An hour later, Wen Nuan left Shen Mubai’s office and saw Qin Shaojin sitting there. With her little round face all red, she said in a not-so-nice tone, "I’m done!"
Qin Shaojin looked up, glanced at Wen Nuan, and noticed that her belly had shrunk quite a bit. He wondered if the toilet in Shen Mubai’s office bathroom was still intact.
Wen Nuan felt uncomfortable under his strange gaze and turned to walk towards the elevator.
Qin Shaojin saw a nurse coming out, holding a bottle of unspent enema solution. He casually asked, "What’s that medicine?"
"Don’t say it!"
"Enema solution."
Both the nurse’s and Wen Nuan’s voices rang out at the same time.
How embarrassing!
Wen Nuan stood there for a long while before she turned around with difficulty to look in the direction of the nurse and Qin Shaojin, wondering whether Shaojin knew what enema solution was for.
After looking at Qin Shaojin for several times and seeing he seemed clueless, she started to feel relieved. Well, she hadn’t known about enema solution before either. Ordinary people wouldn’t need it!
Qin Shaojin observed Wen Nuan’s changing expressions and her pale face, and he guessed that since Shen Mubai had been away for such a long time, he probably knew his office bathroom was doomed.
"Aren’t you waiting for Shen Mubai to come back?"
"There’s no need. Dean Shen called to say he won’t be back until another hour and told me to leave first."
Thinking of the smell she had left in Dr. Shen’s office bathroom, Wen Nuan’s face turned as red as a cooked shrimp!
She glanced at the door of Shen Mubai’s office, thankful that she turned on the exhaust fan before leaving. She just didn’t know if Dr. Shen would tell others about this mortifying incident. If her brother-in-law and others found out, how could she face anyone!
"Let’s go."
Qin Shaojin spoke and, remembering what Shen Mubai had said, walked past Wen Nuan and straight into the elevator.
Wen Nuan watched his retreating figure indignantly. Qin Shaojin, I’m not done with you!
Following behind him, she stomped hard on his shadow, especially where the head was, feeling the sneaky thrill of stepping on Shaojin’s face. Stomp, stomp, stomp, stomp you to death, you annoying jerk!
Having squatted in the bathroom for too long, her legs were somewhat weak. As she stepped down, Qin Shaojin suddenly stopped, and she couldn’t stop herself from crashing into his back.
Qin Shaojin turned around to look at Wen Nuan.
Wen Nuan rubbed her head, feeling guilty. She glanced at Qin Shaojin, wondering if this vindictive man would seek retribution if he knew she was stepping on his shadow.
With that thought, she quickly passed Qin Shaojin and headed towards the elevator.
Qin Shaojin watched for a moment and then followed. Just as he was halfway through the elevator doors, they suddenly closed, pinching his arm hard.
Wen Nuan bit her lip, quietly moving away the hand that pressed the close button and placed it behind her.
Not wanting to ride the elevator with him, she had pressed the close button a few times in desperation, not expecting to catch him in it, which delighted her! It served as revenge for the kidney incident!
However, she stood there, making sure not to show even a hint of a smile on her face.
Qin Shaojin entered the elevator and looked at the spot where the doors had pinched him.
Wen Nuan glanced at it and silently thought, "That’s karma, serves you right!"
When they reached the first floor, just as Qin Shaojin stepped out of the elevator, a nurse came over, "Mr. Qin, Dean Shen asked you to go to the billing department to settle the medical bill."
Qin Shaojin looked back at Wen Nuan and walked towards the outpatient building.
Wen Nuan realized that this was an upscale hospital; the medical fees must be high. Should she sneak away?
Thinking of the fact that they’d see each other every day, and there was still unpaid kidney to deal with, she decided to follow him, continuously glancing at Qin Shaojin, wondering if he would ask her to cover the medical bill. She was just a poor student!
