Chapter 747: Good luck-1 750
The first round began quickly, with Qin Huan playing one hand, Wen Nuan playing another, Qin Shaojin playing a third, and Shen You and Yu Zimu sharing a hand.
After dealing the cards, Qin Shaonan glanced at Wen Nuan’s hand, and from her way of arranging her tiles, she was indeed a novice.
Qin Shaojin was the first to discard. Wen Nuan looked at her hand, saw an opportunity to "pong," but she didn’t take it.
After going around once and noticing that she didn’t "pong" or "chow" when she had the chance, Qin Shaonan quickly lost interest. It was clear she was aiming for seven pairs, a rookie move, and very naive.
A few rounds later, a burst of laughter suddenly came from the side.
Qin Shaonan turned to look, his expression changing several times.
Shen You and Yu Zimu looked over at Qin Shaonan. Could it be that Wangzi’s sister had listened in? No way, she hadn’t claimed a tile for so long, could she be holding back a big play?
Qin Shaojin and Qin Huan also turned their attention to Wen Nuan.
Wen Nuan’s eyes sparkled with joy as she pushed over her tiles, "I win!"
Yu Zimu, Shen You, Qin Shaojin, and Qin Huan all looked over: seven pairs, self-drawn!
Such luck was indeed good!
Qin Shaonan didn’t say anything. Her luck was not just good; it was extraordinarily good—she started with only two pairs and drew everything else herself.
Meanwhile, Wen Nuan cheerfully called the waiter over to move chips from in front of Qin Huan, Shen You, Yu Zimu, and Qin Shaojin towards herself, and couldn’t help but turn to Qin Shaonan, "Brother Shaonan, how much is one chip worth?"
Qin Shaonan said in a low voice, "Ten thousand."
Wen Nuan exclaimed with a "Wow~", looking at the chips in front of her, feeling like she was about to strike it rich!
She continued with great enthusiasm.
Qin Shaonan no longer looked at Qin Huan’s tiles but focused on Wen Nuan’s, without ever looking away again.
When Wen Nuan started aiming for a clean suit, she didn’t win in the end. Qin Huan did, with Yu Zimu providing the winning discard.
In the third round, as Wen Nuan began aiming for thirteen wonders, Qin Shaonan glanced at her face and was indeed curious to see how long her good luck would last.
As he watched, he started to take it seriously.
The girl wasn’t actually dumb; she had her own way of playing. Although unconventional, it was quite interesting.
Soon, he thought of another person who played similarly, yet always had good luck and won at Mahjong!
His expression turned instantly colder, and he quickly looked away.
Wen Nuan noticed the change in Brother Shaonan’s expression. What did that mean? Did he think she was stupid?
She looked down, rechecked her tiles and didn’t think so. She felt she had a good chance.
Qin Shaonan kept his eyes on the middle of the table and, after seeing Qin Shaojin discard, noticed Wen Nuan didn’t react. He said in a deep voice, "It’s your turn to win."
Wen Nuan looked at Qin Shaonan, "Brother Shaonan, are you talking to me?"
"..."
Qin Shaonan didn’t respond, focusing instead on his own tiles and not the ones discarded into the middle. That she could win like this could only mean she was lucky!
Wen Nuan glanced at the middle, "Really? I win!"
After pushing over her tiles, Shen You and Yu Zimu were completely flabbergasted—she won like that?
But since the lost chips belonged to Qin Shaojin, they felt a secret thrill of pleasure.
Wen Nuan was even more pleased, seeing a large portion of Qin Shaojin’s chips being moved in front of her. She pursed her lips, in high spirits, and her feet joyfully jiggled up and down!
Watching Qin Shaojin’s face, she smiled, revealing sweet dimples, "Brother Shaojin, going to keep playing? It looks like you’re running low on chips."
Qin Shaojin looked at Wen Nuan, "Really?"
Wen Nuan nodded emphatically.
Qin Shaojin took a deep breath and said to the waiter, "Exchange another million for chips for me."
