"The Celestial Tournament only happened now because I wanted to pick the best of this generation," Remira's voice sounded calm. "But now… I don't think anyone in the universe would be crazy enough to say you're not the greatest of this generation. Actually, you've proven yourself unmatched in all of history, and no one like you will ever appear again."
Darian nodded. All the leaders of the organizations nodded as well, agreeing immediately; their expressions were still filled with fear.
Remira continued, "There's no real point in continuing the fights. The tournament only had 16 participants… one of them was from the Chaos Elementals Sect, and we'll obviously disqualify him. Darian will be declared the special and absolute winner of this generation. The other 14 will all be classified as second place, since their positions don't really matter. In the future, I'll personally give those 14 a great reward. As for the rest below them, they'll receive something as well, according to what I promised before."
That announcement was heard across the entire planet—and almost the entire universe.
Gildor and the people from the Golden Crow Sect were completely stunned. This meant… their sect was the grand winner, the only one in all of history to achieve something like this. The queens of the Bakunawa Abyssal Triarchy were also holding their breath; Vymara, who had been among the 16, was now one of the 14 declared as second place.
After finishing, Remira turned to Darian. Their eyes met, and she was clearly waiting for him to say what he wanted.
After a few seconds of silence, the two of them smiled faintly; both felt a wave of nostalgia. They remembered the years they spent in the Divine Seven-Star Sect, where they fought side by side in countless bloody battles to defeat that enemy King.
Back then, Darian was the strategist, the one who led and trained all the armies, while Remira stayed by his side, supporting him in every way.
"Let's deal with those idiots already," Darian said calmly, and she nodded.
Without delay, she floated toward him, under the silent—and somewhat confused—gazes of everyone on the planet.
From everything they had heard so far… these two knew each other? How?
When she reached his side, Remira took a deep breath and extended her hand forward. In the next second, a distorted power flowed around her.
*Buzz*
Space bent, and a passage opened in front of them.
She turned to Darian with a calm expression. He nodded and stepped forward, entering the passage.
Both of them disappeared instantly, leaving everyone on the planet in complete silence.
...
In the next moment, Darian found himself floating in space. Behind him was a massive golden sun; in front of him, a grand, radiant planet with vast continents full of natural life.
"This is where the Chaos Elementals Sect is based… Lord Mihkriel had good intentions when he created the Infinite Chaos Seal, but those idiots got lucky and messed everything up," Remira said with clear anger. "Planning to wipe everything out?"
Darian thought for a moment, then sighed. "It wasn't just luck. I also found out they were connected to the cultivators of the Evil Path, and they were responsible for destroying many organizations to gather their inheritances."
Hearing that, killing intent surged in Remira's eyes. She had no idea about this. But thinking about it, the Evil Path cultivators were like an immortal hydra; she had tried to cut off their heads before, hunting them across the universe. But new heads always grew back. They always managed to survive, hide, and multiply quickly.
Clearly, they had massive support from some organization. But she had never been able to find out which one.
"They won't be a problem anymore. I can sense them easily through their karma, just like everyone connected to the Evil Path across the universe. No one can escape," Darian said indifferently, noticing her expression.
Remira's eyes lit up, a smile forming. "Aunt Meru's technique really suited you. You learned to use everything perfectly, and then turned it into something that's entirely yours. She must be a very proud Big Sister—and she probably spoiled you a lot, right?"
Darian took a deep breath, looking at her amused expression. He couldn't deny it.
During his childhood, Meru took care of him just like his mother. But she knew exactly how to deal with him, and what he liked.
Even Niara would probably get a little jealous if she knew all this. After all, there was no competing with that—Darian would never go back to being a baby or a child. The bond he had with his Big Sister and his mother was something completely unique. Just like the bond he had with Alear, Lucy, and Lucius.
At that moment, the two of them turned toward the planet. Then, Remira snorted, and her power erupted like a volcano.
On the planet, all the Heavenly Elemental Spirits of Chaos were gathered, completely terrified. Just minutes ago, they had lost their connection to their main Elders and their sect leader.
And now…
**BUZZ!**
A violent hum and tremor spread, followed by an intense multicolored light that covered the entire planet. It was like a celestial mantle—completely intangible and impenetrable.
All lifeforms on the planet looked up at the sky, stunned. Everything had been sealed. No one could even dream of escaping.
Slowly, two figures appeared, descending over the sect's great city.
Darian's loud, indifferent voice echoed:
"Listen carefully, because I'll only say this once. Everyone connected to this sect—gather quietly and surrender. You will all be investigated due to your connection with the cultivators of the Evil Path. Anyone who dares to resist, even slightly, will be eliminated immediately."
When the most powerful members of the sect saw Remira beside Darian, they recognized her instantly. And given her bloody history—knowing she had already wiped out more than one major organization without hesitation—they didn't dare resist.
Darian's gaze focused on every single person within the sect, his senses sweeping across every inch of the planet.
Without delay, he simply pointed at individuals—and Remira began acting, eliminating them without hesitation or discussion.
Anyone with above-average karma—Darian could see their actions in this life and point them out with absolute precision. There were no mistakes under his power.
