Chapter 2580: Chapter 1170: Lin Baici: Wei Zi, I’m Super Strong Now! (2)

"Bai?"

Li Wei froze, then hurriedly stuck his head out to look outside.

It was his childhood friend’s voice, but why would he come to Haijing Normal University?

Could he have come to save me?

At that thought, a surge of excitement rushed through Li Wei’s chest.

"Who’s calling you?"

Bai Lele stared at Li Wei.

"My childhood friend!"

Li Wei was worked up: "He came to save me!"

"For real?"

"Your buddy’s way too loyal!"

"Loyal my ass. You think zombies don’t eat loyal people?"

Everyone was whispering. Some were jealous that Li Wei had such a good bro, others didn’t buy it.

After all, who would risk their life for a childhood friend?

In times like these, if a friend is willing to lend you tens of thousands, that relationship is already pretty damn good.

"Li Wei, where are you?"

Li Wei’s childhood friend shouted again.

Judging by the sound, he was already inside the teaching building.

"I’m—"

Li Wei had just opened his mouth to shout back when Wang Haifeng rushed over and clamped a hand over it.

"Are you fucking insane?"

Wang Haifeng growled under his breath: "You wanna lure all the zombies over here?"

"Let me go..."

Li Wei grabbed Wang Haifeng’s hand and pried at it hard.

"Stop yelling!"

Wang Haifeng was very cautious: "What if it’s a trap?"

"What trap?"

Li Wei’s brows furrowed deeply.

"What if it’s some kind of mutated zombie, talking on purpose to lure you out? You’ll be dead for sure!"

Wang Haifeng offered one possibility.

"There are so many teachers and students on campus. I’m such an average nobody, and the zombies would target me with a trick?"

Li Wei mocked himself. He was pretty self-conscious, so that actually became his reason to believe Lin Baici had really come.

He figured if zombies were going to trick someone, they’d go for the campus hotshots first.

Li Wei was about to shout back, answer Lin Baici, when the next second Wang Haifeng covered his mouth again.

"Li Wei, you’re from a poor family, you’ve got no power, no money, no looks—your childhood buddy goes crazy and comes to save you?"

Wang Haifeng actually laughed in anger: "What the hell is in it for him?"

"Search your heart. If it were you, would you go save him?"

"Of course I would!"

Li Wei pressed his lips together.

"Save my dick you would!"

Wang Haifeng cursed: "The armed police and soldiers aren’t here, but your friend shows up? However you look at it, this whole thing stinks."

Li Wei suddenly started struggling hard. He didn’t want to waste breath on Wang Haifeng anymore.

Lin Baici was still outside. He had to get him into the classroom first, otherwise all the zombies would be drawn over there.

Li Wei wasn’t tall, but he was strong. Once he started struggling with everything he had, even Wang Haifeng couldn’t hold him down.

Li Wei broke free and immediately scrambled up onto the window.

"Li Wei, if you leave, don’t bother coming back!"

Bai Lele warned, worried that Li Wei and them would lead the monsters back.

Li Wei didn’t even look at Bai Lele. He hurriedly opened the window and jumped out, then bolted, sprinting toward the place his childhood friend was calling from.

"Bai, I’m here!"

Because of Lin Baici’s voice, the zombies in the hallway were being drawn in that direction.

"The zombies are heading toward Li Wei’s buddy. Should we take the chance to get out?"

Someone thought this was an opportunity.

"Wait a bit longer. We’ll move when all those zombies are gone."

Wang Haifeng wanted to play it safe, and he wasn’t that anxious anymore.

With the way Li Wei kept yelling, ’I’m here, I’m here’, he’d definitely attract all the zombies over there.

Li Wei was almost at the stairwell when he froze.

Because of him and Lin Baici shouting back and forth, zombies upstairs were also rushing down, blocking the stairs.

Li Wei glanced back.

Shit.

The zombies that had been clustered at the door earlier were coming too.

The situation now was, they were being attacked from both ends!

"Bai, get out of the building, it’s full of zombies in here!"

Li Wei had no confidence he could break through the zombies and escape. He immediately went to open the door of a nearby classroom, planning to hide inside.

If worst came to worst, he’d jump from the building.

Just as Li Wei was about to kick the door open, there was a loud boom from the end of the corridor. Three zombies flew out, slammed into the opposite wall, and then Lin Baici took a big stride and leaped up the stairs.

"Bai?"

Li Wei was overjoyed.

Lin Baici turned his head, saw that Li Wei was safe and sound, and relaxed: "Come with me!"

"Let’s go!"

Li Wei spun around and ran back toward the classroom he’d just been hiding in. "Let’s hide first!"

