Qin Huan simply responded, looking up and moving towards the stairs with a distinct sound with each step, climbing the steps one by one.
Huo Jinnan paused for a few seconds, then quickly followed her upstairs.
Qin Huan, hearing the footsteps behind her, grew increasingly vacant in her gaze.
When they reached the door to the room, she gently pushed it open and looked back at Huo Jinnan.
Huo Jinnan came over, and they entered the room together, closing the door behind them.
Qin Huan leaned into him, her heart felt as though it was splitting open with discomfort, unsure of what to do.
Trying to be relaxed, trying to smile, but her heart still ached!
Huo Jinnan looked down at her, gently calling out, "Huanhuan."
Qin Huan snapped back to reality, looking up at him, her eyes painfully stinging with emotion that took a long time to settle.
After a while, she closed her eyes, leaning closer into his embrace, feeling the warmth of his body.
Even though his embrace was so warm, why did she still feel so cold all over?
Seeing her like this, Huo Jinnan stiffened for a moment, his hand gripping hers as he stared at Qin Huan, "Huanhuan, don’t be like this."
"Mhm."
Qin Huan replied, opening her eyes and smiling at Huo Jinnan.
That smile was too hollow, failing to reach the depths of her eyes.
Qin Huan felt awful inside, unsure of what to do, the feeling of helplessness nearly driving her mad.
Huo Jinnan took a deep breath and embraced her tightly, pulling her close.
Qin Huan leaned against him, feeling somewhat breathless, resting against his shoulder while looking towards the door, the words he had previously said still echoing in her ears.
"I don’t want this child."

Huo Jinnan, hearing her voice, closed his eyes. He hadn’t expected her anemia to be so severe, nor had he anticipated a twin pregnancy.