In the future, all the major forces of the universe would be horrified upon hearing the news. Eighty-five percent of the Chaos Elementals Sect's cultivators had been completely wiped out. Fortunately, the sect would still exist—but it would be nothing like before.
...
Three days later, within the Golden Crow Sect, Emina received a call from Darian and rushed out excitedly. Without delay, she boarded a flying vessel and headed straight for the fifth largest—and most incredible—planet in the universe, a place she had never even dreamed of setting foot on.
She had been told not to hold back on resources, so she spent heavily to arrive in just a few hours.
When she arrived at the planet, she was stunned to see it completely sealed and covered by a terrifying power. But an opening appeared just for her to enter.
The moment she stepped onto the planet and saw Darian, she immediately became nervous and stiff.
That was because the entire universe had watched the events of the Celestial Tournament. Darian was now the most well-known figure of all, drawing a mix of fear and admiration from everyone.
Seeing her reaction, Darian just gave a faint smile, acting the same as always.
He brought her to a massive storage hall inside the sect. There used to be a huge amount of weapons and all kinds of items made by the cultivators of the Evil Path. It was ten times more than what Remira had obtained before, after the events at the Healers of Heaven Sect.
"Take everything. But this time, you don't need to focus on squeezing out the maximum profit. Prioritize speed, because very soon you'll have an almost infinite stock of these things. I need as many resources as possible in a short time," Darian said calmly, and she nodded.
Darian's priority was still his cultivation. But now that he was reaching the final levels, things would become absurdly more difficult. Because of that, his only real option to progress as fast as possible was to use indigo jades.
These treasures, used as currency across the universe, contained a large amount of celestial power within them. But that energy was heavily contaminated.
Normally, cultivators didn't absorb it, since it would greatly harm their future. Its most common use was in inscriptions, constructions like flying vessels, and similar things.
But obviously, Darian didn't have that problem. He had already been stockpiling resources for a while, and his priority now was to gather even more. Fortunately, the universe had a massive source waiting for him—hidden in the shadows.
Remira had already shown she was willing to help this universe as much as possible, so Darian, using his power together with hers, would hunt down the cultivators of the Evil Path until they were completely eradicated—taking everything they had in the process.
Even so… Darian felt it would still take dozens of years to reach the peak of cultivation.
For others, if he said it would take only ten thousand years, they would be completely shocked—it was already an absurdly fast time. But Darian was frustrated that it would take even a few decades. He didn't want to stay here that long.
When Emina left with everything, Remira approached him with a serious expression.
"Darian, I've checked all the Jade Slips of this sect. They do have the complete inheritance of the Heavenly Elemental Spirit God, but they haven't explored it much, and no one has gone very far. With just this inheritance, they'll be able to rebuild."
Darian nodded, speaking thoughtfully. "Good. Let's completely remove the old inheritance. But… I think it'd be too harsh to take 100% of the Infinite Chaos Seal and completely stop new Chaos Elemental Spirits from being born."
"Do you have a plan?" Remira asked, confused.
Darian asked to go to where the main inheritance was, left behind by the first Heavenly Elemental Spirit of Chaos, Mihkriel.
He read everything. After thinking for a bit, his eyes lit up.
"Lord Mihkriel isn't even close to Lord Lian in terms of skill and understanding of chaos power," Darian murmured beside Remira, sounding excited.
"I received Lord Lian's complete inheritance when we completed that trial back then. For many years, I practiced and used chaos power. This Infinite Chaos Seal has a very simple mechanism… but my current strength isn't enough to manipulate it properly."
Remira spoke calmly. "That's not a problem. My Bloodline, after reaching the peak of cultivation, can generate a bit of immortal power. Since we now control everything, I can manipulate Lord Mihkriel's power however you want."
An excited smile appeared on Darian's face, and countless ideas flashed through his mind. Without wasting time, the two of them moved toward the Seal.
***
Three full months passed.
Inside the planet and the Chaos Elementals Sect, everything remained sealed. No one could enter or leave without permission.
At that moment, Darian and Remira finally completed the process.
Basically, Mihkriel had used all his power to create a set of 100 central cores that could generate chaos power, along with a dozen main runes that acted like its limbs.
The Seal automatically absorbed celestial power from the universe to create chaos power, and when it reached a certain amount, it would condense everything to give birth to a new Heavenly Elemental Spirit of Chaos.
This process could be sped up a lot. The sect just had to provide specific resources, and two members of that race would unite, sharing part of their essence.
It was like a father and mother giving part of themselves to create a new life. Because of that, new members of that race could be born quite easily. In the end, they could produce thousands of them every few years.
But now, Darian had basically removed 90 of the 100 cores. He modified the few remaining ones so they would only function automatically, with no way to stack resources or alter the process to create more of that race.
This way, the Seal would still function, and Heavenly Elemental Spirits of Chaos could still be born and exist in the universe. But at most, there would only be around a dozen per generation.
As for the other cores… Darian had a method to reverse their function. He would sacrifice the cores, extracting only the celestial essence left behind by Mihkriel, and gain an absurd amount of energy to cultivate.
'This should save me about a decade of cultivation,' Darian thought, satisfied with his work.
It would still take a long time, but it was a good gain. In the end, Darian could only hope to come across more opportunities like this and reduce the time as much as possible.
