Fisher briefed Renie on his encounter with Gui, especially mentioning how she called him special and linking it to Helair’s previous statement that ’Fisher is the key to solving the Doomsday Prophecy’, revealing all this to Renie.

The more Renie listened, the more confusion showed on her face. She mumbled,

"Gui, Helair... Paimon, I have indeed heard these names, but know little about them. My predecessor, revered as the Mother Goddess by humans, fought the gods in the Spirit Realm at the end of the Mythical War, and perished. I thus sprouted into existence. I am not her, nor is she me; we are merely two entities created by the Authority. I do not possess her memories; I can only occasionally and vaguely glimpse scenes she once saw... But I know the Authority descended upon this world roughly ten thousand years ago...

"If she was born when you left, then your return would align with ten thousand years ago. Time-wise, her existence and experiences vastly surpass mine, and her knowledge of this world is far greater. Even now I’m seeking the truth behind her participation in the war, a mystery unknown even to the likes of Ramasitia. She was born into the Spirit Realm of this world ten thousand years ago, coexisting peacefully with the world for such a long time, so why did she suddenly intervene in the Mythical War?"

"As for what you mentioned... Doomsday Prophecy..."

As Renie spoke, she subtly glanced at Fisher, who was deep in thought and unaware of her gaze. Her face showed an inexplicable expression before she suddenly said,

"Fisher, I don’t believe you are the key to solving the Doomsday Prophecy. I think you don’t need to be involved in this matter either."
