Chapter 838: Chapter 430: Louis’s Pilgrimage and the Blood Out of Control
Louis’s condition isn’t ideal.
Originally, he thought he could absorb the essence of the bloodline power from thirteen families to create a unique bloodline of his own.
Firstly, to directly enhance his own strength, akin to the trait of extreme resilience possessed by Envy.
Secondly, to give his descendants a head start, helping them win at the starting line.
Curse Swordsmen is a special profession system.
It enhances its own power by absorbing the bloodline of magical creatures, seemingly transforming oneself into a path similar to a Warlock, but fundamentally, it’s not quite the same.
Most Warlocks borrow power from special sources and convert it into skills that are released.
Bloodline Mages, such as Dragon Vein Mages, absorb the special factors in Dragon Blood and obtain power that is unique to dragons.
So they often end up transforming themselves into a different kind of dragon in another sense.
Meanwhile, traditional Warlocks acquire blessings from various worlds or special entities, using a framework similar to the Divine Art system, wielding power from other worlds or mysterious existences.
Some professionals even consider this not a "profession," seeing it more as serving the world’s or mysterious existences’ wills.
But even if you beat a dog, you must look at its owner.
Some owners are so powerful that even if the dog bites you, you can’t retaliate.
Sometimes that dog might even be like a Tibetan mastiff, capable of directly biting you to death.
But Louis knows that Curse Swordsmen are not like that.
If the Nine Swords system is about "strengthening oneself, cutting through the soul," then the Curse Swordsmen system is about "adopting their ways to form one’s own doctrine."
Indeed.
That’s why Curse Swordsmen never consider themselves as magical creatures despite possessing thirteen types of Demigod magical creature bloodlines.
Because they adapt the racial talents of thirteen Demigod magical creatures, transplant or even plunder them onto human bloodlines, augmenting their own bodies.
Thus, the thirteen bloodlines more precisely plunder different branches of the talent powers of thirteen Demigod magical creature races.
Is it impossible to plunder all thirteen at once?
Clearly not.
Just excavating the talent from one type is enough for ordinary Curse Swordsmen to strive for their whole lives.
In fact, without the Anger Blood Armor, Louis wouldn’t even consider absorbing so many Demigod magical creature race talents simultaneously.
The development time is too long; with that time, he could find other ways to enhance himself.
However, the Anger Blood Armor greatly resolved this issue.
Yet, Louis discovered that while the Anger Blood Armor was faultless, there was something amiss on his end.
Grace looked worriedly and didn’t want to leave.
But Louis raised his voice:
"You go out first; I need to discuss something with Olivia."
Realizing he spoke too harshly, he softened his tone: "Your presence here isn’t solving my problem; let her handle it for now."
Grace gave Louis a complex look, nodded, and added:
"Mr. Caesar, if you require assistance, I’m outside and can help anytime."
"Okay."
After Grace left, Olivia anxiously said:
"What’s going on? It seems like something went wrong."
"No need to feel; something did go wrong," Louis said with difficulty. "You remember the effect of the Anger Blood Armor, right?"
"Yes, it pushes bloodline power to the limit."
"I injected these Demigod bloodline potions at once to create Ense’s ’exclusive bloodline,’ beneficial for me and for your and Beatrice’s future children."
Olivia spat, saying, "Who wants to have children with you!"
"Someday you’ll face this issue."
"Not talking about children now," Olivia said urgently. "So it’s a problem with the bloodline potions?"
"No, it’s the combination of the thirteen bloodline potions with the Anger Blood Armor that’s just too effective."
"Effective - isn’t that a good thing?"
"The problem is that injecting so much Demigod bloodline potion at once, combined with the maxed-out Anger Blood Armor, my body can’t handle it. Moreover, the Soldier Master’s profession can’t contain these bloodline powers anymore."
The Little Swan gasped in shock.
This issue had been overlooked by both her and Louis.
She quietly asked, "Is it because you didn’t job into the Soldier Master’s basic profession, Curse Swordsmen?"
"Exactly."
"Trouble is, you used to have all nine sword basic professions mastered, and your selected advanced profession was within the Nine Swords framework, so we completely ignored this issue."
The Little Swan couldn’t hold it anymore, trying hard not to laugh:
"Normally, conventional professionals don’t face this choice dilemma.
They tend to complete the basic profession somewhat before advancing, but you’re different; you always play at the extremes."
Louis sighed: "Yes, they can’t directly choose the advanced profession as the base requirement, so they can only consume levels to make up for missing requirements.
This method seems level-wasting, but it complements the framework, not considered waste from an ordinary professional’s viewpoint."
Using a cultivation world perspective, ordinary cultivators with limited talent must advance step by step along predecessors’ paths. Though regular and time-consuming, they lay sturdy foundations.
Yet always some geniuses, due to excellent cultivation potential, rapidly improve strength, nearing advancement before having a solid foundation.
