Chapter 408: 408:Leaf’s Full Birth VI
---
She became a Sangufey who enjoyed building and was more useful than one who only enjoyed ruling. At last the planting was done.
The boxes stood empty on the grass, their useful contents now hidden under new soil lines, blood-garden roots, and Dryad-worked planting grounds. Around them, the patch did not explode outward, but it deepened. The life there no longer felt merely new. It felt anchored.
Leaf turned back toward Sekhmet.
She was still in her smaller form, but there was nothing small in the way she held herself now. Behind her, the five Dryads had returned to their positions, though the line of their bodies now bent subtly around the new planting points. Above her, the Flesh Fairies moved in slower circles than before, they were not guarding her alone, but they were guarding the zone itself. The Flesh Treant remained behind all of them, its huge eyes half lidded in a stillness that did not mean sleep, only ownership.
"It is done," Leaf said to Sekhmet.
"For now," Sekhmet corrected her.
Leaf nodded. Then repeated, "For now."
Bat Bat rose from her crouch and dusted grass from her knees with the dignity of someone who believed she had been instrumental. "I would like the record to show that morale, commentary, and witness authority were all present."
Auri said, "No one is writing any record."
Bat Bat lifted her chin. "Then memory will have to serve."
One of the Flesh Fairies landed on Bat Bat’s shoulder as if in agreement. That only made her more insufferable.
Leaf looked from Bat Bat to the Fairy, then to Sekhmet again.
"What next, my king?"
That question settled over the patch with surprising weight. It was not because it was dramatic. Because it was correct.
Sekhmet looked over the growing zone one more time. The seeds had gone into the earth. The Trinity had accepted the first command. The Bloodlands patch had begun its first true strengthening.
Enough for one cycle.
"You grow them," he said. "You watch them. You learn this land."
Leaf listened with complete stillness.
He repeated, "You do not rush. You do not spread without my word. You make this place harder to kill."
Her crimson eyes sharpened at that line.
"Yes."
That was the right answer.
Bat Bat, perhaps sensing the seriousness of the moment despite all evidence usually arguing against such self-control, did not interrupt.
Auri did not either.
The Flesh Fairies went still in the air. The Dryads held their edges. The Flesh Treant’s many eyes watched.
Sekhmet gave the final line cleanly.
"When I return, I expect this nest to be better than when I left it."
Leaf lowered her head.
"Yes, my king."
And this time, behind her, the Trinity responded without needing to be told.
The Flesh Fairies lowered in the air. The Dryads bowed. The Flesh Treant lowered its vast body once more.
The first seeds were in the ground. The first command had been carried out.
And the Void Land, once only dark and empty, had begun keeping promises in red and green.
He said, "Bat Bat you will stay with Leaf and Auri."
After that Sekhmet left the growing Bloodlands patch without hurry.
Behind him, Leaf remained in the center of her new domain. Bat Bat remained with Leaf, still wearing the expression of someone who had just been handed the happiest responsibility of her life and intended to complain about the burden only out of tradition. Auri stayed quiet and dark and reliable as ever.
Sekhmet did not look back again once he turned toward the Void Gate.
The ground changed beneath his feet as he walked. The new grass of the Bloodlands gave way slowly to the harder, emptier stretches of the Void Land. The red flowers became fewer. The roots sank deeper and disappeared into the black soil. The air itself seemed to thin again, losing some of the rich blood-nature pressure that had gathered around Leaf’s zone.
The contrast made the success clearer. And now, at last, the system stirred once more.
[SYSTEM Notification: Vampire Creation skill has reacted to target evolution.]
Sekhmet’s steps did not stop, but his focus turned inward immediately.
[SYSTEM Notification: Leaf has been successfully registered under Vampire Creation.
Trinity-linked transformation confirmed.
Leaf’s current Chaos Rank has been assessed.
Leaf Chaos Rank: Three.
Leaf’s Trinity has reached its current lesser command capacity.
Flesh Fairies linked: 5
Carnivorous Dryads linked: 5
Total subordinate slots filled: 10/10.
Leaf’s current subordinate slots are complete with trinity. No empty subordinate positions remain under the present growth stage.
Further expansion will require evolution, growth of the Bloodlands ecosystem, or hosts need to upgrade vampire creations skill more.]
"So that is the final confirmation. Chaos Rank Three. And all ten of her slots were already filled by Trinity."
Leaf had not become some decorative hybrid vampire spirit queen sitting on a patch of flowers. She had stepped directly into real value. Not only as a bloodline creation, but as a developing force inside the Void Land. A rank three queen with a complete first Trinity, a living fortress, five flesh fairies, five carnivorous dryads, and a growing bloodlands nest was not something to look at and praise. It was something to build around.
That pleased him. It also sharpened his thinking.
Ten slots full already meant one thing clearly. Leaf’s current form was only the beginning. If she grew stronger, if the Bloodlands spread, if the vampire creations skill upgrades, then that number would rise for all his women. More fairies. More dryads. A stronger Treant. Perhaps even something worse for whoever one day tried to throw war against him.
Sekhmet’s eyes moved once across the growing zone.
"Good. I will let it grow. Soon Mira and Lily will fill up their subordinates slots too." He murmured to himself.
Then the system opened the broader window.

Sekhmet read it without slowing.
Lily remained the highest among his direct transformed women at Rank Four.
Mira had settled well into Rank Three. The twins held steady at Rank Three. Now Leaf had joined them there.
Interesting balance.
His bloodline was no longer a handful of accidents and desperate survivals. It was becoming structured. Distinct branches. Distinct races. Distinct functions. Lily for force and higher-rank potential. Mira for venom, strategy, and business loyalty turned into bloodline power. The twins for household stability and direct combat support, his bodyguard. Leaf for territory, ecosystem expansion, and a hive-like mobile fortress for war.
"Good."
The shape was still incomplete, but it had become real enough to matter. He reached the darker stretch near the Void Gate and let the status window close.
The black emptiness around the gate looked almost plain after what had just been born behind him.
Then suddenly one of the bats came to him.
It dropped out of the dim air in a fast dark flutter and landed on the stone just ahead of him. Not one of the ordinary nervous little things. This one had purpose in its body. It looked up at him at once and made a sharp urgent sound.
Sekhmet’s gaze lowered.
The bat chirped again, then turned its head toward the deeper prison side of the Void Land.
Toward where the sealed true vampires were kept. Sofia and Natasha. Something happened there.
He stood still for one breath, then watched the bat ruffle its wings and chirp a third time, as if insisting the message was important enough to interrupt even this moment.
