Qin Lun was mentally and physically exhausted. When he hurriedly left the Boundary Dimension, he did not notice that there were actually a few important reminder messages at the very bottom of the settlement list.
But, this could not be blamed on him. Most previous reminder messages were placed at the top of the settlement list. The final settlement list was actually just an inventory, and whether he looked at it or not did not matter.
On the settlement list, Qin Lun’s Law Body attributes had undergone significant new changes. During this world journey, Qin Lun first evolved when receiving the Elven Hunter’s Ancient Inheritance. Then, during his return, he used a large amount of Enhancement Energy to evolve once more, resulting in substantial changes to his body attributes.
The simulated health points on the Death Notice had reached 1058, and his Energy Points had increased by about 50%, with the upper limit reaching 1480.
In this world, he gained 71 Contribution Points, making his total contribution 279 points. His Apostle title rose to the second rank, third level (custom Qin military merit title: Dafu). Soul Lifespan: 147/147.
Explosive Power 58 points, Agility 73 (+3) points, Constitution 47 (+7) points, Perception 62 (+8) points, Mental Will 46 (+16) points, Protection 26 (+18) points (values in parentheses are from equipment bonuses).
Bloodline Abilities: Top-Tier Elf Whispers (fused with Moonlit Summoning), Shadow Talent, Wind Element Affinity, Wood Element Affinity, Earth Element Affinity, Blood of Dissection.
Among these, the Shadow Talent derived a new C- grade skill – Concealment (C- grade): A hunter should possess good camouflage and hiding abilities. While stationary, a Jungle Hunter can consume Mana Value to cover their body surface with a concealment magic, eliminating their own aura and avoiding enemy detection. This skill can only be used while stationary and will continuously drain Energy Points.
Compared to the improved Law Body attributes, Qin Lun’s techniques and skills underwent even more earth-shaking changes. This was also the main reason why he could unlock the Second Order promotion, not just due to the Hunter’s Heart effect.
On the Death Notice’s technique column: the original Firearms Mastery changed to Master-level Shooting Technique (including both firearms and bows as ranged attack methods), Intermediate Sword Art changed to One-Handed Melee Weapon Mastery (Intermediate technique), Primary Magic Network Core evolved into Intermediate Magic Web, and Dagger Proficiency advanced to Advanced Dagger Mastery (Advanced technique).
In the skill column, the original Tree World Descent (A+ grade), Maze Spirit Channeling Art (C grade), Pentagram Crystal Mirror (C+ grade), Combat Gunmanship (C- grade) – these skills did not change. Other skills were more or less influenced by the Elven Inheritance.
Clock Eye officially rose from B+ grade to A grade, and could use the A grade skill Stellar Black Hole. However, because Qin Lun’s own Mental Will was only 46 points, he still needed equipment assistance, so when using this skill, he would still suffer slight backlash.
Detection Aura improved to B- grade skill, detection range expanded from seventy meters to over a hundred meters. Swift Wind Step improved to C grade skill; the application of this skill began transforming from an auxiliary magic towards the Elven Race’s innate abilities, starting to possess physical power attributes, and derived a D grade skill called “Leap”.
Spiral Shooting Technique improved to D+ grade, possessing C grade Guided Arrow ‘Wind Arrow’, C+ grade ‘Piercing Arrow’, and the combined B- grade Spiral Piercing Arrow.
Among firearm skills combined with Elven archery, two more C grade skills were added: ‘Scatter Shot’ and ‘Rapid Shot’. Ballistic Refraction improved to D+ grade, Weakness Crosshair improved to C grade.
Besides the advancements and derivations of these original skills, Qin Lun finally gained his first trap skill for the Jungle Hunter profession – Wood Trap (D+ grade).
Wood Trap (D+ grade): Can create a simple vine trap anywhere with grass and vegetation. Depending on the plant type, it can add poison, entanglement, and life drain abilities. This skill has a cooldown time of 30 minutes; the Energy Points consumed and trap effect depend on the terrain and plant type.
Apart from body attributes, the transformation of techniques and skills, Qin Lun also obtained a second summoned beast in the Toril World – the seventh tier Shadow Gale Panther. Venus possessed high-rank stealth and Wind Blade talents, with burst speed that was extremely fast, making it more suitable for the role of hunting assistant than the Inferno Hound.

…
Qin Lun slowly opened his eyes and looked around. He had returned to the Teleportation Hall before the Fortress Team entered the Toril World. Different from previous mission returns, this time there were two other Apostles behind him.
“Don’t worry, I will fully record your performance in the mission world this time and pass it to the Tianfu Team. However, our team suffered a complete failure this time, and we switched Apostle factions. Whether they will still accept you, I don’t know!”
When she saw Qin Lun looking over, Nicole bit her lower lip, her expression extremely complicated. Longer beside her was basically the same. In the Valley of the Undead, Qin Lun did not hesitate to abandon them and escape alone. Yet, Nicole and the others could not condemn this behavior.
After all, Qin Lun was not a formal member of their team, so there was no reason for him to live and die together with Fortress. Looking over the entire mission process, Qin Lun never held the team back, and he even made significant contributions to the team several times.
In the Qiongda’er Forest, besides the main plotline, they also received the Moon Elf migration side mission, giving the Fortress Team hope to make up for the Contribution Points shortfall.
In the Ank Forest, due to Qin Lun’s plot identity, the Lost Novices had to cooperate with them, sharing the Ancient Path, and they even received the dual plotline of “Ancient Path (False)”.
At Ironstar Fortress, Qin Lun also made important contributions to killing the Earth Salamander. Up to this point, it finally allowed Stark to barely meet the title requirements for taking over as Silver Team Leader.
As for the two teams encountering danger in the Valley of the Undead after that, it actually had little to do with Qin Lun. Besides, he had reminded Stark before, advising him to exit this world in Calimshan. It was only because Milleras suddenly changed his mind that the subsequent tragedy occurred.
“Good luck!” Remembering the departed companions, Nicole’s face darkened, and she immediately lost interest in chatting.
“Good luck to you too!” Qin Lun smiled slightly and turned to walk towards the hall entrance.
“Wait! You… actually, Kelly thinks highly of you. You should seriously consider her suggestion!” Just as Qin Lun was about to exit the doorway, Nicole sighed and finally couldn’t help advising him.
“Thank you!” Qin Lun’s steps paused, and he turned back to nod at the two of them.
“Nicole, why did you advise him? Don’t you know that if he also joins Lost, there’s a high chance he’ll still be in the same team as us?” Longer asked with a complicated expression. “Are you still willing to enter the same world with him? Aren’t you afraid he will abandon everyone again and escape alone?”
“Did he do anything wrong?” Nicole watched Qin Lun’s departing back and said expressionlessly.
“He didn’t do anything wrong, and to some extent, he even made significant contributions to Fortress!” Longer was silent for a long moment, then said with a gloomy face, “But I absolutely refuse to be in the same team as him again. Whenever I see him, I remember the companions who died in the Valley of the Undead!”
“…” Nicole watched Longer leaving angrily and fell silent.
As a team, when everyone had suffered sacrifices, if someone remained safe and sound and achieved greater accomplishments and rewards, it was inevitable for others to direct their anger towards that person.
Was Qin Lun wrong? In a sense, he was wrong. This had nothing to do with benefits or emotions. For a team, independent consciousness that goes against the team’s interests is itself a mistake.
…
After walking out of the Fortress Teleportation Hall, Qin Lun looked at the bright sky and took a deep breath, his eyes somewhat confused. This was the first time he felt puzzled. However, his eyes quickly cleared again, and he smiled at the few people approaching ahead.
