Chapter 885: 891 Press Conference (1)
Huo Jinnan, "Mom, we’ll go back with you."
Zhong Qin looked at Huo Jinnan, "Huanhuan needs to get out for some fresh air. You should walk with her a bit more. I’m fine."
Qin Huan looked at Mother Zhong, seemingly understanding the situation.
She tugged Huo Jinnan’s sleeve, "Let Mom go back on her own."
Huo Jinnan’s brows furrowed slightly, but he said nothing more.
Zhong Qin thought about the time for the news release and quickened her pace.
Qin Huan watched, "Mom, be careful, don’t rush."
Zhong Qin turned back and smiled at Qin Huan, "Huanhuan, I understand."
Once she was far, Huo Jinnan lowered his eyes to look at Qin Huan, his long fingers pinching her face, lifting it for a kiss.
Qin Huan leaned into his embrace, "Let Mom go if she wants to see it. Otherwise, it’ll always weigh on her mind."
Huo Jinnan looked at Qin Huan, his voice low and magnetic, "You’ve never met Jin Bo, which is why you say that."
Qin Huan furrowed her brows and looked at Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan bent down cooperatively, letting her easily cling to him.
After he’d kissed her enough, Qin Huan bit his thin lip, "You met with the Mayor?"
Huo Jinnan hugged Qin Huan’s waist, "Yes."
Qin Huan bit her lip, looking at him.
Huo Jinnan said softly, "It’s him, but he didn’t say anything unnecessary."
Qin Huan’s mouth fell open, standing there stunned, was it really my brother?
Suddenly, she took a deep breath, "Jinnan, let’s go back. There will definitely be trouble if Mom sees it."
Huo Jinnan’s brow furrowed, "Mom is a rational person."
Qin Huan, "That’s different. He’s her son. What if she goes directly to the news release? What if she goes to find Mayor Jin later?"
Huo Jinnan furrowed his brow.
Qin Huan looked at Huo Jinnan, "You’re a man, you don’t understand that feeling. If it were me, I’d go through fire and water."
Huo Jinnan agreed with a hum, took Qin Huan’s hand, and quickly returned to Nanyuan Villa.
As they entered, they saw Zhong Qin sitting there with a remote control in her hand, seemingly in a psychological struggle.
Qin Huan glanced and understood immediately: Mother Zhong feared losing her last hope if she watched, but would always worry if she didn’t.
She pretended to be uncomfortable, holding her stomach and groaning softly.
Huo Jinnan glanced, playing along, "How are you feeling? Is your stomach still hurting?"
Zhong Qin heard Huo Jinnan’s voice, snapped back to reality, looked at Qin Huan, dropped the remote and hurried over, "Huanhuan, what’s wrong?"
Qin Huan shook her head, merely frowning and staying silent.
Zhong Qin remembered Huanhuan was pregnant with twins and anemic, frightened, her breathing suddenly accelerated, "No, Anan, quick, hospital!"
Huo Jinnan agreed briefly, looked at Uncle Lu, "Get the car ready."
Uncle Lu quickly went to get the car.
Zhong Qin glanced, thankful there hadn’t been any bleeding yet, "Huanhuan, where do you feel uncomfortable?"
Qin Huan looked at Zhong Qin, silently saying "sorry" in her heart, "Mom, my stomach."
Zhong Qin couldn’t relax, worried Anan might not handle it well since he’s a man; she followed when Uncle Lu drove to the front.
...
At the hospital, Zhong Qin accompanied Qin Huan into Shen Mubai’s office.
Huo Jinnan took the opportunity to send a text to Jin Bo while using the restroom, "Your box of mooncakes keeps her worrying. As soon as the conference ends, clear all broadcast records. I don’t want her to see it; Mom’s just had surgery and isn’t stable yet."