In his mind, the more people, the safer it was. First hole up somewhere, then deal with the zombies chasing them.

"..."

Lin Baici sighed, thinking, Li Wei, didn’t you see I just kicked three zombies flying?

Right now I’m freaking overpowered!

I can get you safely out of this zombie-infested school.

To be fair, you couldn’t really blame Li Wei. In this kind of emergency, he was wound up tight, with only one thought in his head: hurry up and meet up with Lin Baici, then find a place to hide.

So what if the zombies got knocked away?

Lin Baici had always had great physical fitness since he was a kid; full marks in every physical test, the kind that crushed even the sports students.

His PE teachers in both middle school and high school had wanted him to go into athletics, but both of Lin Baici’s homeroom teachers had chewed them out like dogs.

Lin Baici rushed to the front of the classroom and climbed up onto the windowsill. As he climbed, he shouted, "Hurry up and open the window!"

The window did open, but at the same time a stick suddenly jabbed out.

Li Wei didn’t dodge in time, got poked in the chest by the stick, his body arched backward, and he fell toward the ground.

Smack!

Lin Baici rushed over and grabbed Li Wei by the clothes, just keeping him from face-planting.

Through the glass, Lin Baici narrowed his eyes slightly and saw the boy holding the stick.

This bastard didn’t pull his punches.

If Li Wei fell from a window more than a meter high, how could he not get hurt? Once his mobility dropped and zombies started chasing, he’d be dead for sure.

"Get lost!"

Wang Haifeng glared at Lin Baici, clutching the wooden stick as a threat!

What the hell did you come back for?

Hurry up and leave, go lure the zombies away!

"You trying to get us killed?"

Li Wei clutched his chest, pissed off now too.

"You’re the one who wanted to leave!"

Wang Haifeng argued back, "I already said, if you leave, don’t come back!"

"You pull this crap and you’ll get everyone killed, you know that?"

Wang Haifeng was smart; he lumped everyone together on the same side to isolate Li Wei.

Sure enough, Li Wei’s momentum faltered.

He still had too strong a sense of morality and shame; instinctively, he didn’t want to cause trouble for others.

"Then let my buddy in. I’ll leave."

Li Wei gritted his teeth, deciding to save his childhood friend first.

Wang Haifeng had zero intention of agreeing.

He wasn’t anxious at all.

Because the ones outside were Li Wei and his buddy.

As soon as the zombies came, they’d definitely have to run, and once they ran, they’d naturally lure the zombies away.

The others stayed silent too!

It looked like silence, but in reality, this attitude already meant they agreed with Wang Haifeng’s suggestion and were rejecting Li Wei and the others from coming in.

A zombie lunged at Lin Baici.

It was right in his face!

Ah!

In the classroom, a few girls covered their mouths in terror.

’Eat him!’

Bai Lele thought of how this guy had rejected her and wished he’d just hurry up and die.

Then in the next second, everyone saw that super handsome guy snap his right leg out with a smack, fast as lightning.

Bang!

The zombie pouncing at him got kicked flying and crashed into the zombie behind it, knocking that one over too.

"We’re out!"

Seeing zombies lining both sides of the corridor, Lin Baici couldn’t be bothered to fight his way through.

He was about to go see Jiang Yitong; if he got covered in blood, all his style would be gone.

Of course, Lin Baici was in a foul mood now, a little dark inside.

Because if he wiped out all the zombies in the teaching building, wouldn’t these "watch-them-die-and-do-nothing" students be able to just walk out too?

No way!

You can all stay here and wait for death!

So he yanked Li Wei along and dashed into the classroom across the hall.

Bang!

Lin Baici kicked the door open in one go and headed straight for the window on the other side. As he passed the podium, he spun and lashed out with another kick, sending the podium crashing into the doorway.

Bang!

The zombies chasing them got smashed.

Lin Baici ran to the window, took a glance outside, then grabbed Li Wei and hauled him up onto the sill.

"Jump!"

The window was too small for them to go down together, so Lin Baici jumped first.

From the third floor, he landed steady as a rock!

Li Wei was stunned speechless watching this.

"Hurry up and jump!"

Lin Baici looked up and urged him, "I’ll catch you!"

Li Wei trusted Lin Baici unconditionally. Without the slightest hesitation, he jumped too.

"Holy shit, are those two insane?"

"They’re already surrounded by zombies. If they don’t jump, they’re not getting out."

"Li Wei really made himself a ride-or-die bro this time!"

In the classroom opposite, everyone who saw this scene was stunned, while the selfish Bai Lele and Wang Haifeng instantly broke down.

"Fuck, at least lure the zombies away, will you?"

If the zombies don’t leave, what the hell are we supposed to do?
